It's that season and change is in the air in San Francisco. This season starts in the Summer and continues through the Winter. For those who know it's the San Francisco 49ers season. I found gold in the streets of San Francisco . May I say 49ers gold. This corner liquor store on 24th street is the namesake of late native born San Franciscan late great Forty Niner Bob St. Clair who played with the 49ers for 11 seasons. The outside of the place looks like a typical 24th street corner liquor store. Go inside and it's not the same. Inside you see rows of bottles of wine and bottles stacked to the ceiling. The prices here are Purdy(pretty) good. The 49ers colors are red ,white and gold ( all my favorite colors in the wine world) and St. Clair has it whether you are a red and white wine fan or champagne gold there is a variety available. Personally I like my wines semi -sweet, juicy ,spicy, and savory red. Make sure you don't forget the bottle opener for the 49ers season opener. So during the game pass the champagne and the bottle of wine, Like 49ers Quarterback Brock Purdy passes it across the Touchdown line

This place is always a life saver in a pinch, they have a great selection of liquors and wine, a better selection than even large grocery stores. They have a nice range of choices for Bourbon and Tequila. I usually come here before a party to get a few favorite top shelf liquors and some wine recommendations. The staff is friendly and helpful, the prices are reasonable, and they have convenient hours.

I was lucky enough to find St.Clair's when I lived in the 'hood. I still come back every time I want to buy a nice bottle of Bulleit Bourbon or Rye, Flor de Cana, Remy, Absolute, Fernet or Johnny Black. They have pretty decent prices or gift sets and always seem to have something I like whether I'm in a tall boy mood or fancy sipping on some Cognac. They have quite the selection of wine, champagne and persecco. I love the big bottles of Belgian beers, I call them fancy 40's and I love them lots. I'm always checking out the new selections and seasonal beers. These folks know their spirits and are very nice to me every time I'm in. For all that, I'll be a fan forever.

Can't believe I'm reviewing my local liquor store, but I wanted to take a quick minute to let people know how much I appreciate this place. 1) Location is obviously super convenient; not only right by my house, but also in the heart of Noe right by Whole Foods 2) One doesn't have high expectations going into a corner store liquor store, but I can honestly say I am impressed by their selection! My friends in the wine industry even agree. 3) I haven't ever made a specific request, but I recall one of the 2 men who are always there offering to order it for me, which I politely declined. They are both super sweet and I don't mind paying a little more than I do at a grocery store to support a local business!

Opus One for $149 dollars!!! Don't tempt me please?Great selection of wines from Zinf, Cab, Merlot, Chard, Pino, and other varietals. Competitive high end and some low end quality wines, not better than Coit Towers though.

Always seems open and is the best place to pick your poison. Avoid the Whole Foods nonsense...pick up your packages here. The people who run this little shop are awesome & super friendly.

Fairly nice liquor store with some higher end booze selections. Also a decent selection of non alcoholic beverages. Finding things like Opus One, Belgian beers and Sake was a surprise but I had to hit up the ginger beer as an effort to not light it up too much before dinner

This is a little oenologist's gem. The owner is a real enthusiast, very knowledgeable, and not only helped me to select a very reasonably priced, high quality selection, but even went so far as to offer me a tasting glass of a tokay they'd opened to sample. He goes out of his way to stock a selection of very high value for money wines, saving you the time and effort of hunting them down for yourself. They also stock spirits and specialty cocktail ingredients, like a variety of bitters and syrups used in the best bars, which can be hard to source. The store is rather small, but the variety and quality on every shelf is evident. I recommend them to anyone whose taste in wine usually exceeds their budget. The wines are very well curated. Tell them what you need and what you have to spend, and you'll come away the hero of your next dinner party.
