Snow Bliss

Snow Bliss is located on West Portal Ave SF. I see other Yelpers review highlighting their dessert creations and for good reason. We came for the shaved ice Mango Bingsu. The shaved ice was so fluffy and the mango topping sweet and juicy. Added a few side toppings for fun. They have an assortment of other Asian dessert treats like Boba drinks, smoothies and Sago. While we were there we asked about the hot food items on their menu which we did not know they had. We thought it was just a dessert cafe. We had to come back and try their dinner. Glad we did. We ordered Black Pepper Beef, Salt and Pepper Fish and the Popcorn chicken. Freshly cooked and hot off the stove all 3 items where fantastic. My absolute favorite was the Salt and Pepper Fish. Salty and crunchy with garlic and chili garnish. YUMMY! The Pepper beef was very good as well with a good portion of beef with onions and bell peppers. Unlike some other restaurants where the beef is kind of non existent. Very satisfying dish. Both of these come with a big scoop of rice to make a meal. Maybe order a side dish of veggies next time? Popcorn chicken was meaty and juicy piping hot. My wife thought it needed a dipping sauce to accompany it. Prices were reasonable since the portion size was good and came with rice. Many other selections on the menu to try next time! NOTE... they also serve Dim Sum but we did not try it yet.Restaurant interior is clean and bright with bench seating on one side. We came early (5pm) and were seated right away. By the time we left the place was mostly full so come early if you can. I think we were served by the owner but I did not get his name. He was very diligent and polite for sure.

IMHOBelieve it or not, a banker clued us into Snow Bliss Cafe, since she had just enjoyed a wonton noodle soup lunch here. We took her advice and proceeded to look for the establishment. At the time we didn't know the name of it, just a general idea of its location down the street. Thankfully they had a small sandwich board standing outside their restaurant advertising their specialties, Beef Chow Fun, Sweet & Sour Pork, and Wonton Noodle Soup! Dang, these are all three favorites of mine!We had our choice of tables since it was close to 3 p.m. (They are open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.!) We wanted to order take-out and sat down to peruse the menus. Wilson, our waiter, brought us three cups of water to drink while we decided what we wanted. We ordered Salt & Pepper Fish Fillet, Beef Chow Fun, Chicken Pan-fried Noodles, Won Ton Noodle Soup, and Beef Chow Mein. While we waited for our food, we chatted with one of the owners. She was very proud of her sons who help run the restaurant. Not only do they serve delicious Chinese food, and dim sum, but they also serve Bingsu, which is shaved ice. Maybe the next time we come; we'll give it a try!Our food was very well packed with care. Everything was delicious and flavorful. I think we've found a new favorite spot to dine in the neighborhood!

After a hike in the city, we stopped by Snow Bliss, and the experience exceeded our expectations! We ordered several dishes, and everything was absolutely delicious. Our favorite was the Beef & Green Beans--packed with flavor and perfectly cooked.For dessert, we shared the Thai Tea Bingsu, which was the perfect size for our group of four. It was excellent and a perfect complement to our meal.The service was outstanding as well. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome.We can't wait to visit Snow Bliss again the next time we're in the area. Highly recommend this spot!

New family owned cafe in the city! Mom and son duo. We had a couple of noodle dishes, fried chicken, and some bing su. Good portions and super tasty! The black sesame bing su is the star!

LOVED this place!! The plating was adorable and the food came out pretty quick! The matcha was my favorite, it was very creamy and still had that matcha taste to it. The lychee was also super light and delicious and it came with whole lychee bits as well! I also tried the thai tea bingsu from a friend and that was great too! my order from best to least of the three would be matcha, thai then lychee

The mango bingsu tasted artificial today. And there were definitely not even 25% of mango chunks that's shown in the picture. Really sad because that's one of my favorite parts. New flavor : black sesame - pretty good, tastes even better with condensed milk they put on the side as a topping. The boba was hard. Fries are nicely crisp. Had to ask for my ketchup. Tofu squares are nicely seasoned but they didn't provide a satisfying crisp like the fries did. Popcorn chicken (not pictured) was fried circle balls of chicken. Good but something was off about it. Like they were over microwaved then toasted. We came on a Saturday night - 4 adults, 1 baby who is under 1 year old and 1 newborn in the car seat sleeping until the last 20 minutes, then newborn sat on mom's lap. We were charged for 20% tip. Is it because we were 6 people total? I promise we didn't make a mess, we did for a cup of hot water to heat up a bottle, some extra napkins, we tidied up our adult "mess" and we were NOT the loudest table in the restaurant.

I came here specifically for the bingsu, and this place did not disappoint! There were so many good options on the menu, and I decided to go for the Thai tea bingsu. This came with Thai tea ice cream, boba, and condensed milk. It was really delicious! The snow was so light and fluffy! It was a pretty big portion, but I finished all of it! Service was also great! They were so friendly here :)

Strawberry was sweet and fresh. Pop chicken was good. Services were amazing. Waiter was very fast with the food.

Chocolate was good. Server was nice and cute. Accomadated to want on the tv. Good basketball

I had a great time at Snow Bliss. The food and dessert was amazing. Atmosphere was calm and inviting. The male waiter was quick and kind.
