Where is the expiration date?
Though the cost of the noodle is small but the principle of selling expired food is just wrong and unethical.
More noodles & tofu

Fresh ramen, rice noodles and lo mein
Mmm, this corn looked tasty. It was frozen.
No expiration date on the bottom of the package as well.

This place has terrible customer service and customer satisfaction with their products. BUYER BEWARE on buying their dry goods like noodles. I bought the noodles on 10/03/2020 and tried it on 10/07 but the stale stench that came out of the bag after I open the package was overpoweringly potent. When I brought the noodles along with the sales receipt back to the two large woman at the cash register, they insisted it was fine and claim it was a fresh new shipment. After asking for a refund or exchange of other product they got confrontational and combative. They insisted that I go look at the packages expiration date but it was no where to be found. Honestly this is most likely the last time I shop here.

Linoleum that'd seen its best days in the 1950s, now cracked and literally shop-worn but clean, T&L market is a larger version of a corner convenience store except it's mainly for produce & Asian cooking staples.(all the sauces your little heart desires plus fresh noodles, yes!) T&L Market is a centrally-located shop in the heart of Clement Street where you can pick up better-than-basics to fill in your shopping. For us that meant a huge head of snowy cauliflower for $1.19, a thick bunch of super fresh scallions for $0.39 as well as 7 clementines, 2 naval oranges, a package of firm tofu and 5 bananas, all for the kingly price of $6.81 (including $0.10 plastic bag fee).Holy moly, recession-era prices. Situated among many good restaurants so you can do an impromptu quick shopping on your way out of Clement Street, T&L fits the bill when you need just a few things and you can't bear to wade into the madness of Richmond New Wei Mah on Saturday market day.Solid B+!

Place differently can be more organize and clean. Got what I come for so that was NICE. I didn't have to wait in a long line like all the Asain supermarket.

OK, so why do I try to shop at this tiny Mom & Pop grocery store versus the larger L. H. Supermarket across the street?a. The produce is fresher and fewer people handle it?b. The nice lady at the counter says "Thank You" and doesn't throw your change at you?c. People don't try to cut in front of you and, if they do, the man or woman at the counter will still help you first?d. They keep their quaint store well stocked with a nice variety of supplies for vegetarian and non-vegetarian Asian cooking?Answer: ALL OF THE ABOVE!!!Rock On T & L Market!!!!

The service of this supermarket is really good. I often go there to buy foods. The foods is not only fresh, but also cheaper than other store. Customers can always get the best food for the least amount of money, and I really like it. Moreover, the young lady at the counter is really beautiful, and she provides super good service to me and speaks to me polite. I remembered that one time I had bought a package of rice, because the rice was heavy to hard to pick up, the young lady helped me carry the rice to the car. She was really nice. I strongly recommend everyone to shop in this supermarket.

I feel bad that the big asian grocery stores all have a bunch of reviews and poor T & L market hasn't been thought of in nearly 2 years! So here it goes. This is one of the smaller grocery stores on Clement street, but they still have a good selection. I've noticed they have a ton of leafy greens, and nearly everything is 10-20 cents cheaper than New May Wah or Lien Hing. So I will usually walk by this place and grab any produce that catches my eye before proceeding to the larger stores, since it's almost guaranteed I'll get a better deal. And their eggs are the cheapest on the block, only $2.59 for a flat of brown eggs. I can pay more for a dozen white eggs at Safeway. But this is the best part. The woman at the register makes eye contact, says hello, thank you and goodbye. Seriously, who would have thought that I'd be so excited about common courtesy! And she will happily answer any questions you have too. And while the asiles are tiny and its a very tight squeeze with my stroller, it's never a problem because there are rarely more than 2 or 3 people shopping there at once.

T & L Market is a smaller market on clement that isn't cluttered with merchandise in the aisles and people cramming around the register.surprised to see such a chinese market anywheres. since it wasn't crowded, i was able to puruse the goods without being blindsided by old grannies or workers pushing their goods around.stocked up on my usual supply of bananaes (.59/lb) to ward off the leg cramps in the evening that comes when i fail to ingest enough potassium.

Kinda surprised & taken back that is suspecting I may be receiving some kind of compensation for my review. No I'm don't receive any compensation for my review here. Just an advocate that supports small businesses in my loving neighborhood. I wanted to add an update stating the Market will be renamed M & Y Market is pending. I've written reviews of other businesses in this neighborhood.

When Lien Hing has a long line I head over to T&L Market to buy items on my grocery list. Although they don't have a very wide selection of produce and grocery items they do have the basics. I should come here more and support the mom and pops. Another reviewer made a comment that they're nice here and they don't throw change at you like at L.H. Supermarket. I agree!

I'd give a zero if I could. I've always disliked this place ever since we moved to the Richmond in the early 90's. I have no idea why this mom-and-pop grocery has stayed in business this long. I'd rather go to the larger grocery stores on Clement and pay slightly more. Mom likes to go there because they do have a good selection of leafy greens that are normally cheaper than the others on Clement. However I don't like the Vietnamese lady owner at the register because she looks pissed all the time and never smiles or greets the customers. Today I went grocery shopping with mom and stopped by here. We picked up 3 items (two kinds of leafy greens and one pack of fried tofu), paid and walked out. Immediately we found that we were overcharged for an extra pack of fried tofu. We walked back in the store and told the woman what happened. She didn't believe us and insisted that she check our bags. She took out all the stuff and put them back on the scale to re-weigh. OMG!!! She didn't apologize or anything, instead she told mom that she couldn't return the charge back to the card and asked mom to go pick one more pack of tofu. Mom said she didn't want another pack of tofu so she picked some asparagus. "No no no! That is more expensive than the tofu!" Owner screamed. Mom explained that she'd pay for the difference. As mom went on explaining how the math would work out, the owner rudely stopped her and yelled "Ok!" 4 TIMES!!! I think she got really impatient because there was ONE other customer waiting in line. I felt like saying to her: hey it is still CNY, you can at least try to smile a little for god's sake. I don't expect any good customer service from any of the grocery stores on Clement but this is certainly one of the worst. I'll never ever step in this store again.
