What a vibey space! First of all it's so instagrammable! We came early as we were going to a show beforehand. I recommend you try the orange shower, it's a fun way to start the night! We enjoyed the beef heart meatball from their happy hour menu, should've ordered more. Then we had the sausage Peppers lonely hearts club pizza, garlic knots, and the carrot cake for dessert. Definitely worth the wait as advertised! It was not overly sweet which is always a nice thing to see on a dessert menu. Everything was delicious and unique and would be such a cool spot to take an out of town friend! Even the bathroom had cool hardware !

I really liked the concept of Shuggie's and their goal of tackling food waste, so it's been on my list for a while. I came on a Thursday night and was seated immediately. First off, the space itself is insanely vibe. There's a yellow and green room that are both so unique in their decorations; even the bathroom was interesting. In terms of the food, we ordered the Sausage Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band with a side of Ricotta Fluff and the Big Papa Cal's Daddy Cabbage. Overall, the food was solid but maybe a little overpriced for what you're getting. The pizza had a good flavor but lacked structure and fell apart super easily; it definitely isn't the best pizza in the city by any means but it was good enough. The charred cabbage had a good mixture of flavors, but I wish the portion was much bigger. The ricotta was super yummy--we were honestly just eating it by the spoonful, so I would super recommend ordering it. Service was kind and attentive, and the meal was enjoyable in general. Overall, I think this spot is cool to support for the general mission and vibes but not the most noteworthy in terms of the food.

Went in an hour before last call but the staff was still super welcoming and engaging. The bar and restaurant interior looked super fun and had a lot of personality I especially liked the stark color differences between the restaurant and bar side. The pizza was good we just ate 3 pizzas prior so we had a good baseline only got to try the Bobo's which had a very nostalgic flavor profile and I thought it was cool how they offer ricotta as a side/dip.The highlight was definitely the staff who gave off such positive energy.

Ambiance: Vibrant (obviously) and so different and quirky. The lighting in the green room is tinted green as well. When I arrived at 6:30pm on a Wed it was pretty empty, but by 7:30pm it was pretty crowded and lively. Service: Our server (Oliver?) was wonderful! He was personable, accommodating, and gave great recommendations!Food: I didn't know what to expect (trash pies right?), but everything exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend The Goddess (the dressing is was to die for). I also recommend getting a side of honey for the Avohottie pizza (the sweetness is a nice balance) and the Thai chilis aren't as hot pickled. Unfortunately they were out of the garlic knots. Happy Hour everyday 5pm-6:30pm.

This was such a fun dining experience! When you first walk into Shuggie's, you are met with a shock of bright yellow everything! Continue into the next room and it is all neon green! We came for a Saturday night reservation and was promptly seated. The food menu is small, one page, but the drink menu is larger. Sadly, there are only 3 non alcoholic options and when we asked if the cocktails could be made into mocktails, we were told no. We ended up both ordering the Ginger Lime Spritz. We had to follow up for my drink, maybe waited 10 minutes or so. It was really no problem and we were pleasantly surprised to be gifted the Stonefruit Salad as an apology for the wait! The salad (peaches, tomatoes, mint, some crispy onion bits?) turned out to be my favourite dish of the night too! We also ordered the Sausage Party Trash Pie (has a kick of spice so really great with a the honey add on) and the Garlic Knots (the ricotta fluff is to die for!)All in all, this was a great dining experience! From the vibe to the friendly service and yummy food, I would definitely come again - though hopefully when that time comes there will be more non alcoholic options :)

The waitstaff was extra friendly and answered all our questions; we came on a quiet Sunday night but they said it gets hectic on weekdays especially during happy hour. This waste-less food concept restaurant is very Instagram-able, with a green retro decor. We got the "Avo-hottie" pizza which is more like a flatbread. Palate-wise it was a bit spicy but not amazing. We also got a cod cheek dish with sunchokes to share - it's an unusual cut of meat and that dish tasted more gourmet.Overall, I would go back for the experience but would choose a different pizza or opt for the non-pizza options that take unusual cuts of meat and veggies.

Interesting decor and delicious food! I finally got to try Shuggie's, and the food did not disappoint! I came with my friends on a Friday night for dinner and we had reservations so we were seated right away. The restaurant gets busy so make sure you make reservations if you can. The decor is different and funky! I enjoyed the vibe. The staff is friendly but they don't check on you as much. They are busy and this wasn't a problem for me.Now for the food! I'm still dreaming about a few of the dishes:-Captain Beefheart Spicy Meatballs 5/5; they were delicious!!! The perfect bite each time. It comes with 3 meatballs and I could easily eat this dish by myself! -The Famous Garlic Knots 5/5: we ordered one at first, and then we ordered a second one. They were very flavorful, and the ricotta fluff they came with was to die for. Must get! -Trash Pie, Sausage Party 4/5, this was a good dish but not my favorite since the other ones were much better. It is like a thin pizza, with a good flavor but not the best one compared to the other dishes. -Dessert, Carrot Cake 5/5: it is a mix of fluffy bread with a lava cake. Lots of flavors are happening! It's definitely a must-try. -Our table ordered a few drinks and three were good. I had the "Orange Shower" which in essence is a wine. It was good! Overall great experience and I can't wait to come back. Food is amazing!

Happy SF Restaurant Week Shuggies!!!I got an email last week that was an offer I couldn't pass up from the awesome concept of Shuggies Trash Pizza and Natural Wine. 2 people for $60 prix fixe for 1 week only. I immediately sent my reservation. I sit here with a full belly after a bunch of laughs with my date. Y'all hit it out the park on your concept but certain dishes left me wanting more, on my last visit. This time around I was, beginning of service till the very end, impressed and happy. The prix fixe is simple: Tomato and stone-fruit salad (delicious, light, and somewhat reminiscent of a green papaya salad), Meatballs (gorgeous meatballs with a great spicy sauce element - pairs fantastically with the EPIC light and airy garlic knots), A pizza of your choosing (We went with an avo centered pizza that our server recommended and I think I ate this pizza and had a look of awe on my face because it was perfectly seasoned, as my server recommended), and a Chocolate Semifreddo (Delicious, complex, airy and light but deep to finish off the meal on a strong note). The service - great. The food - well plated, portioned, and served. The ambiance - upscale and chill. The location - probably perfect. Congrats on your first Restaurant Week, Shuggies. Hopes for many more.

Honestly I mostly came here because the vibes seemed fun, and overall i had a great experience! The decor/colors are amazing, and it was nice actually having a spacious booth to eat at. The food was also great, we had the bean dip which was SO GOOD and the pepperoni + chili honey pizza which was also tasty. I do wish the menu was a little bit bigger, but I guess it was nice not having to make as many decisions. I think my only complaint would be that the music was a bit loud and idk there seems to be no sound dampening in this restaurant because every table seemed to be screaming to talk. Just made it kinda hard to talk even to the person right next to me.Overall, love the story/vibe and the food is great!
