Fresh and flavorful ice cream! My fav is fresh mint chip where you can actually taste real mint and not the fake stuff.I find that the double scoop of just a smidge satisfies my sweet tooth. The shop itself is cozy and intimate located right by the park where you can people and dog watch. Staff also friendly:Let them know if you have allergies (nut etc) and they will scoop from barrels inside to avoid cross contamination.

Michael at the Hayes Valley location was super nice and friendly to me. He gave me his opinion on the best flavor of ice cream for pie and it was super helpful. Loved talking to him and getting to know him!

Flavors for the ice cream were both typical but you will find some that are quite unique. While there weren't many options to choose from, you will definitely find something for everyone amongst the 8-10 flavors in display. Make sure you ask for a taste test before you settle on your pick.

Cute little ice cream shop that offers classic and unique flavors. Service was super friendly and offered me a few samples before deciding on the Schwarz Walder Eis- chocolate ice cream with black forest cake and cherry ribbon. Tasted like an elevated version of the Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia! So fun and delicious, I'd come back in a heartbeat.

Hot contender for best mint chocolate chip scoop in SF. The mint flavor is bright and tastes exactly like fresh mint leaves. The chocolate chips are large and chocolatey vs being more bittersweet. Hometown also makes excellent waffle cones fresh on the premises.

Before even the ice cream, want to address 2 things: 1) I respect so much that their spoons are metal! It's something I've seen a bit more recently and I just really respect when businesses improve in small ways like that. Secondly, love all the attention to allergens! I don't have scary allergies but I know many folks who do, and this kind of allergy-friendly atmosphere I felt was very sweet. :)The ice cream was quite good- I got Madagascar vanilla with rainbow sprinkles, and a friend got the peanut butter one. We sampled their rotating flavors and they were delicious- highly recommend black sesame. Also given the number of $$$ on Apple Maps, we thought this place would be much more expensive per scoop. Looking for an ice cream place one night while we were vacationing in San Francisco we found the San Francisco creamery and headed that way. It's a little off the beaten path and the directions to get there can be a bit confusing based on the way the street splits. Once we arrived, there is plenty of street parking. The shop was small with very limited seats inside and two tables for two outside. Luckily, there was only one group there when we arrived and one group that came while we were enjoying our ice cream. I could see on the weekends though, or during warmer weather, it being very difficult to find a spot so plan on getting your ice cream as a walking treat.The ice cream itself was delicious. All is made on site. We got the rocky road, peanut butter fudge and a rotating flavor, finnegans wake cake. The group's favorite was the peanut butter fudge. The Finnegan wake cake was good but flavors described were lighter, more subtle than I was hoping for. It tasted more like a sweet cream than an Irish cream and stout cake mix.Overall pretty tasty ice cream and I can see it being a favorite of many locals. I don't know if I'd go out of my way for it again but it was good to try.

Best ice cream ever! Would recommend love Madagascar vanilla! Has so much flavor! And my favorite ice cream flavor is Chocolate this vanilla ice cream is better than all the chocolate ice cream ever tasted !!

It's a nice setup and unique shop, the lady who assisted us was very nice. She gave us samples and very patient with us when we're still decided on the flavors. Ice cream was flavorful but very sweet (hence 4 stars). We tried the vanilla and lemon poppy seed. I absolutely love the lemon poppy! but I couldn't eat more than half of my scoop because it was overwhelmingly sweet for me. Good snacks before the evening outdoor movie.

This is a small shipping container filled with treats. My taste buds were thrilled by all the flavors. I tasted a few and settled for vegan chocolate with sprinkles. The music made me stick around and I loved the art on the wall. Stay and enjoy your ice cream. What's the rush? You deserve this treat.
