I walked in here not quite sure whether it was a counter order operation or an actual restaurant. I was told to sit down at a table if I wanted to dine in, so I did what I was told. I believe it was the multitasking owner who waited on me, so service felt slow and drawn out at this newish spot. The menu was an unusual hybrid of Latin plates and standard American diner fare. I was drawn to the $25 New York Steak.It just seemed like a good deal since it came with sautéed vegetables and a choice of mashed potatoes or salad. Was walking around the Excelsior and stumbled upon this newly opened place. Not going to lie, but at first it seem a little intimidating. I wasn't sure if it was open to the public. Although it had signs of "grand opening" and had holiday decorations you can see from the sidewalk, I was confused if it was a restaurant, catering business or if it was for private dining/ meeting space - Then it stared to rain.So I ended up walking in and saw that they had breakfast and dinner menus on their TV monitors. They have a good amount of breakfast and dinner selections. Since it was sprinkling outside, my eyes went straight to the soup. Caldo.The server and the chef (he had a chef coat on) we're both pleasant. The lady server does not really speak English but she was very pleasant and even pulled out her phone to type and use Google translate. Much appreciated.Honestly, I can't really give them a food review since this is the first time I went and only had soup. I mean, how can you really mess up Caldo de Res? Serving was a good, big bowl, came with some arroz and warm corn tortillas, seems they make their own.I'll definitely come back and try other items very soon. Note: this used to be Burger King and The Chicken Wings place.

My first restaurant in the excelsior area and it was great! This seems to be a relatively new place, and the staff were a bit awkward but nice. If you're eating in, you're getting charged after your meal fyi. I got the cioppino ($27) and the burger with fries ($15). The burger was such a great deal, perfectly cooked and the fries were exactly what I wanted (crispy and well salted). 5/5 stars. The cioppino was huge and delicious. It also included bread + butter and had generous portions of crab, shrimp, and calamari. Definitely coming back here to try some more it

Country Cafe is amazing, it has a just like home feeling. The staff go above and beyond everytime. Love this place. Food is bomb so so good. Everythingis good. They know what I like and how I like it. This review is overdue as I first tried Sandyy M a few weeks ago while in SanFran for work. I have since ordered via a popular delivery service 4x and the food is great every time (I'm in the area quite a bit). Seafood pastas, grilled salmon, grilled shrimp, pupusas.. all have been fresh, flavorful, well prepared, and very filling. I love the spicy salad that comes with your meal! The pictures aren't 100% accurate, and sometimes you get potatoes when ordering rice, but still worth it. Give this place a try!!

The restaurant is located in the heart of the Excelsiour district, it is a very clean place to have breakfast, dinner or lunch and of course your snacks. My friends and I visited SandyymAmerican Food Restaurant for a quick meeting and the customer service was excellent, they never stopped asking if we needed anything else. They always brings us some water. We suggest that when you visit this restaurant you have an open mind, as this is an American-oriented and Latin-cultural restaurant, so you will also find Latin dishes available. Believe me, you will always find something you like at this place, like frozen yogurt, ice cream, and other snacks. why do not you try it? I own a local business and I support local business. I found out that you can even rent this place for your special events.

I had the food delivered. The service on delivery was excellent. The food was carefully packaged and arrived in great shape. All the dishes were yummy! I got the scrambled eggs with vegies and the Shrimp, vegies & spaghetti. I would definitely order this food again!

Everyone was nice, place was clean and well decorated. Food was priced right and high quality. Chef knew his stuff. I will come back here. You can order a hamburger or a pupusa lol, New York steak etc. huge menu. My girlfriend and I were able to both get what we were craving.

Good to have a new restaurant in the neighborhood. I like pasta vey much and their pasta is delicious. I also tried the grilled chicken and it is really good, too.I will continue experiencing other dishes in there. People there are very nice and attentive with customers. I invite you to try.

This is the worst restaurant everAwful service, RED mustard and YELLOW ketchup don't eat here unless you want FOOD POISONING
