If you need to run for a beer late at night and nothing around close by opened, this maybe the place to go (because you want something to drink). Price is above average. The cashier (owner most of the time) calls his own price (if you do not see a price tag) which is HIGHER. If you pay with credit card, there is extra $0.50 (and he will not tell you). All I am saying is the prices are not fair. Just be mindful.

After searching endlessly online for a particular spirit (lambanog; distilled coconut nectar from the Philippines) that I needed for a marketing project I'm currently doing for my MBA course (so I actually needed it for school; go figure) and calling several stores, in several states (all the stores listed on Infanta Lambanog's website - I didn't call any bars), only one store had it; Saint Francis Square Liquors (SFSL). Originally I called them up to see if they had it, and a guy picked up and he told me they did. I asked if they deliver and explained I lived out of state. He said, "No." I asked if he delivered in-state. He said, "No." I told him I was interested and I'd call back. I called a friend (Chef at Radius) who lives in San Francisco to see if he could go there, buy it for me and ship it to me; he could. So I called SFSL back (about 15 minutes later) to place an order, but nobody picked up. I left a message telling the guy I wanted to place an order for four bottles and I'd have my friend pick it up. (I realize: How are they going to trust me? So I had left my friend's name and phone number... so they could confirm it... which they didn't). The next day, I called to make sure they're open on Sundays (because that's when my friend said he could go there), but again nobody picked up. I had suspected after the first "no pick up" they had caller ID, assumed I was a "non-customer" since I was from out of state, and decided to just ignore me.The next day I had another friend call (from my current residence; IL, thus another out-of-state #), and what do you know.. the bastard answered. He told my IL friend they were open and I was able to convey that to my other friend, so he could go there (and spend $100 bucks) and support their damn business.Had ANY other place sold lambanog, guess where I would have had my friend, NOT go... The bastard had caller ID and ignored me; that's the world class customer service you get at Saint Francis Square Liquors. Go there if you'd like; I certainly won't. Once again (as with my other Yelp review), perhaps this was just "the one time it ever happened;" and (again) this is just one person's, one experience.

I am surprised at the lack of reviews for this place! I was trying to find a higher end Cognac that was a harder to find in the area and found it here at Saint Francis Square Liquor. I live extremely close to this place and never thought about it! The prices he is offering are excellent! Very nice cashier/owner and definitely some place I'll come back to for my future liquor visits.
