The "Richmond Market" is a corner convenience/ liquor store in the Outer Richmond District of the City of San Francisco. This store was in the news recently due to a tragic event. A clerk was beaten by a shoplifter, and he lost his life. I was driving by, and decided to stop and buy something. My first impression of the store was that it's well-stocked, organized, and lacked clutter. I asked the clerk if they had packaged sandwiches. He said no, but then came around the checkstand to show me what they had. He pointed out frozen sandwiches that needed microwaving. He was very polite and helpful. I think I spent $13 on chips and cookies. Observations:- Liquor, wine, beer, sodas and other drinks- basic groceries. - large selection of ice creams- lots of chips and snacks- cat food and litterMisc: - street parking only- cute black cat roaming the aisles- flowers from recent memorial still in front of store. Nice corner store, run by nice people.

This place has the worst customer service, and I've gotten items stolen here. Pls be weary. There are better stores up in front on balboa.

I want to support my local Bodega.... here's why I will stop going here:The older Asian gentlemen that works the cashier is possibly the worst cashier you could possibly hire to run your store I don't understand the owners hands-off approach...... this cashier has refused to give me refunds multiple times during simple misunderstandings or for over charging me which has happened over 10+ times since living here. Whenever I get milk from here on a pinch it's spoiled even though the expiration is fine, I think they forget to refrigerate. Also, they charge an INSANE amount of up-charge for cheap items and never have clear pricing, so it's easy for them to up-charge or "mess up" pricing.

I've been going here on and off since I was a kid. We used to get our goodies here.4-stars for stocking Kinder Surprise Chocolate Eggs (they are the equivalent of Cracker Jacks. Toy surprise in the candy). These are sorta hard to find in the Bay Area.I also love their ice cream section.

This place is totally rock solid. They're everything the other liquor stores aren't. They keep regular hours, they take credit cards, they're always well stocked. I swear, the beer selection is HUGE. If you can't find seasonal beer like Pyramid Snow Cap at Safeway, they've got it. I usually just make a bee-line for the beer, but I took a good look b'around yesterday and they've got like twenty kinds of cheese, all sorts of good snacks in jars and can. Oh, the candy selection is off the hook! Try the mini gummy frogs. Or sour octopusses. And I don't understand how it's possible, but if I go a certain way, it's a downhill sk8 almost all the way. So when Big 'Toine up the street is being a little too shady or is just plain out of everything, this is where I go to get my Brass Monkey. Remember those from highschool? I had one yesterday, they're still delicious.

Really enjoyed my experience here. Staff was helpful and the place was really stocked; I found some fun new chocolate to try. Not my thing but I saw a bitcoin machine which is kinda cool. Overall, it has what you need and is way faster than going to a bigger place like Safeway.

There's a 20% service charge added for all cards that they do not disclose to you. They also will not refund you if you ask to pay in cash afterwords. Shady business practice and terrible customer service.

Be careful when you buy packaged products and always check for expiration dates. I got food poisoning from their expired chocolate.
