I just left a review for Corner Table and now for the other half of our meals! Who knew you could make everyone happy by coming to Corner Table/Sushi Plus? They share a patio and it was so nice to have the option to order from either - we took advantage of this convenience and everyone got exactly what we wanted.My hubby and I used to go on Sushi dates and this place had everything we ordered and more - it was incredible! Takoyaki - 10/10 - delicious flavor, the sauce was incredible - really well doneAgadashi - 10/10 - by far my favorite appetizer, they were so well done, flavorful broth, they were cooked to perfectionGyoza - 8/10 - while tasty, a few could have been crisped up a bit moreSashimi and sushi plate - 10/10 - the fish was incredibly fresh, well cut, melted in your mouth - the tuna was amazing and we had one piece of fatty tuna which was awesome!Teriyaki chicken = 10/10 - really nice portion, very flavorful, not too sweetOverall you cannot go wrong, the staff is so incredibly kind, patient, helpful - they made our brunch truly wonderful and we are anxiously looking for our next trip back!

The food is just okay. I may be a bit spoiled from living in South Bay. I recently moved to Redwood City and wanted to satisfy my Japanese food cravings. I ordered a bento box, which is my normal, economical choice. The miso soup a bit too sweet (surprising). The teriyaki chicken also was a tad burnt on the ends.Overall, I'm excited for asian food in Redwood City. However, Sushi Plus may not be the go-to japanese restaurant, at least in the Bay Area. I would instead recommend Kakaroto in Mountain View, although that is further away.

Decent place for bentos. The prices are quite high but they do give you a lot of food on the bentos. The items are alright but I would only come here if I just happened to be in the area.Their nabeyaki is not the best. The toppings are not traditional and no runny egg. The soup was seasoned well but it lacked the namesake stone pot. Would go elsewhere for nabeyaki udon and bentos.

I really like the food here, but!!!! make sure that you order in advance. Most orders take 30 minutes plus. I ordered some food and drove from work to pick it up. When they put in your order on the tablet, there is a prompt to pay 18% tip, you can adjust that if you're in a pinch, still tip, but you don't have to be forced to pay that percentage.I've never dined inside, so I can't speak to that. We've only ordered take out. I really love the avocado sushi. As a vegetarian, this is my favorite. My husband eats fish and has enjoyed his items. We plan to go back, but due to prices this is a once a month treat.

Came here after a hike nearby on a Saturday at about 1:30 and was happy to find a sushi place with such high ratings so decided to give it a go. There was seating outside but it was a bit warm so we decided to sit inside. They had music playing in the background and it was honestly a bit loud and distracting. Service was prompt and they took our order without trying to rush us. We ended up ordering a nabeyaki udon, 49er roll, BoB roll, and a Mountain View roll along with some tea and a drink. Our first impressions were that everything was priced a bit higher than we expected, but hey, as long as the food delivered, that shouldn't be an issue. I think the first tip off that this wasn't going to be the case was the ginger and wasabi that was brought to us in a little togo plastic container. I honestly didn't know what to say to this, I was just blown away at how unexpected that was. Food didn't take too long to get out (maybe 15 minutes). They did bring out two bowls for us to share the udon, so that was nice. Don't mean to be disrespectful or anything but the noodles tasted like instant noodles. The broth was very flat and tasted like it came from a powder. On to the sushi, 49er roll had a nice touch where they added some additional salmon inside of the roll as well as on top. Haven't seen this before and was excited thinking that their sushi was much better quality and was a bit disappointed. While the fish quality wasn't bad, it wasn't particularly good either and had a fishy smell/taste to them. This was much more apparent in the 49er roll since it wasn't doused in sauce. By now, we didn't expect much out of either of the two rolls and they were just about the same quality. I'm hoping they had a really off day or their main chef was off or something. I'm not sure I'd go back. The prices were just too high for us considering the quality of the food.

good sushi. it seems like they do a lot of takeout here it was lunchtime and not many customers were inside eating. We tried a roll with mango in it and it wasn't the best I would stick with the more classic rolls. Also Service was a little slow.

Darn, guess I was a bit off. Still a popular place. But Korean owned. Heard the owner speak Japanese before. Came here for a quick dinner and was disappointed in the taste. Nabeyaki was salty and chicken wasnt great. Had two roles and both of the salmon and mango on top was cut like a novice who didnt know how to cut. Not sure if they were training people? Wasnt the usual waitresses either... it was an ajima (older aunt, maybe the female owner) and a hispanic lady. Got the teriyaki kids meal.. was ok. Less sauce would be preferable but chicken was drenched. Yikes... perhaps this was a one off...

Service was atrocious. I placed an order at 4:30 for a 6:00 p.m. pickup. Arrived and they said oh not ready yet. Waited and watched people be seated at tables and get their food. While my to-go order which was placed 90 minutes earlier still wasn't ready for pickup. Unbelievable! For some reason there were six other people with phone/ online orders waiting for their food as well. Unbelievable. While tables were being served, people and waited for over an hour. No excuse. Worst service. Worst management. Beyond disappointed. Oh and then when I got home and looked at the order one item I had ordered was $17 and I was charged for it and they had replaced it with a $5 item. Really so bad. Very disappointing. No excuse for any of this.
