From liquor to bread and ice cream
On the corner for many years, super clean/fair prices
Fridge stocked with staples including eggs, milk
Small assortment of produce

Mainstay corner market on Geary at 2nd street nestled among varied restaurants so you can pick up something you need after dinner.Inside, the store is very clean with a large assortment of liquors, wine and beer that pays their rent, basic grocery items and a fridge that stores a small cache of staples like milk, eggs, butter, bacon, cheese and juice. They didn't obscenely mark up the wines so I found a well-priced Sauvignon Blanc to pair with my fusilli pasta pesto.

The two guys that own this place are awesome! So friendly and accommodating, and will stock stuff that you love. Not just alcohol, but grocery stuff and sundries. Go check them out.

No cold beer. This place has there refrigerators running and the beer and all the product is hot. I had to go home and set the beer in the freezer. The prices are way too high. Don't waist your money and time at this place.

Don't let their quiet demeanor fool you into believing these are nice people. Their food is expired. Fridges could be colder. Tried to help them identify which food is expired, on many occasions, only to be told, buy or get out. Patrons may get lucky once or twice but I wish you luck getting consistent (positive) service.

"What are you looking for! Hey! What are you looking for! No we don't have it." This was from behind the register across an aisle directly to me, with 4 or 5 other customers present.I got the impression that it didn't matter what I said I was looking for. I could've been looking for the eyeglasses sitting right on the person's nose and I would've still been turned down.To be fair, it was nighttime, I was in sweatpants and a puffy jacket (not having had time to change from the gym), and I had a 5 o'clock shadow. Also, the TV behind the counter was playing a crime segment, something about me being on a Most Wanted list. JOKING. For all I know, that could've just been the person's manner of speaking - maybe they genuinely wanted to give me what I sought had they had it.Either way, I won't be back. So when they start shouting at you, try telling them that you're looking for me.

Don't give these people your money. Super un-friendly and actually a bit hostile towards certain customers. Maybe the years have hardened them but this isn't exactly a rough neighborhood so there isn't too much reason why they treat people the way they do.

This small, cozy corner joint went through some rough times, changing hands twice in the past few years, but is now seemingly stable, with a decent selection of groceries, beverages, beer, and avery large selection of wine--with a few really good selections. A bit pricey, but not too bad--and a few decently priced bottles if one searches a bit. There's 3 main people who run this place, and each have very distinct personalities: One is a very nice, friendly, cute lady who is relentlessly cheerful. She always says "Hi!" in her bright, cheery voice and is very chatty. She has her "Have a nice day!" down pretty well, but otherwise has a very thick korean/asian accent. She makes every visit a fun experience. There's another lady there who is nice enough, and goes about her biz in an efficient manner, which is good. Then there's an older guy who is mostly indifferent, and who has attempted to overcharge me on occasion (which gets a star deducted) for reasons unknown. I know what stuff costs there, since I go there on average of 4 times a week. I'm not sure why he is so glum, and why he tries to jack me up, since I'm a regular neighborhood guy who spends a lot of cash in there as it is. Still, all in all, the place is conveniently within stumbling distance, and the hours it's open are pretty good. The cheerful lady keeps it from being a 3 star mediocre corner joint by the force of her personality alone...

I'm pretty surprised with the negative reviews Star Dust has - but looking over it all again, seems like the dissatisfaction was that of the past. I've been living across the street from Star Dust Market over the past two years & I've had nothing but good experiences here. They have a surprisingly decent selection of cooking necessities & ingredients. It's perfect for times when my boyfriend & I forget to buy something at Safeway - all we have to do is run across the street. The prices are reasonable for a liquor store - of course not cheap, but not killer expensive either. The service is always great. The store is owned by a Korean family & they're adorable (their tiny little pup is too - even though he does have a slight barking problem). They're friendly & always welcoming - maybe it's a little different than other customers because my boyfriend & I see them all the time. Overall, I have no complaints. Love supporting a local business!

Stardust Market is okay in my book! It's definitely gone through a huge face-lift, because before it, it was a corner store I wouldn't think twice entering. Now, it's clean and bright and the man who works at the counter in the mornings is awesome. I go maybe once a week to get my yogurt and Odwalla fix in the AM. There are tons of snacks and even popular, non-generic cereals like Honey Bunches of Oats and Cherrios. I buy goldfish, Vitamin Waters (the have a plethora of the most popular flavors), Clif Bars and an occasional box of tea. They surprisingly have a good selection of Twinings Tea, but I stick to my green or jasmine green tea.Today the man at the counter jumped up from his seat and greeted me with a even bigger smile than usual. He must be noticing that I come by pretty regularly. His kindness (and the breakfast items I purchase) definitely get my day started off right.
