Absolutely nailed it! If there were a Boba Hall of Fame, TenRen's black milk tea would get inducted immediately! The boba? Pure magic. Perfectly chewy, not soggy, and the right amount to keep things interesting without feeling like you're sipping through a tapioca swamp. I had the black milk tea and, honestly, it was a flavor explosion in my mouth. Bonus points for the DIY sweetener and ice level controls. I could literally tailor it to my perfect boba dream. It's like a spa day for your taste buds. Highly recommend! Ambiance is cozy and love that you can do tea tastings in the back.

This Tenren's Tea location is in Chinatown. Parking is difficult here all the time, as it is mainly street parking in a busy area. There is also garage parking too, if you are planning to spend some time here and walk around, but definitely not convenient if you just want to grab a quick drink to go. Not much service, employee was not that friendly or welcoming when she took my order. I ordered their Milk Green Tea with boba. It had a good and strong tea taste to it, while still had a good creaminess to it. Boba was a bit melty and soft though, which I did not prefer. 3 stars for the overall experience, but bumped it up to 4 stars for the drink.

I ordered a mango green milk tea, no ice, I asked for the lowest sugar possible but the cashier said it'd probably taste bad so I modified it to their second lowest sweetness option. It was still pretty sweet, but the tea flavor is also prominent enough and the drink was quite fruity. I liked it since that indicates to me that they didn't overwhelm it with milk. The cup is paper so you can't see what the drink looks like inside, but that does make it more spill proof, which I appreciate it.Note: at the time of my writing this review, the Yelp title for the shop is spelled as "Tenren's Tea," which made it a bit hard to find the right business page to review. I was searching for Ten Ren, but the two results that come up are two old, closed locations of Ten Ren in SF Chinatown.

Ten Ren is always a classic for boba. I first stumbled across this location when I went to a street festival in Chinatown and decided to come in to get their roasted oolong milk tea with boba. At first sip, I was reminded of what a good milk tea done right tasted like. In addition to tasting good, the drinks come out extremely quickly. There is rarely ever a wait, which is also great. Even though there are only a few drinks on their menu, their drink options cover a great range of teas from milk teas to fruit teas. Inside in the back, they have a table where you can drink tea, which could be separate from ordering boba. Honestly, I don't think many of the boba spots in SF taste that good, but Ten Ren is a great option at a decent price in SF. If you are ever in SF Chinatown, I highly recommend checking out this Ten Ren for quality boba milk tea.

What a lovely find.My boyfriend and I stopped by here to get milk tea and to our surprise, they also sell a ton of tea (bags, leaves) and offer tea-tasting.The owners were so nice and explained the different kinds of teas they offer and their background. We ended up purchasing oolong, pu-erh, lychee black tea, and pearl jasmine. SO excited to try these.MILK TEAS:Roasted oolong mt - This was SO good. It actually tasted and smelled like actual tea and the best part of it? ROASTED oolong. $6 for a high quality milk TEA.Lychee green tea - This one was too sweet, in our opinion. The drink itself wasn't too bad but the honey boba was way too sweet.

This place makes great boba. They were known from way back in the day for real locals. They sell teabags. You can buy teabags from them. They will teabag you and offer samples. The service is great. It feels like a clean tourist spot inside. Teabag.

I always enjoy Ten Ren for their no frills , simple combination of tea, milk and boba. Since they're a tea store at heart, the tea quality is always great - fragrant and enjoyable. I always get the least sweet option, and I find it to be the perfect balance.

It's really good! You can taste the tea flavor in the drink and there's a cute little tea shop inside too.

Wonderful small Ten Ren shop in Chinatown. The host is very kind and greets everyone warmly with offers of free tea samples, "anything you want" that they have is available to try before buying. This was more of a supply run than a journey of tea exploration for me today, but the host helpfully explained the differences in types and grades and I came out with the top-tier King's oolong tea I was seeking. A-plus!
