Tancca

One of my favorite boba places because it's cheaper than some of the other places in the area and the portions are bigger too!Service is good. Decor is minimal but cute. There's free wifi and quite a few tables if you want to sit, chat, chill, read, or work. Drinks are good and fresh, I like the consistency of the bubbles too.

Tancca feels like a hidden gem to me. There's plenty of seating, and they have an easily accessible bathroom... in Chinatown which is a big win so I've upgraded it from a 4 to a 5 star. I really wish they would add better ventilation or a big fan to their bathroom though. I've only ever gotten their passion fruit blended smoothie with boba. It's delightful and refreshing. Sorry I don't drink much tea due to the caffeine so I can't speak to the quality of their milk tea. They have a bunch of those big stainless steel tea things so it seems like they take tea pretty seriously.

My husband and I recently tried Omomo in Irvine and their smoothie boba drink was so good! My husband was never a huge fan of boba but after trying Omomo, he researched to see if we had something similar in the Bay Area. To our surprise, Omomo oriented from Tancca in SF. Of course, we decided we had to try this place. When we got there, I went in to order the drinks. The closest thing to the smoothie we got at Omomo was the snowy drinks at Tancca. There were two workers and one customer inside. Nothing special about the decor and it was very quiet. Somehow, the worker still managed to mess up my order despite not being busy. I ordered one snowy mango with honey boba and one snowy strawberry with the agar boba. Since our toddler was in the car waiting with my husband, I did not even bother to say anything to the worker and just settled with both mangoes. The drinks were disgusting! It tasted like super sweet artificial mango syrup blended with ice cubes. Worst smoothie I ever had! Boba balls were hard too. Definitely not a fan of this place! It was a super hot day too but I still could not get myself to drink it. Ended up tossing it! Waste of money and time!

It's a boba cocktail bar!This was my second time coming here and we've decided to drink it inside. It's very cozy and clean with nice vibes! Love the music not too loud, person who makes drinks were friendly too. I'll come back soon!

I came by after getting dimsum not too far away on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't busy at all, and I was surprised by how much room was inside. Plenty of seating, with plants and art everywhere, and free wifi too - it seems like a great spot to grab boba and study!-Assam Milk Tea w/boba ($4.45, regular sweet, less ice): a classic black milk tea that's strong, creamy and not watered down. The boba was nice and chewy too and lightly sweetened. For the price, this is great solid boba and I'd love to come again when I'm in the area, maybe to take advantage of the great seating as a study space or just as a hangout area! Definitely come check it out if you live nearby or happen to be closeby :)

Best Puff Cream Milk Tea in SF!!! Came there right before they closed and forgot to add boba to my drink, but the barista was happy to remake my drink without showing any attitude. Will def be back!!

Trusty place for yummy drinks!I'm loyal to my rotation of orders: jasmine milk tea with puff cream, osmanthus oolong tea with puff cream, white peach tea with puff cream.Did you notice the puff cream throughline? There's a reason for that - it's THICK, sweet and slightly salty, and a mystery because I still don't actually know what it is (maybe a bit caramelly?). It sets off the bitterness of the tea well (make sure you get less sugar) and swirls together by the end into something lovely.

Are you a puff cream kinda person? Tancca has hands down THE best puff cream in the bay! The creamy, thick puff cream Tancca puts in their drinks (when ordered) will FIX your desires. I love either their Avocado snowy or classic milk tea with puff cream. I've never had a puff cream the way Tancca does theirs. Super generous servings too that every sip WILL have puff cream.Workers are always so informal and patient! They know what to recommend. The inside has tons of greenery - plants and good vibes everywhere. Parking is in chinatown so good luck. I'd recommend walking if in the area or look for local transportation. If not, totally worth the drive and parking struggle to me!

Food - friend and I ordered the taro milk tea. comes with real taro chunks and it tasted soo fresh! highly recommend. not too sweet and super affordable! $5.15!Service - super quick; took our order and the drinks came within a few minutes.Ambiance - cute little boba shop. looks super modern and clean.
