Went here for a work outing it hosted enough space for a group of 6 to sit comfortably. I recommend If going with a party that size go early because it does fill up quickly. Staff was really sweet and was helpful giving recommendations. The downstairs has a nice pond so it really jazzed up the ambience with the musicI got the Lei Lani Nouveau which is the taller drink. Really delicious and sweet. The drink had guava but did not overpower the drink. My coworker got the Kona Cocktail and she enjoyed her drink as well.

Just buy the book instead. Takes a very long time to get anything here, and what I got wasn't much. Plus, they tried to (honest mistake? Or?) enter an additional $12 tip over my $3.50 tip. On one drink. Let's chalk it up to them being busy and tired. Luckily I saved my receipt, but still the mediocre experience continues long after I left. The decorations are by far the coolest part, but not worth the hassle of actually going here. For my time the OG Trader Vs is the way to go.

Great drinks, fantastic escapist decor. Really top notch all around. Service was great, bartenders were attentive given how packed the place was on a Saturday night.I got there 15 minutes before opening and there was already a line. We managed to get ourselves a seat with a crate/table on the lower level by rushing down there and was lucky I did.We ordered a Dr Barcas Fluffy Banana (unique and worth going back for,) a Smugglers Rum Barrel, (very very good,) a Lei Lani Nouveau, (kind of like a pink drink from Starbucks but with Guava,) and a few others. The Mai Tai was okay, I prefer the one at Trader Vics in Emeryville. We flew in from Southern California just to check it out and we weren't disappointed.

I absolutely love this place! Amazing drinks and the coolest ambiance. Indiana Jones vibes for sure! The bartender was on top of it with his drinks and even told us about which notes were in which drinks. I almost got a drink that I probably wouldn't have liked, but after talking to the bartender and describing the type of drink I wanted, he suggested the perfect drinks! Highly recommend this place!

Honestly thought this place was gonna be pretty cool. I went in thinking it was going to be some weird ass time with a good story to tell buuuuuut not all . When you get to the place on the outside, its literally a black door with a weird ass guy who tells you to wait in a line that doesnt exist. You wait there for him to tell you ok to go in and scan a qr on the door. Once you're in there, theres a bar and a staircase to the bar downstairs. I guess theres no real difference. Weirdest thing was that when you order your drink downstairs, they tell you to wait and they will call your name. Bitch, I aint at a fuckin deli! We waited almost 10 minutes for our drinks. That's long as fuck after you order that shit. Just a weird way to do things. Drinks were good but def left after 1 cause shit would take FOREVER for another. Order 6 at once if you plan on staying.Cool place for decor and one drink but not for long term.

I finally stopped by after years of walking past the lines of people waiting to get in, and I get the hype if you're into tiki bars. It's decorated well, leaning into the pirate theme without being overly corny, and the drinks are pretty decent. It is an overwhelmingly menu, but there are a lot of similar flavor profiles, so it's hard to go wrong, and it's nice that they mark which drinks are strong LOL. The drinks are on the sweeter side, so I didn't really taste the rum which was good for me. There's also a small section of drinks made with other liquor, for those of us who don't typically drink rum. The bartenders are friendly and efficient, even when the orders pile up, and some of the drinks are definitely instagrammable. The space is pretty small, so if you want a seat (especially if you have a bigger group) you'll want to keep an eye out for people leaving to quickly swoop. I didn't get to check out upstairs because it was crowded when I came on a Friday night, and my friends and I didn't want to lose our seats downstairs lol, but hopefully next time. It's pretty loud so it's better for a friends hang out than a date, unless you come earlier in the evening. I personally prefer a more diverse drinks menu bc I like other liquor better, but still a cool spot to check out!

Oh Smuggler's Cove, how I love you so. This place needs no introduction -- it's the well-known tiki bar tucked on a dark street in Hayes that has the most rum-based drinks you'll ever want to try in your lifetime. One of my favorite spots to hit up with a group of friends on any day of the week. The drinks are soo delicious and strong. I recommend the Painkiller and the Rum Barrel if you have no idea what to order -- the spice, rum, and mint are all great combos. The inside ambiance is dim, there's relatively limited seating (so get ready to get cozy with your friends and strangers), and pirate ship-esque. I'm a fan.Somehow, I've been super lucky and have never had to really wait in a line (or it's been less than 10min). But it's often very crowded, so beware!

This is one of my favorite bars in the city. It's always such a fun time and the cocktails are amazing. I love the Aku Aku, Kona cocktail, and of course, their infamous fluffy banana. It can sometimes feel way too cramped, so please take that into consideration if you're easily overstimulated or get claustrophobic. I wouldn't recommend it for meeting people, dates, or having in-depth conversations, because the noise level makes it hard to hear. That said, it's still a must-try spot in SF. I usually prefer sitting downstairs, where there's a bit more space than the main floor and a delightful little water feature. Both floors have a bar, so hiding downstairs is still a great time.I highly recommend kicking off the night here with a few fun drinks, then heading out before the line starts to get unruly.

Cool bar. On the small side but a great use of space since there are three floors. There are plenty of unique seating areas. Service was good at the bar even with it being crowded. The drinks were excellent. They have the standard tiki bar drinks but also many of their own concoctions. Seriously the menus was so large you need to come back several times to try them all
