I was in the area and stopped by Sunrise Irving Market because I saw they were selling Korean & Hawaiian sweet potatoes. I picked up a small bag of the purple potatoes and the sign said $2 something a pound. I looked around for a scale to weight my bag so that I knew what I was going to be rung up with. No scales were in sight so I went to pay for my potatoes. The Chinese lady working behind the register rung me up at $14 something. I paused and looked at the register, then her scale. How could a small bag of potatoes cost almost $15? I asked the weight of my bag and she pretended to push some buttons on her scale to show me $7 something (but no weight in sight) and then changed the price to $7 something. What a joke. Don't come here unless you want to be scammed. There are plenty of other grocery stores in the area.

The store looks clean inside. They have good products such as dumpling wrappers and egg roll wraps. I won't purchase meat here though.

Nice little market for a quick run for food to prepare. Mochi treats are good. Produce seems fresh. Somewhat limited selection (not a lot of spices and seasonings) but if you can cook you should be able to find something.

Only grocery where I can find tender pea sprouts! This elusive leaf veggie is very popular because of its tender green leaves and easy to stir fry nature. It makes eating veggies a delight. They have it all the way in the back.

very disappointing experience! we've shopped here for several years now and have been a loyal customers. however this past time, they charged for an item ($8) we didn't even purchase. she tried to go back the same day after realizing what was on the receipt but they were closed by 6 PM. she went again the next day and the workers refused to give back the $8 even after bringing back all the items. like the other comments say, make sure you double check your receipt before you leave the store.

Items are placed under prices that doesn't belong to the item. Not just one but all the same type of stuff is placed under one price. But when you go to pay, they say that's the wrong price and should be something else. You tell them that's what it saids, then they tell you people move it to the wrong place. I understand if people move some of the items but all? Instead of arguing, why don't they just arrange it in the right place. Making customers uncomfortable about how you much items are charged at the counter isn't making us want to come back. Especially when the guys working there saids one price and the ladies say the higher price. Ladies need to learn better customer service and be honest.

Sunrise Irving Market has been serving the community throughout shelter in place. They carry a wide variety of fresh fruit and veggies, including Chinese greens galore; frozen food including cuts of pork, chicken and beef; fresh noodles and tofu; and dairy products. The cashier wears a mask and gloves and they've recently installed a plexi-glass barrier on the checkout counter for the protection of both customers and vendor. If you're looking to avoid long lines and people at the giant supermarket chains, support this small business where prices and quality will make you smile!
