Thai Time is a Richmond District Staple.I've been coming here for years and they are consistently amazing quality and amazing service. Post Covid they do quite a bit of take out, this is my preference right now as well, because their shop is quite small with limited seating inside. Nonetheless, they will accommodate for you.Recommendations: Appetizers - Chicken Satay (So flavorful and cooked to perfection all the time with the right amount of char while keeping the chicken juicy) - Tod Mun - Spring Rolls (only if this is your jam or feeling something lighter) Soups- Po Tak (Such an underrated soup and they do it justice here, literally perfect every time and I am awake at night craving this)- Tom Yum (always a safe option)Entrees- Green Roti- Gang Garee - Thai Time Fried Rice - Green Fried Rice - Kao Pad- Pad Thai - Pad Se Ew

Came here for lunch on a saturday. Was not busy at all and we were able to be seated immediately. We ordered 3 dishes: green bean curry fried rice, pad see ew veggie, and panang curry with tofuPanang curry with tofu was sooo good! very thick curry, generous amounts of tofu that were fried but not overly oily and delicious garlic rice to go with it.Green bean curry fried rice was also good, more like a red curry fried rice with beans added - was good but didn't blow my mind.Thought the pad see ew was a little oily but overall it was good just not as good as the other two.Very small space so would recommend not coming here with a big group. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to go again but it was good and I wouldn't mind revisiting.

===TL;DR===- 17. Yum Woon Sen Salad- 33. Hor Mok Talay ===TMI===Surprised I haven't review this place yet but I've been here throughout the years. They've been operating since 1997 so let's keep small businesses running!! I've always been a returning customer for one thing mainly - Hor Mok Talay. Creamy, a tad spicy, red curry sauce covering delicious seafoods! Perfect with a side of rice to clear all the sauces off the plate! First time trying their #17 and it was also very good. A bit tangy, good for opening the appetite. Small restaurant so don't recommend a huge party - though I'm sure they can make something happen if so. I think they fit around 12-16 people inside. PSA: no restroom inside the restaurant.

Pad kee mao; Random little hole in the wall spot and decided to try it out. I always get pad kee mao at Thai restaurants.I normally just order pad kee mao without looking at what's inside and was surprised to see baby corn and bamboo shoots. I personally love bamboo shoots in my ramen but I don't think it mixed too well in this dish. Noodles were fair, not completely soft but not overly oiled. Wasn't spicy at all and I forgot to ask them to make it spicy.Overall, it's a decent pad kee mao. Good price and quantity but just didn't have that spicy and savory quality that I'm use to.

Date: Sunday, May 19th. 2024Meal: Late Lunch / Early Dinner DeliveryFood For: 2 peopleOrdered: via DoorDash DoubleDashTime Ordered: around 2:45pmTime Arrived: around 3:30pmDelivered To: Outer Richmond13. Som Tum ($13)38. Gang Keaw: Chicken ($15)47. Pad Gra Prow: Ground Chicken ($14)74. Pad Thai: Shrimp ($16)*Brown Rice ($3.50)I first tried Thai Time about 15ish years ago. When I was craving Thai earlier this month, I decided to revisit as I didn't remember much about this spot. Delivery was quick as we double dashed, but they are in our neighborhood, so fairly close.Best dish hands down was the Basil Chicken. So flavorful. Plus this spot has huge portions! The curry and the pad thai fed us for multiple meals. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the rest of the dishes as much. The curry was very thin. Almost soup like. The pad thai was mushy and a tad too sweet. I added a bunch of sambal to it. The papaya salad didn't have much flavor.5 STARS for the basil chicken, 3 stars for everything else. I'll average it out to 4.REVIEW #3427

Small space, friendly staff, and delicious delicious food. This is our go to spot anytime we're craving Thai.

Haven't been here in a while but nothing has changed. Same quality food with generous portion amount. Bought three dishes and all were flavorful and filling. I am still nostalgic of the old days where we were able to sit inside the restaurant but to-go and being able to take it to the park will always be a favorite of mine!

I live right by this small, family-owned place and finally stopped in today for a number 98 (yellow curry with tofu and veggies) and garlic rice. Holy moly! I can't believe what I was missing. The food is so fresh and delicious, and the portion sizes are huge. The staff is incredibly sweet. So glad to know this place is so close. Can't wait to come back.

I haven't been to Thai Time in a hot minute, but I'm happy to share that nothing has changed...except maybe that they're only doing take out now. From the quality, portion size and flavors, Thai Time still remains my favorite Thai restaurant. The service is quick, staff is friendly, and the food is always consistent.

This breaks my heart to review such a negative for a restaurant that I frequented so often.I still think Thai Time is probably the best Thai restaurant that I have had in SF. I used to bring all my friends here regularly. Unfortunately, in November, I ordered green salmon curry and got really sick (ended up in the ER with severe food poisoning). The restaurant venue is tiny and it's likely hard for them to maintain food safety (the bathroom is right next to the kitchen).I would say try this restaurant at your own risk! If you don't get food poisoning - it's definitely worth it.
