Came here on a Thursday evening and there were plenty of tables available. My friend and I got different menus with different numbering and different prices, so that was a bit confusing. The servers weren't super attentive but we didn't need much attention after the food came out. I loved the beautiful murals on the walls. In terms of toppings provided, I loved the giant container of slaw that they give you for the table and you could take as much as you wanted. The sauce was a bit thin and not as flavorful as I liked.I got two revuelta pupusas with the combo of rice and beans. The food came out in about 15 minutes. I loved the flavor and crispiness. I prefer beans that are a little thicker in texture but these were still tasty. The dish definitely hit the spot. My friend recommended I try the chicharron pupusas next time which sounds delicious, will try when I come next time!

Sin haber probado las pupusas este lugar se tardó una eternidad en sacar mi orden, la hice online y el señor dijo 30 min espera... hemos esperado 1 hora por 4 pupusas! Mal servicio al cliente.

Good if you're in the area and craving pupusas. Like most restaurants in the Excelsior, not worth going out of your way.THE WAITNone on a Monday around 11:30am; they were empty. 45 minutes later they had several other tables.THE SERVICEIncredibly slow for a pupuseria! I was hoping to be in and out in 30 minutes, but our food took a solid 20 minutes, even after I said we were in a rush. THE COSTPricey for the quality. $22.19 before tips for lunch for two (a lunch combo plus 3 pupusas).THE FOOD* Zucchini/Cheese Pupusa - 3 stars* Chiccharone/Cheese Pupusa - 3.5 starsIn each of my pupusas, the cheese was very rubbery. Outside did have a nice crisp.

Would I come back: I would if someone else wanted to go. Food:Tamales de pollo: 3/5 - This was the first time I've had tamales and it was pretty good. Just wish the ratio of meat to starch was better. It was quite starchy.Pupusa de queso: 3/5 - I can't say that I was a super fan. I think possibly cause the base is very doughy. Again I think it probably can be a little thinner to offset the starch.Carne Desilada: 4/5 - Now this I would order again. I liked the flavor on the meat and eggs. Truly tasty in my mind. Also a big plantain person so I'd say yes to this dish again.Service: 3.5/5 - The waitstaff were nice. I didn't get the right dishes...perhaps my Spanish is that bad...thankfully the ones I did get were tasty. I'd also say that the service is slow so be sure you are patient with how long it takes to get the food.Ambiance: 3/5 - It's very casual place. Plenty of tables though you may be sitting communally if in the center.

I'm very impressed. Their pupusas de arroz are delicious. Lots of flavors and not too much masa.I ordered empanadas de leche and they were also delicious. The "leche" was just the right texture as it should be. Platano just right sweet and soft.I've also ordered pasteles Salvadoreños and they are filled with shredded chicken not like the original pork and potato filled but they were good. Different but good. I was pleasantly surprised they didn't add the pupusa curtido to the pasteles like most places do. Pasteles come with cabbage, sliced tomatoes, radishes, lemon wedge and salsa.Definitely ordering again. Highly recommended. To the business- Don't for the sugar for the empanadas on to go orders. Please keep the cook you have now and give them a raise! I've ordered at least four times in the last 30 days. Great flavor. Gracias.

Very upset with this eating establishment especially during this Coronavirus pandemic. I wore a face shield into this place. None of the owners were wearing them; even though they had a full box laying on top of the bar. I was sent down the street to get cash from a store that gave me change. This store said this restaurant sends people to them a couple of times a day. Secondly, when I got home with my food my pupusas were burnt. I had to ask the cook for the curtito & salsa tomate. This stupid (half Latina) Gringa does understand Spanish & the food. The lady just laughed realizing that I knew my stuff! The food tasted horrible what I could eat. I got a bad case of diarrhea! Run don't walk away from this eating establishment. Try Rincon Latino on Mission. Their pupusas are phenomenal! I will never step foot into San Vicente Restaurant & Sports Bar again even if the food is free.
