What a beautiful place within the Ritz Carlton hotel. I would recommend making a recommendation so you avoid a wait time. The service was great and the food was good. The view of the ocean is at every window which was nice. Prices were high, but we expected that. Parking is also a struggle if you don't want to do valet parking ($50). We ordered the steak frites (4 oz is really not much.. but the meat was cooked well. The french fries were very salty though), Wagyu burger which was a good size and my husband said tasted good, and crispy chicken tenders and salmon for the kiddos which actually were really good and not too salty. It was nice that kids under 2 get free food. Overall, good experience! After the meal, we took a walk by the ocean which was beautiful.

We dined at the Conservatory on NYE and had both an amazing meal and a fantastic time. I'm a sucker for Beef Wellington and this one was no slouch. Ample and absolutely scrumptious. Our server was perfectly attentive, boisterous and knowledgeable. His only miss was in not delivering my amontillado, ala Edgar Allen Poe, and when I pointed it out he apologized profusely, immediately brought it out and then comped it. Other diners at our table had the Colorado Lamb Rack, the Beurre Monte Poached Maine Lobster and the Mishima Wagyu Burger along with an assortment of champagne, wine and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. Everyone very much enjoyed their meals and drinks. On night two (Jan 1) at Conservatory, just my wife and I this time, we were seated on the glass overlooking the Ocean Terrace and cliffs, and got to watch the sunset. Beautiful. While I had my tastes set on the off-menu clam chowder followed by the beef cheek, my wife had decided we were going to share the Tsar Nicoulai Caviar with blinis and all the typical caviar accoutrements followed by the 22 oz Char-Grilled Cote de Boeuf. The meal was a real treat, excellent in every way, service was again top notch and delicious dessert was comped for our anniversary. A+++ to the Conservatory.

I had the Mushroom Cavatelli which is described on the menu as :" Port Mushroom Sauce, Seasonal Mushrooms,Aged Parmesan Cheese (G/E/D/V) ".As I love mushrooms I was looking forward to them in this pasta dish. The dish I received had NO, not one mushroom in it. None in the White sauce. Zero mushrooms. It was simply a bowl of the pasta with a thin white sauce (which did not have much flavor) and a bit of cheese on top. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed. Certainly not worth the $40 (before tip), with tip $50 ! for a plate of pasta, no mushrooms. Service was great. One morning I ordered room service in the hotel for breakfast ( which comes from The Conservatory) and that " 2 eggs your way" meal was excellent and delivered at the exact time I requested.

Came here last night for christmas dinner with my aunt uncle cousin and my love. They seated us promptly. Service is so quick and attentive. Their bread is phenomenal. I had the chicken, aunty had cioppino, uncle had salmon, and the other two had the burger. Absolutely phenomenal dishes tasted INSANELY good. We were so full and happy from this meal. Thank you for working on christmas and for providing such excellent service.

We ate both breakfast and dinner at the Conservatory during our holiday staycation at the Ritz Carlton. The views are spectacular, our dinner service was spot on and dinner was yummy.Cioppino, Lamb Chops, Salmon, Waygu Burger and Pumpkin Soup. One of our desserts was an apple concoction that had the most amazing saturated apple flavor sorbet with a citrus cake and whip cream. It was fantastic. Breakfast was fine. Significantly overpriced. A classic American breakfast was $42(2 eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, juice) The Avo Toast was good. $10 for a cappuccino seemed like highway robbery being my Nespresso machine in my room didn't work(663)

Honestly had a pretty good time here. We had a reservation for 8 people and got seated at the largest dining table next to all the wine options. View is hard to see once it's dark. Menu options were simple enough! The cioppino was definitely the star dish of the night and everyone is ordering this. They have a free dessert for the birthday folks. We ordered other desserts it the chocolate cake was good, baked Alaska was alright. Service was good - not too overwhelming in our face, but was there to help. Focaccia was SO good. Unlimited as well...Would I come here again? Maybe, if you are staying at the Ritz. There aren't many options around here, so this was pretty good.

As a vegetarian choosing a dinner meal I opted for the Roasted carrots salad and quinoa pilaf. Looks were deceiving because they didn't seem like much, other than just some carrots with fresh greens and quinoa and mushrooms with grated parmesan on top. However, I was pleasantly surprised that both dishes were more than ordinary; very fresh and delicious. I'm also glad that I made the last minute decision to order the salad as well for some extra greens to accompany my dinner. Sometimes it's challenging as a vegetarian eating out, but these were a great pair for a well rounded meal with whole fresh ingredients. Also to note; the quinoa pilaf description said it had pine nuts and pesto. This dish was very heavy on the mushrooms and I did not taste any pesto nor come across any pine nuts. It was delicious though and I felt better about it not having pesto, as pesto has a very high fat content.

This restaurant is part of the 5 star Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay hotel. We were just going there to grab a small bit and a drink. It was a beautiful summer night. Around the sunset time. It was a beautiful view looking down from our window table. There is an outdoor seating with fire pit by the ocean. The food was actually super good. My favorite thing this time was the Ahi Tuna Tartare. Very fresh and delicious! Service was very attentive. After dinner, on the way out, there was a parking space you can park there and a walking path will lead you to the beach. It's so relaxing and peaceful watching the sunset on the beach. It was a beautiful experience. Will definitely go back soon.

The grounds at the Ritz Carlton are beautuful and there is a very nice coastal trail connected. I usually don't go out New Years as I don't like party crowds. However, this year I came here for New Years Eve dinner by myself. It was not overally crowded and mostly families. My dinner was excellent but very expensive. I ordered everything separate and got caviar for appetizer, two raspberry lemon drops, rack of lamb which was cooked perfectly and very flavorful ( a bit too much fat for my liking but still good) and a gingerbread pine cone desert which was a mousse and eggnog ice cream. Fortunately I walked three hours on the beach prior to eating. My dinner was 360 including tip and $50 to park your car. I loved the live bagpipes they were playing. Definitely a nice way to bring in the new year.

$50 to park to eat at their fancy restaurant. I suppose this fee is to keep the riff raff out? Ridiculous, we turned around.
