The friendliest staff anywhere! Great hours and well stocked. Also has an ATM machine for when you need it most.

Finally got to try this deli after walking by it a million times when I get off the J. It's a nice corner store on 24th with everything you need, and a convenient deli on the other side! Major props to them for being open so late! With everything on 24th closing at 10pm, it's nice to know this place is open to cure my cravings.First off, the people who work here are so nice! Seems like a family owned store, and the guy making my sandwich was the best. Took his time to make my sandwich perfect and even gave me a lettuce wrap to munch on while waiting! The meat and cheese was sliced right before my eyes and piled HIGH on that Dutch crunch. I got turkey and pepper jack with everything on it. Loved the pepperocinis he added. For $6 you'd have to be crazy to not try this sandwich!!! With its great taste and size, it's such a steal. Used to go to Whole Foods to get my sandwiches, but those were $10!!! With these being $4 Less and probably bigger, I'd have to say this might be the new go to sandwich spot in Noe.

The only thing I can really say for the sandwiches here is that they're affordable at $6. They're nothing special though... just average, kind of bland deli sandwiches. The guy who helped me wasn't very friendly either. I got there and waited for 5 minutes while he ignored me and did other stuff behind the counter, without ever saying "I'll be right with you" or "just a minute" or anything. The sandwich was also a little awkward to carry home -- it was wrapped in plastic wrap and paper towels, and was leaking juice. Normally I say no when a shop asks whether I want a bag if I can manage without, but I would have appreciated it if he'd even asked.

This is my neighborhood corner store-it is my go to for last minute produce or veggies that I need when cooking and the place I pop into for late night snacks. I believe it's family owned and operated and the staff and quality of goods is exceptional!Make it a point to stop in for a sandwich ...you won't regret it!

Went in to buy a few sodas here - was rung up for $10.... four four sodas. Two of the four ended up being past the expiration date.

They have a very decent selection of standard corner store/convenience store items. I wish I could like this place, especially since the young lady behind the counter is always friendly and helpful..But the older guy who is usually there is not an honest man. Why is it every time he charges me for anything I pay more than I do when the young lady (Christina?) or his brother rings me up? Always. One day kept my money and said I didn't give it to him. Yes! I counted out my money and was momentarily distracted, when I turned and faced the cash register gain he had the nerve to tell me that I still owed him $10 for my purchases. I KNOW I had given him the correct amount of money. But it is my fault for not paying better attention. I kept insisting that I had given him the correct amount, but he held up the remaining bills in his hand and shook his head, so I went a head and gave the Cōra ANOTHER $10. Shame on you for knowingly taking money and lying about it. ŚaramalCōra

5 stars for the excellent service at this (almost on a) corner store. whenever i'm in here, there are like 9 employees/members of the family hanging about and they will gladly explain to you why there are two chips sections and why the laundry detergent is next to the deli. They are all so friendly...they even argue with each other in a nice type way. If this were my family, I would hang out in Shufat all the time. But instead my family is more like something out of V.C. Andrews novella and so, I choose to spend most of my night crying in the dark.also: http://www.nutritional-information.info/item43740.aspx ONE point for TWO slices! I found this at Shufat and that alone is worth 5 stars!also: every time i write a review, i lose like 2 fans and whenever i just shut up, i gain a bunch. fuck you all.

I am admittedly the kind of elitist jerk-off who categorically eschews mass-marketed foods in favor of wholesome morsels organically prepared by virginal artisans. But, there is a time and a place for picking up a Diet Coke, a bag of gummi worms, and a bottle of cheap red wine, and Shufat is the kind of place that makes me feel dignified about these dark times of life. Not just because the proprietor family is known far and wide to be the friendliest gentlemen around (and they ARE!) but also because the gummi worms come out of reassuring health food store bulk bins, the wine is very reasonably priced, and they carry a selection of higher-end foods (for when I come groveling back to Paul Newman and Bionaturae for my transgressions.)Oh, and they take Visa. So don't tell me small businesses can't afford to. Shit, people can't afford not to, okay? Cash is dead. Electronic money is the future. Deal with it. Also, my reliance upon my Visa check card is terrifying.

Vision a really bad liquor store in the Tenderloin. Now picture the exact opposite of that, and that's exactly what Shufat is.First up, the sandwiches are off the hook! Seriously! A family run grocery/liquor store with a crew of the friendliest mellow tribe in all of S.F. Besides purchasing an item and munching on those delicious sandwiches, if you're ever strolling on 24th and Noe, you just have to stop off at Shufat and chat with the brothers...Latest in Sports News? They got it! Lastest in Hair Do's? They got it! Lastest in Dorrito's chips, dips and sips? They got it!... and + they Giants fans, that's 5 stars already.Shufat Clan ain't none to mess with. Hahaha.

I live on Castro by 24th St. & sometimes I'll take the J on the way home instead of the KLM to the 24. When that happens I usually crave a donut to keep me company on that walk home, which I could easily get from Happy Donuts, it being on the corner & all. Instead, I choose to spend that money foolishly on lottery tickets. Sure, I may not win money, but I win in non-fatness.
