such a cute spot on Polk with good seating, wifi, and outlets. Also has amazing service and staff is so friendly!! Tried their specialty tahini latte which was delicious. They also have a good selection of coffee and speciality drinks, so definitely will be back to try other things on their menu

A small cafe with wifi! They have a couple of tables on the sides along with a bigger community table. They have some outlets but closer to the window. I got their seasonal special latte, Tahini Latte (creamy but not much of a taste), and a bagel with cream cheese. Overall, an OK cafe.

I'd give it more stars if the server hadn't completely misunderstood my order for a cafe au laut. I got a brimming cup of drip coffee which I accepted even though it wasn't what I wanted. It was good coffee. I didn't order anything else because the pastry selection was thin -- it was very late in the day. It was jam packed with Pele with empty cups and laptops. Always a sad vista. But I found a space and enjoyed my wrong drink. I'd go again but probably order a more common drink.

How bad can a plain Americano coffee be? I just found out. The worst $10 spent. Hope it can improve at this location.

I probably should've rated this a 2 star, but seeing it's a local coffee shop I won't go that far. I got an oat milk cortado and a drip coffee. The espresso for the cortado was pulled, and the barista left for almost 5 minutes. When she finally returned, she steamed the oatmilk, poured and handed it to me. No flavor. No creaminess. The oatmilk was overly steamed. The espresso was either not good, or had lost some flavor just sitting there. The drip coffee tasted legit like water with a slight hint of bitterness. I also got a raspberry croissant that I took 3 bites out of and just threw away. Unfortunately, not a great experience at this shop.

Royal Ground Coffee is located a moderately busy street that has a variety of dine-in options. I'm in this area very frequently, and have been craving a nice, thick, foamy latte that I have only experienced getting at mom and pop type of cafes. As for other cafes in the immediate area, there are two mainstream coffee shops, if you walk up the hill past White Street, there's another locally owned cafe for to-go orders only. The menu here is adorable, written in chalk and decorated with drawings. There are options for espresso-based drinks, smoothies, sandwiches, and more. I ordered the hazelnut latte, but it was unfortunately not what I was hoping for as it tasted diluted and watery. Seating: We came on a Saturday morning and there were only 3 other patrons in the cafe. There are 3 individual tables and a long shared table. It was quiet in the cafe, most people there were whispering and there's no music playing. Parking: There is only street parking available. Meter parking only in the immediate area, but if you drive by the residential part, parking ranges from 2 hour limits to all day parking on weekends.

Great oat milk Iced lattes! The oat milk they use is really oat-y which I loved! The service is great and the woman who was taking orders I came was sweet and patient. We came in pretty early - around 10 on a Saturday and I was surprised how many people were there already. It seemed like a good place to chill and get some work done if you're into that. They also serve food like avocado toasts and pastries and of course delicious lattes!

MID!ambiance was very nice. piano music and beautiful decor. nice little flower vase on a marble table. I went with my girlfriend. she ordered an iced lavender matcha latte, and i ordered a vietnamese iced coffee, and we shared a breakfast bagel, a spinach and ricotta danish, and a slice of carrot cake. the drinks came first. immediately i noticed the intense milkiness of what should be a medium-brown drink. as i sipped my vietnamese iced coffee, i tasted more of an iced white mocha made with bad espresso. i did finish it, since it's still one of my favorite type of coffee drinks. however, no vietnamese iced coffee should have any milk milk in addition to the sweetened condensed milk, let alone so much.my girlfriend's matcha was clearly not mixed well. they'd stirred matcha powder into cold milk, but didn't imulsify it enough, so tiny matcha spots floated through green milk. i took a sip after her. it was impressively lacking in flavor. I couldn't detect any hint of lavender flavor, and the matcha was barely distinguishable from the taste of cold milk. she drank most of it.our danish and bagel arrived together. the danish was far better than the bagel. the filling was creamy, and i enjoy spinach. the edges were even better - flaky phyllo dough with a black sesame seed coating. the seeds made for a nice crunch, and when a good ratio of filling-to-edge was achieved, the bite was delightful. the bagel is not worth ordering. two slices of American Cheese(tm) (the kind that comes between sheets of plastic and, itself, has a reminiscent texture of plastic) hug an egg patty and a sausage patty. both are distinctly low quality, matching the cheese and the bagel itself. all in all, it seems to be comprised of solely items grabbed off the shelf of the nearest bodega. finally, the carrot cake. it was the most delicious item we ordered. it was cold, moist, and just the right amount of dense. the cream cheese frosting was delightful and the overall ratio of frosting to cake was nearly perfect. TLDR- drinks were dissatisfying. the food is hit or miss. the cake is delicious. proceed with caution.
