Ive been shopping at Sun Valley Markets for 10 years now. This being the first one to open in the pacifica area before the 2 other ones. The steps I've seen this what i think is a franchise now take have been great. Ive been friends with store owner Mark since the place opened, super hard working family man that just looks to create relationships with people in the community. The fact that he's opened up 2 other locations just speaks to how good of job he's been doing. When you talk about a liquor store its a little odd to talk about customer service and relationships but thats one of the main things that really stands out about the San Valley franchise. Never once had any issues, if anything this store has made things a little easier for me since they've expanded and added more produce and dairy products.Keep up the good job Mark!

Im a local Pacifican who supports small business. I have done business with Sun Valley Market for a few years now. However, I think I'll take my business elsewhere. I would have to agree with the another reviewer whos discription of "Pops" is right on target. Grumpy and Arrogant. What a nice combo! And he's very consistent on my visits. I have attempted on previous encounters to open some dialogue and tried being friendly. I am always the first to say "Hello".Unfortunately, Pops has the right to do as he pleases with the business but friendliness and smiles goes a long way. Don't want to give business to people who feel they are doing YOU A FAVOR!

A lot of people have this place confused with the market at Park Mall off Oddstad Blvd. This mini market is now ''Sun Valley Dairy.'' This location changed its name when it was bought out years ago yet its now know as the ''Dairy'' to the locals as well. Located in Adobe Plaza on Linda Mar Blvd. There are several other businesses located at the Plaza. The Dairy is the kind of place where you can buy frozen food, Beer, wine, liquor, candy,Beverages, snacks with odd ball items of canned foods packaged goods as well. The Dairy was opened in 1971 it has been through just three owners. A memory lane place that will always be special to me.Prices are slightly higher then Safeway or Lucky's yet this is a mini-market not a grocery store.Employees are good people I've know for many years.

Its one thing to have a high sticker price on bread. $3.75 was on the loaf. When I got to check out it was $4.75. I'll never go back to this place.

Excellent place to get something quick when you do not want to go to a larger grocery store. It is like a 7-11 but with a warmer family atmosphere.

Sun Valley Market is a small independently owned mid-sized market in an open air mall. It is in the back of a valley in Pacifica, and only the locals frequent it. It is a great alternative to going to Safeway (just 2 miles away) because one can speak with a butcher, buy Raymond's sourdough bread (the best sourdough period), get a hot bbq cooked meat on Sundays, and know that all of this supports a local merchant. Yes their prices are higher than a chain's, but not by much. And the service, though not outstanding, is genuine.

This is a hidden local gem in Pacifica. We were here for a basketball tournament and thanks to Yelp ratings we found this place! People are so friendly and helpful. Sandwiches from Boars head deli in the back have fresh bbq'ed tri tip, chicken, brisket! All incredible and the other sandwiches were fat with meat and def made with care. Icing on the cake was all the European speciality items they carried- Kinder chocolate and my kids (and me) were so happy!! Grab some lunch and beers and head to the beach from here!! Def will come back!
