You could practically find anything Asian here, particularly Chinese goods. Their drinks section is extensive and some items can't be found elsewhere and if so, not at these prices. Besides snacks produce and meat, they also have every kind of dried ingredients from fruits to mushrooms to roots!Crowded on weekends, there's tons of items in stock, so check on the expiration and freshness yourself, because the staff might miss it. No one comes here for the ambiance, but if you're a curious foodie who sometimes look for Asian ingredients, this place is it! Beware of long checkout lines, but they do move fairly quickly.

We've been loyal customers for over a decade. They used to be great - a one stop shop for all Asian groceries, and everything is fresh and reasonably priced. There wasn't anything you couldn't find here. But in the past few years, I've been noticing them selling expired products, opened and resealed products, and even moldy products. The worst part of it is that they are so unapologetic about it. They have a "take it or leave it" attitude, which doesn't serve them well since there is plenty of competition in the neighborhood. I hate to leave a bad review for a Chinese grocery market, but the owner hopefully is reading and should be aware that he is rapidly losing loyal customers due to the horrible service - mostly the female manager with the glasses and the cashiers. The men behind of the meat counter, on the other hand, are nice and helpful.

Quality/Quantity - I still remembered when they moved and opened here. They were a hit!But it has really gone downhill since then. With so many competitors, I am surprised that they can not keep up the standards when they first opened?!?!Anyways, we are still regular customers as they offer one stop shopping for Asian groceries. Plus, our guest is a regular customer.Atmosphere - Decent size supermarket, except the aisles are tight and they cram in so much stuff. Fresh produce and seafood. Service - They do their job. Do not expect to have any conversations here. The boss must be strict on productivity, lol.Price - Reasonably priced.Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since??? I believe you have been around for 35+ years?

Spent $8 on a pomelo that was all peel, no fruit. See picture attached. Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!Bought fruits labeled $2.49/lb, got charged $3.99/lb, and yelled at when I point out the price right above the fruit is not correct. The price does not match the level of service/abuse.

I like this place because it's an easy one-stop shop with a really good selection of Asian, especially Chinese ingredients. All the ingredients for any Chinese meal I make can pretty much be found here. I mean the selection is really vast. And though it's not as large as a chain Asian grocery store like 99 Ranch, it's a still a good size. They definitely utilize every inch of space here, lol.One thing though is as much I like to cook with fresh rice noodles, I typically don't buy them here. They usually seem kind of hard (should be fairly soft if they're sold soon after they're made). The fresh vegetable section is good.Service can be inconsistent, but the owners/managers are helpful.Parking is difficult and no fun, especially on weekends.

I've been here multiple times in the past, as I've gone through a few phases of drinking a specific type of soda that isn't sold many places (it's Japanese). Today I wanted to make a specific type of candy that called for Agar agar powder, I didn't have to call before coming, I knew they'd have it, and they did! Of course I also grabbed a ton of snacks, this place has an abundance of selection! It was incredibly busy at the time that my partner and I went, and the lines were halfway down the aisles, but the lines moved along fairly quickly! This spot can be a little overwhelming and overstimulating but if you can manage to push through the noise and visual stimulus of all the colors and languages, it's got some fantastic stuff to choose from and try out! The staff was friendly and helped to move everyone along at an easy pace.

Ode to New May Wah SupermarketI should've checked Yelp, but hey, I'm bold,How bad could a 3.7 rating be, I'm told.So in I stroll, no worries, no dread,Little did I know what lay ahead.Groceries scanned, card swiped with a flash,But no bag? Wait, isn't that standard stash? In every store, cashiers kindly ask,"Need a bag?"--it's their simple task. But not here, no, they've got a new way,I'm standing bagless, confused in dismay.I ask for a bag, and she snaps with glee,"25 CENTS!"--as if scolding me."No cash, just a card," I explain, still nice,But she ignores me, doesn't think twice. No eye contact, no flicker of care,Guess my request was too much to bear. Now I'm stuck, groceries still on the stand,No bag, no help--this isn't what I'd planned. But wait! She yells, with all her might,"MOVE YOUR GROCERIES!"--oh, what a delight.I grab a basket to move my haul,No bag in hand, so this was my call. But here's the twist--another employee appears,Snatches it back with a scowl and sneers. She acts like I'm plotting to steal it away,As if their grimy baskets make anyone's day.Covered in dirt, dust, and decay,Who'd want to swipe that? No way, José!Back to the cashier, still holding hope,"I can pay for the bag!" I try to cope. But she's moved on, serving the next in line,"CUSTOMER!" she gestures, as if I'm malign. As if paying means I've ceased to exist,No longer a customer--oh, the twist! In other stores, bags come with a smile,But here? I'm demoted, left to reconcile. And here's the kicker--how silly, indeed,To lose my business over a 25-cent need.A bag they could've tossed in for free,Yet now they've lost a customer--me!Another option, so simple and clear,Could've been to say, "Sorry, no bags here,"Politely, with kindness, no need to shout,Instead of the rudeness that made me walk out.So I gather my things, and exit with pride,Knowing I'll never return for this ride.No bags, no service, just a ridiculous scene--At least I'll never be back for round two of this routine!

Shopping at this store today was one of the worst shopping experiences. A confrontational employee approached, demanding I take a basket. When I said no thank you and walked away. They followed me with the basket around the store. I looked around and noticed that other shopping customers like me had items in their personal bags. I asked the employee if they would also ask them to use a basket, and the employee walked away.I asked for the manager and informed them of the incident. The manager was not apologetic, unfriendly, and dismissive. I told them that I was a loyal customer who shops there multiple times a week, and they showed me ZERO remorse and said that everyone shops here and that the employee did not speak English. Whether an employee speaks English or not is not an excuse for terrible customer service and abrasive behavior. As a person with dark skin, this experience was very uncomfortable!

WASH any produce you buy here. Yesterday, I saw one of the workers pick up blueberries that fell on the floor and put it back in the container and back in the stack. Myself and another woman just watched in shock. Management would not hear it. I've shopped here for years and I am so disappointed to see this.

The hot pot sliced beef and especially the sliced pork are inedible. Literally throwing them out after trying them. They shouldn't be selling them.
