This place is amazing! More places needed that aren't alcohol focused as the main event.

This was a pretty fun experience skating especially since there so many different levels of skating experience. The vibes were good though the music could have been a little better. The DJ didn't really interact with the crowd either so I feel like it would have been more fun. Admission + skate rentals were $20 total (cash only) but I had to pay an extra $3 for inline skates. My skate rentals were in pretty decent shape but some of the more common sizes were pretty beat up. The floor itself has a lot of grooves so it was really bumpy in some places. It was also hardwood floor so it really echoed when someone took a fall. Lockers were $3, but everyone was just leaving their shoes and jackets around the benches so it was pretty safe as long as you kept all your important things on you. Overall I had a good time and am looking forward to coming back.

Place is so great! We had an absolute blast - it was clean, convenient, not over crowded, good music, DJ got out and skated - it was a hoot. Highly recommend.

I recommend it off my experience from a class to learn how to roller skate here. I do not yet know how busy it is during evenings, but I plan to come back and update my review accordingly.I believe the class was taught by Carla who was a great instructor. This was on a weekend and was an hour long for $46 (class + skate rental). The instructor taught us the basics for how to get up from falling and how to properly fall without hurting yourself. She taught us how to skate and turn afterwards. The floor is like a gymnasium floor and pretty smooth. The decor is inside an old church (as the business name implies) with various pews and booths lining the outer wall to sit. The dj booth appears to be at the opposite end of the entrance way and I bet it could be pretty fun to skate there at night.

Highly recommend! Super fun activity to do with friends or a date. Note: BRING CASH! Rental skates are $5 & they only take cash (these are not included in the admission ticket cost). The vibes are cute, with LED and disco lights; the church is a pretty intimate space so the skating circle is intimate in size. You'll see a lot of inexperienced people so no worries if you don't know how to skate. There are also some regulars that are REALLY GOOD at skating so it's really entertaining to watch and skate along with them as well. Just be cautious and safe :)

This place is SO much fun! From the moment you walk in it feels like you're taken into a stranger things movie set. From the disco ball to all of the flashing lights and to the dj, the vibes here are great. Skate rentals are $5 and tickets are $15. Tickets do sell out fast so you will want to buy them in advance. You pay for the skate rentals at the location and they only take cash. The floor itself is somewhat smooth to skate on and there's minimal bumps on the floor. It can get kind of crazy when it's busy and people do fall here and there. It's worth a visit!

The owner of Church of 8 Wheels has been disrespectful to countless skaters in the community for decades. For that reason alone, as a skater myself, I do not support his business. Beyond that, the floor at Church of 8 Wheels isn't well maintained and has many grooves and bumps that are, in my opinion, hazardous. Additionally, the music is often the same songs every time and the owner has not made any effort to ever hire skate djs, of which there are quite a few in the bay.

I was super pumped to go roller skating, but was quickly disappointed when I got in. I know it's a former church, but man you couldn't add some railings around the rink? I had something to grab on to when I was unable to stop I would've been much happier. I fell down numerous times and it hurt. The refreshments were pretty weak. I was expecting more than a bag of chips, candy & water. DJ was good and the atmosphere is fun. Kids don't seem to mind falling down, for the most part.

Great time! Prices are fair. Keep in mind, they are CASH ONLY but there's a corner store with an ATM close by.
