Mushroom Empanadas - Our crowd favorite. Wrapper was fried perfectly, with a good buttered dough. Mushroom was tasty as well Yucca Fries - Good aioli helps since the yucca was not very crispy.Ceviche Sampler - Ceviche was good but I've had fresher with better juices.Paella - Packed with seafood and good portions but taste was not very memorable Service was nice and quick.Overall, solid Peruvian place but I've had better.

My fiance and I decided to come and try this new spot as we just moved into south sf! We were the only customer there since they just opened at 11am. We wanted a breakfast meal but when I saw the menu I decided to try the chicken dish they had. I loved it! I loved how the chickens were thin and the seasoning they used was just delicious! My fiance got the sandwich and he was surprised too, he took the first bite and was like ," wow it's good," and I know he is picky so it was a great sign.I like how there's a full bar inside and the restaurant just looked super nice and had great lighting from the huge windows they have. We will definitely come back again soon!!

Umm I completely forgot to take a picture of my food. I got the pollada which kinda threw me off cause of the description. Wasn't sure if it was pollo a la brasa or pollada. Huge respect to the waiter who knew what he was talking about and knew the menu. The food was delicious - we wished we had more. The pollada was the right consistency flavor wise. The 2 notes I would add is the chicken was a bit bigger cause it seemed like a small/skinny version of the chicken. Also, I would slice the potatoes and fry them or bake as supposed to the small potatoes. The lomo was amazing. My husband and kid really enjoyed it. The chicha was perfection. Not sure if this is a new place, there wasn't much people at the restaurant but it did take awhile to get the check and also get out of there since we were waiting.

Even though I am currently stuffed from eating lunch here, I am already planning my second trip back to Rockoto. Every single thing we ordered was delicious. I couldn't decide what dish I liked more than the other. Good food, good drinks, good service, and good vibes! Chef's kiss!

This strip of restaurants has some of the tastiest food I've had here in South San Francisco. Rockoto was no different. We came here on cold Tuesday night and it was pretty empty inside. It's a little off the main strip so maybe that's why. Decor was minimal but overall fine. The man helping us was very nice and helpful. He recommend the Mushroom Empanadas and Salmon a Lo Macho to us so of course we had to try both. The mushroom empanadas were fine to me but the rest of the group I came with really enjoyed it. Even mentioning it might've been their favorite from our week long trip. I might've been too full to completely enjoy it. The Salmon a Lo Macho was great. The flavors are not as bold as you'd think off the color of this plate. It has a more subtle taste and really lets the seafood do the talking. All the meats were cooked well. No dry or chewy pieces at all. Overall, it was a good spot for us to try. It was my first time tasting Peruvian food and I really enjoyed it!

I came here for dinner, and it was quite empty! It's really spacious, though, and the workers are pretty nice. I ordered the chaufa with chicken, and my dish was pretty mid. My husband ordered the lomo saltado, and this was really really salty! My food was on the salty side, too, but not as bad as his. My quest for the perfect Peruvian restaurant is still on!
