Taqueria El Buen Sabor

TEBS might not be as famous as some other mission Taquerias -- but its as good if not better, and definitely as authentic. The service is top notch - super friendly and helpful. So if you're in the area - do not skip.

I stopped by here while I was visiting the Mission and ordered a super tofu burrito with black beans and mild level salsa.It was quite loud in the shop, so it was hard for me to hear and had to ask the workers to repeat themselves a few times while trying to shout back as they prepared my order.As vegetarian burritos go, I wish this one had more seasoning, as I felt it was rather weak in flavor - tofu, beans, rice, and the typical vegetables are all fairly bland to begin with. The quantity of food for the price was decent, though.

I used to love El Buen Sabor Taqueria and came here all the time when I worked in the Mission. The food was always solid, and it was one of my go-to spots for a good meal.Unfortunately, my most recent visit on Monday was disappointing. While ordering, I saw an employee clean off the refried bean spoon with her bare fingers and wipe it on her apron. It immediately raised some concerns about cleanliness, but I hoped it was just a one-time slip-up. Later that night, I ended up with food poisoning, which makes me seriously question the food safety practices in place now.I really wanted to keep this spot in my rotation, but after this experience, I don't think I can come back. I hope they improve their cleanliness standards because it used to be a great place.

Quite similar to El Farolito in my opinion, the burrito is a little bit smaller, and a few dollars more expensive, but flavor is quite on par. But there is some seating available inside and the orders all come with chips.I was so impressed by the tacos, very well stacked. Recommend the al pastor super burrito.

Quick and friendly service, casual colorful ambiance, got chicken taco and carnitas super taco. Both very very big portions of meat! Double the size of other standard tacos! Friend got the super chile relleno burrito and it was a great flavor and texture all in one bite. Would recc getting a burrito!

This is a solid burrito joint and the other entree plates looked amazing as well. I got a carne asada super burrito. The size of the burrito was exactly as expected of a Mission burrito, though the side of tortilla chips was a less generous than other places. All ingredients seemed fresh. The seasoning of the asada wasn't as robust as I like but it was totally fine. I also had a tamarind agua fresca, which was refreshing and delicious.The line moved quickly and while there was a bottleneck with the people in front of me not having enough money, employees did everything they could to have orders organized so people could pay quickly once that was sorted. This restaurant accepts credit cards. The dining area used space well and there was room for everybody. I felt comfortable and I took my time eating. Overall I had a great meal and I would consider returning. Being open on Monday is a plus!

Ordered the Crispy Taco, Special Taco, and Suiza Quesadilla. The Crispy Taco is great for crispy taco shell lovers. The Special Taco with carne asada was a decent size and portion, a generous layer of greens and cheese on top. The Suiza Quesadilla with carnitas is more than enough for one person, it's a sizeable amount and loaded with delicious cheese and other toppings. This location is really busy during the dinner rush and you will often see the lines running out the door. There are some tables and chairs indoors but not enough to accommodate everyone in line. Fortunately, there's a mix of "here" and "to-go" orders so the number of available seats remains enough.

Stopped by here after a day of thrifting in the Mission. Portion sizes were generous and flavors are hearty. Guacamole was super fresh as well. There is a walk up counter where you order, and the staff was super quick and helpful to answer questions. The space inside offered ample seating, and a lively place to do verse with friends.

No point getting into the nitty gritty. The burrito was simple, comforting, and caloric just as it should be. I do have to take points off though for the churro, more like churr-no. It was very dry and lacked the love my burrito had in spades. Otherwise, it was very enjoyable!
