Since I went work remote in 2020, my local coffee shops have been my co-workers. The R&G Staff is always nice and always willing to have a chat. My go to drink is the Iced Horchata Latte. The best in town. The Turkey Avocado sandwich is one of the best values in the city. Three small tables outside. Stop by to get coffee before a walk in golden gate or after a run

What a charming spot located right by the edge of Golden Gate Park. The avocado toast was delicious on a very soft hand sized toast with nice crispy edges. Service was prompt and warm. The inside is filled with plants and a small bench for waiting and a countertop in the window for standing with your delectables. There are three two person tables outside the front on a normally quiet street that I enjoyed my coffee and toast. If you're afraid that the drinks are the standard Starbucks sugar heavy fare fear not: my crème brûlée latte was delicious with just a touch of sweet. Perfection.

9am Saturday:Got here just before the big line formed. Usually there would be more people but it's cold out, making the 2 outdoor tables not as popular. Line up to order from the coolest person ever, all smiles & tattoos. Thrilled that I got to order from a live human, as everyone was ignoring the computer screen. Everything packed to-go. The patrons are almost all locals, parking is impossible across from Golden Gate Park. There was a couple cars double parked, I encroached on the bus stop. There's a standing counter by the window, & a bench by the pickup window. That's where I ate my breakfast. Yay, zero laptop village. Unlike Folsom Street, 8th Avenue location has my beloved avocado toast. Ordered that & a tea latte. I forgot to get bacon. Next time. Two slices of bread, chili flakes to spice up the avocado spread, topped with a rather runny fried egg. I've got to learn to be more high maintenance, but I did remember to hold the mayo. Being San Francisco, the toast was Not Toasted. Why. Think I've cracked the code. Artisanal bread = deal with it. Anyway, good non-toast. Bread at least had enough crust to eat with my hands. It's not as much fun to use those bendy plastic knives & fork. To manage expectations, the place is clean, fast & friendly service, good food coming out of a cafe that desperately needs a makeover. The kitchen/supply area is 4 times the space of the waiting area. Stacks of boxes everywhere. No matter, Rise & Grind is a solid choice. I'll be back on my way to the park on a warmer day. Before our visit to the deYoung Museum & exploring Golden Gate Park, my boyfriend and I needed our morning coffee. I had this place bookmarked for a while now, so I'm happy we finally got the chance to try it. It's conveniently right next to the park, so it's an easy park and walk over. We opted for the Cookie Butter Latte and Horchata Latte, both hot. They were fresh, flavorful, and warm, especially when the fog is in town. The Avocado Toast was sadly out of stock around 11am when we got there, so we went with the Bagel Breakfast Sandwich instead. It was still a good option, very warm and filling. But I definitely want to come back for the Avocado Toast to give it a try.The workers were welcoming and tried to accommodate their customers as efficiently as possible. There's a lot of people who order here, but it's not surprising because of their unique menu and thousands of options. The interior of the place is nicely decorated with plants and wall art. Not much seating can be found besides a few tables outside and standing chairs inside, but it can easily be brought on a nice stroll around Golden Gate Park

I've been here a few times and usually enjoy their coffee, so I was excited to try the black sesame latte. The coffee was good, but the latte fell short overall. The black sesame wasn't mixed well, resulting in a weak flavor throughout the drink. I was disappointed to discover that by the end, all the black sesame had clumped at the bottom of the cup. The avocado toast was good, with a thick slice of bread.

**Title: Perfect Brew, Green Oasis, and Dog-Friendly Vibes Next to Golden Gate Park at Rise and Grind!**Rise and Grind is an absolute gem for coffee lovers, plant enthusiasts, and dog owners, conveniently located right next to Golden Gate Park! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with the delightful aroma of freshly brewed coffee, complemented by the lush greenery that fills the space, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere.I recently tried their horchata latte and a blueberry danish, and both were absolutely delightful. The horchata latte was a perfect blend of creamy and spicy, with just the right amount of sweetness--definitely a unique and refreshing twist on a classic coffee drink. The blueberry danish was fresh and flaky, with a generous filling of sweet, tangy blueberries that paired perfectly with the latte. The abundance of plants adds a refreshing and vibrant touch to the decor, making Rise and Grind not just a coffee shop, but a green oasis in the city. The seating is all outside, providing a wonderful alfresco experience that lets you enjoy your coffee in the fresh air. The cozy outdoor seating areas, bathed in natural light, provide the perfect setting for working, studying, or simply unwinding with a great cup of coffee. What sets Rise and Grind apart is its dog-friendly policy. Great place for coffee and yummy breakfast sandwiches. Love this location being right next to GGP. Staff were super friendly and gave their recommendations as the menu is quite extensive. Love how you can choose from so many different options unlike most other cafes. I tried the horchata latte with oat milk and it was very tasty. I usually don't like my coffee warm but this one was so delicious that I didn't mind, especially for how chilly the morning was. Now the star of the show was the breakfast sandwich. Dare I say one of the best I've had in a long time. The sauce they put in the sandwich made it even better. Truly a perfect spot for breakfast.

I recently visited Rise and Grind, eager to try a new café in the area. I decided on the crème brûlée latte, and to my delight, it wasn't overly sweet--something I really appreciated. The latte was creamy and flavorful, and the staff were both efficient and friendly. The café itself is charming, though seating is a bit limited. I'd definitely return to explore more of their menu!

I ordered and paid for an egg coffee but was then informed that they were sold out and would not have another batch ready until way later. I switched my order to a black sesame matcha latte (only available iced) with oat milk and declined their polite offer to refund me the difference, as it was marginal. When my drink was ready, the barista told me to stir it well before drinking it. I gave it several good stirs and took a sip. It tasted slightly bitter and grassy, so I stirred it some more, which greatly improved the taste as the black sesame became more prominent. I liked that it wasn't super sweet; it tasted very balanced. But about that egg coffee... I still want to try it, so I'll be making another trip to this café sometime.

This location is on the small side, it seems like that may be a pandemic change, so mostly space to wait for your order inside with some outdoor seating. I came for their limited (hopefully it stays on the menu!) Vietnamese egg custard coffee. Thankfully, they had just made a batch when I arrived, so it may not always be available pending demand. Perfectly salty and sweet, it went down way too fast! SF lacks Vietnamese style coffee so this is a great addition to neighborhood. Hope you get to try it while it's around and it becomes a permanent part of the menu :)
