Tacos King Maya

Having grown up in LA and SD, and after living in San Francisco for over 12 years, I had almost given up on finding truly stellar street tacos in the city. But Tacos King Maya definitely delivers some of the best street tacos I've had. The must-try tacos are the cabeza, birria, and tripe. For al pastor, I'd suggest trying some newer spots with a proper spit. Anita and her husband are incredibly kind and take great pride in serving their customers. They're always so delighted when we praise their tacos and the heat of their peppers!The ambiance is low-key, but that's part of the charm and experience that comes with street tacos!

Fast and delicious. I love tacos and they did not disappoint this hungry eater. I'd suggest a platter to try more than the usual beef and chicken. Be sure to add a salsa or or the envelope may be a little dry on the chew.

Everything they have is amazing and made fresh. We love the hamburgers & poc chuc so authentic and always flavorful. We even had them cater our son's birthday party. They were a hit! 100/10 recommend

Hands down some of the best mexican food in SF. Everything from the birria tacos to their quesadillas are absolutely amazing. I was on my way to el Farolito and I had to stop here instead after smelling how good their food is. Anita was so kind and they even take venmo! Give them a try!

Looking for quick bite?! I recommend you coming to this taco stand!! They have a unique menu that you cannot find anywhere else and worth the price. Their yuca burgers are 10/10 and definitely recommend if your looking for something different and new!!

Man, Tacos King Maya is so good. I get their steak fries almost every week. It's to the point where I'm kinda worried about my cholesterol levels. It's so hard to resist fries that are topped with perfectly seasoned and CRISP carne asada, paired with crunchy onions, smothered in all that crema, salsa verde y salsa rojo. Their salsa rojo is amazingly flavourful. The fries usually come with radishes and cilantro too but I'm one of those people with the soap gene so I usually order without. Shout out to Anita for remembering my order!Of course with a name like TACOS KING, you can't sleep on their tacos either. Obviously I'm biased towards their carne asada tacos, but sometimes I switch it up with the chorizo tacos. I like to eat it over the steak fries so that when some chorizo inevitably falls out, I get a really gluttonous bite of chorizo + carne asada + fries. I have my eyes set on trying the torta next!Writing this review is making me hungry. My point to this very long review is: If you see that they're open, get some tacos. You won't regret it. Support your local vendors they are in between 21 and 22 Mission. Starting On Thursday night to Sunday. Great food quality I did not get the gentelman name but he was very kind and so was his partner. Don't sleep on it!!
