Greeted by "Wala po kaming Tocino, Bangus, Pares etc etc" "We don't have Tocino, Bangus, Peri Peri Pork etcI mean, I went around 1PM on a Sunday. If they don't have most of their menu, uhm... Also, i noticed they have "Kalderetand Kambing" then the translation was "Goat Beefstew"So is it a Goat Stew or a Beef Stew?Confusing even for a Filipino

First time eating here today. Filipino food is one of my favorite things to eat. I ordered the tocilog play and a side of lumpia. Everything was really good. The tocino was sweet and savory. And the portion size was good. The garlic rice was really flavorful as well and I like their spiced house vinegar. Service was really good and we got our food quickly.Definitely going to come back as there's a lot of items on the menu. I want to try. Also, my friend had several different dishes and one of them was the fried tofu, which was really good. Definitely a good appetizer.

A lot of people love to regard some restaurants as "authentic," but I disagree with a lot of their reviews because what really is authentic when it comes to Filipino food where there are so many regions and food flavors and their authenticity is just as varied. However, these folks serve some of the quintessential Filipino dishes, the mainstream ones you'd expect from a Manila restaurant. Their flavors are spot on and if you're hankering for the classic taste, this place hits the spot. They say that over time, as generations go by, people lose a bit of their culture, whether it's traditions, religion, clothing styles, but what tends to linger through all that is their taste for food. I think that any Filipino would appreciate how this place remains true to the originality of its Filipino-ness.And if you haven't ever had Filipino food and are willing to jump in for a try, this is a good place for your starter restaurant. A word of warning, it's a place you'd be wanting to go back to over and over again!

Ordered the peri-peri chicken and loved the flavor on the chicken and the rice! Really compliments each other and the veggies round out the full meal. Good portions and even had some leftover for later. Their BBQ Pork skewers were also great for an afternoon snack.Good customer service and seating if you want to eat in. Ordered to go and we didn't have to wait long for our order, and it was still hot when we got home.

Picked up my bf at the airport, and I was so excited to try this place and it's been awhile... they used to have it in Milpitas. I got Sisig silog 7/10, flavor is great but unfortunately I didn't enjoy it because the meat was a little hard and even the rice it was cold, should be freshly cook. We came here at 8:30am and the order was ready few minutes.. He order Lechon silos it was good but the rice was too hard like I said it's not "freshly cook." The lechon was juicy and crunchy, at least he enjoyed his food I was disappointed on my food. The staff are friendly and clean place.

Another Filipino restaurant in the area that's not good. I used to come to the old location and there arascaldo was good. But as of today 11/19/24 in their new location, it was not good. The lack of flavor was not there. The pieces of chicken was bland as well, on top of that it was overpriced just like most Filipino restaurants.$7.50 Arascaldo

I heard about this spot from tiktok and wanted to come try it for the first time. It's pretty cozy and the staff are super friendly. I wanted to try their new best seller, the peri peri chicken w/ java rice. It was a pretty large portion and everything was seasoned so well. The chicken was fall off the bone tender at some spots but other's it was a tad dry but easily fixed by dipping into some of that sauce. The sauce is has that pungency from the garlic and is reminiscent from the garlic white sauce spread you get at mediterranean spots, just a bit more tangy here. The rice was super good, great texture and taste, but I was just expecting it to look more orange from the pictures so I'm actually not sure if what I got was the java rice or just garlic rice. I'll be back to try more things again for sure.

I have mixed reviews about this place. There's been times where the food is good and there's been a few times recently where I question the quality of their food. I mainly get their lumpia and years past it used to be piping hot when I order. They would freshly fry it and I didn't mind the wait. Lately, when I come here, they give it to me right away. I understand they want efficiency, but my lumpia was more like room temperature when I got it. I don't know if it's even fresh or was it from the previous night. I wish there was an option for me to ask for freshly fried ones.

3.5 STARSKadok's has been serving the Bay Area Filipino community since frosted tips, fanny packs, baggy overalls, and sail jackets were fly. Remember those $200 Tommy Hilfiger color block jackets? Ooof.In 1994, they opened in St. Francis Square (Daly City) and also had a locations in SF (The Excelsior), Milpitas, and Union City which are now permanently closed. Recently, they relocated their St. Francis Square location to Mission Plaza (Top of the Hill DC) across from Red Bowl Noodles.Kadok's is open for takeout and dine-in only. Order ahead via Clover isn't live yet.I visited after work for a quick meal around 3 pm. About 15 minutes later, they were packed with a line of customers.M E N UFilipino Cuisine - small menu of apps, porridge, noodle soup, and silogs (Filipino breakfast). Specialties: Siapao (steamed pork bun), Lugaw + Goto (porridge) & Mami (beef noodle soup).Frozen lumpia available in the freezer section. Catering trays available. For their grand opening, I noticed they were offering customers a free drink (canned soda or water) but I wasn't offered one.F O O DFood wasn't hot so I guess some things are cooked ahead of time.* Bangus Sisig + Longanisa Silog ($17.70): https://tinyurl.com/59ujc6z6--Bangus Sisig: A healthier alternative to pork sisig, Kadok's bangus sisig is grilled milkfish that's mixed with mayo, onions, and bell peppers (think pinoy tuna salad). It was fine, could have used more acid to neutralize the fishy aftertaste. And, personally, I like the addition of ground chicharrón for texture and chilis for heat which this regional style didn't have. There was a slice of jalapeno for garnish but it wasn't spicy. --Longanisa (3 pc): Good sweet, garlicky flavor but it was borderline cold. --Fried Egg: Cooked over hard. No runny yolk. =(--Garlic rice: Generous portion of tasty fried rice with flecks of garlic.S E R V I C EWith one person ahead, it took 15 minutes for the silog. Check your order before leaving, I overhead customers saying, they were missing items.A M B I A N C ELowkey. Small dining area with about 10 two-top tables and counter seating.P A R K I N GFairly easy parking in the plaza.Suggestions to Management: (1) Consider adding a self-serve water & condiment station for vinegar, banana ketchup, patis (fish sauce), etc. (2) I know there's a lot of excitement surrounding the re-opening but I hope they rethink posting still shots of customers from their security camera on yelp. Overall, I don't eat Filipino food often these days but what I tried was decent. Probably would have been better if the food was hot. The last time I visited Kadok's old DC location was when I was kid and I don't remember much. When I'm feenin' some greasy artery-cloggin' goodness, I'll have to hit Kadok's up again for their lechon kawali (deep fried pork belly)!
