Saint Frank Coffee

We came here twice on our vacation which is saying a lot since we usually like to explore all new places and rarely go to the same place twice in one trip.The customer service was great!! Their system works so well, you order your drink first and then you pay at the register and a few moments later or more like seconds later your drink is ready to go :) no waiting around for your drink to come out despite the long lines out the door which is super impressive.Our favorite drink we got was the mocha and our least favorite was the pine latte. DEFINITELY GET THE CHOCOLATE CROISSANT we had it both times we went cause it was that good. We will definitely be back next time we are in the city

Didn't realize there was a St Frank near the Embarcadero. Bookmarked! Consistent coffee tween the locations. My personal fave is the honey lavender latte. Staff at this location are also cool and fast. Fair amount of seating and a few spots outside too. Solid spot, check it out if you're nearby

Great place to hang out and meet your friends but I got a mid drink for $8 and okay service. Long story short, you're only going there if you're new to the city, visiting, or working nearby and wanted to experience elevated cafes. You're not going there for the coffee, I didn't try the food so maybe that's what people are loving. Maybe I had high expectations for this place because it was a recommendation but it felt overpriced for what you get. I got an iced mocha and the house-made milk was the highlight of that drink for only $1.25 extra. Their menu is difficult to understand, they have one little wooden piece with the drinks they offer like lattes and another one that says coffees and just a list of I don't know what they were, probably different beans or brews. But if you're going to make your menus that small there should be multiple copies so we're not all waiting to figure out what we want once we get up to the register, holding up the line, because this is what happened to all 5 parties in front of and including us. So with everyone waiting to even get a glimpse of the menu, needing their questions answered, because literally no one understood this, going through the line took a minute. I also just think with tipping culture at 18% minimum as an expectation now, I'd hope to be treated a little nicer. My friend thought there were two registers going and went up to the person standing right in front of the tablet that takes orders, only for her to rudely say it wasn't open when prompted. If she just said "no, sorry there's only that line," It'd be fine but she had a bit more to add.

Let's start by saying great customer service! They rock, so inviting and warm. I was so excited to come visit, I heard great things. I was wanting to love it, but the coffee was not tasty to me . The latte was bitter and acidic. My friend was feeling the same about his flight and he is a coffee snob .

I've been a Saint Frank patron for a few years, having lived on Nob Hill for a few years before moving to SoMa a few months ago. I was trekking here because I love the almond macadamia milk, but I find the quality is a bit inconsistent. When the cashier finished making my drink this morning, she did the fastest milk pour I've ever seen -- zero attempt at latte art, just a straight pour. I nearly gasped I could have made that at home.

Mocha - more on the rich side from the chocolate but still delicious. Could've also been from the whole milk.I usually just go to grab a drink during work, but the seating inside seems very cozy and a good amount of tables. Would recommend however most drinks are on the pricier side so wouldn't come here every day. Love the service and staff are always friendly.

One of the top notch coffee shop in SF! I love everything about them. Service ( minus an issue), pastry, coffee is level- "luxury"! They are serving community well! I love their coffee beans selections as well, They are sourced from great farms and roasted freshly! Interior design is very Scandinavian modern. Baristas are super friendly and knowledgeable. The only issue to watch out! ( it's an outgoing problem) They overcharge or put wrong price on items you buy! I just paid 24$ for a small cortado and a croissant. ) i noticed a guy before me was buying couple regular coffees and he paid like 22$, then I looked menu and made simple math and he was charged an extra cup of joe! Before that, I was buying espresso with tonic and on their menu it was one price but when I look at how much they charged me it was 1.5 times more ( and that was not tax). I don't know what's the deal but I don't like hassle like that. I don't argue with barista on extra $3-$4 charge but I don't give out tips to them anymore. Just watch out!

Very efficient service. It's a good spot to do work but parking is a bit hard to find in the area. I got the seasonal maple and pine latte and a latte with housemade almond and macadamia milk. The pine flavor is a bit over powering for me. I do prefer the other more. You can really taste the macadamia in the classic latte.
