Ramen Kobo Waraku was across the street from out hotel, so we HAD to check it out. I'm so glad we did!The place isn't huge, but it's very cute. It was empty when we arrived, but by the time we finished our meal the restaurant was packed, which speaks volumes. We actually arrived shortly before they opened, but they let us in. Because it was a bit early for dinner, they asked what we'd like to drink. We opted for a bottle of plum wine to tide us over.I can't confirm the ramen we ordered, but suffice to say both of our meals were outstanding. I think everyone knows ramen is ubiquitous in Japantown, but Raman Kobo Waraku serves up some of the best. I'm guessing you won't stop here if you don't care for Ramen. Assuming you do, pick what matches your taste. Trust me, you'll be pleased. If we find ourselves back in Japantown, we will definitely stop here and we highly recommend Ramen Kobo Warakuk.

While at Bon festival on Japantown SF, we dined at Kobo Waraku. I didn't realize that this place ia rather new. The place was pretty crowded because of the festival. We were seated right away but was told the food might take 30min. But in reality they came out in 15min so I was happy about that. Tantan was good but did not taste authentic to me. My husband's tonkotsu was more authentic and tasted better. We ordered geso appetizer and extra noodle for my toddler. The extra noodle was definitely worth it! The service by the male floor staff was great. As he was the only one and so busy at the time. It took a while to get to him, but he was busting his butt the whole time. Once the place got calmer, he started to interact with my kid, which is nice. Overall good experience. I wish I tried their fried rice....it looks very good on pictures.

Ramen is for winners and this ramen definitely kept me on my winning streak high! I got the black garlic deluxe ramen with the pork belly and Chashu. It did not disappoint. The broth could have been more rich but everything else was perfect. The noodles were freshly crafted and plentiful, the seasoned egg was delicious, and the veggies (minus corn cuz I don't like corn) were spot on and just the right amount.

Excellent ramen. The broth was on point and super thick so was the pork belly, so flavorful! Nice and quick service. I was there in the middle of the week so it was not crowded.

Why aren't there photos of the restaurant?Because it is located in Cloud Kitchen!Cloud Kitchen is basically WeWork for restaurants. It allows restaurants to share kitchens using a simple monthly cost. When we went there, it was in a sketchy back alley, filled with DoorDash delivery folks waiting in line to pick up food orders from the Cloud Kitchen counter. The counter was kind of slow, because the iPads they use to find food orders was kind of slow, and there were only 2 iPads. They really should put more staff and iPads in the counter to make the line shorterThe food quality was amazing. The broth is Really RICH in flavor. Really thick. You can tell they cooked the broth for a long time in order to get that thick rich flavor. The ramen noodles were pretty good quality as well. The cost was a bit high, at $12 a bowl. Still worth a try. The only thing is you have to order online, and can't order by calling in. Kind of weird but not that big of a deal. The service is ok. The staff who picked up our call was polite. Only thing is you have to wait in line for the counter for Cloud Kitchen, which is quite slow. Still, the counter staff are friendly.Overall, a nice place to get some tasty ramen!

Best bowl of ramen I've had since shelter in place.Hands down. And it came from an unlikely place that has become a too familiar place for me. I am not into the delivery thing as a. I value my pocketbook too much and b. I like to time my meals, almost too obsessively. As a result, 60 Morris has become like the back of my hand as a pick up spot for several ghost kitchen restaurants. In seeing the name, I wasn't sure whether they are related to a familiar Post Street ramen that I enjoyed many moons ago. The reviews were favorable and, being less than ten minutes from my office, I satisfied a craving for a recent weekday lunch. After studying their menu, I ordered the ramen gyoza combination (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=hcVJ-qPKfpW0Vc8u35Ud5Q&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q), which gives you a choice of ramen, gyoza, and a choice of drink (Crystal Geyser bottled water, Coke, or Sprite). I selected the tonkotsu ramen add spicy level 1 (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=MceXoZWMRugtkLpEZKp58g&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q); I really enjoyed this, especially since the packaging made it easy to eat in a pleasurable way. I poured some broth into the noodles and toppings container while spooning some hot sauce on top. As I ate and drank, I added more broth so the noodles and toppings would not get soggy. The broth was creamy and rich and not at all salty. The gyoza (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=xQh-1Sb4fvkMhLrzgZxnxQ&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q) consisted of five good-sized dumplings along with some hot sauce on the side; I added the soy vinegar pack to further flavor them up. They are fully deep fried so if you are watching your weight, well... just enjoy them for now. Needless to say, I polished this off in a flash and smiled at the end. Again, no comments about service, atmosphere, or logistics under current circumstances. Will I order this again? For sure or maybe I need to take a closer look at the other menu choices. By the way, when I looked at my provided utensils and it listed the Post Street address, it confirmed that they are indeed one in the same.*** My pandemicaversary review since it was my best bowl of noodle meal in the past year, per Carmina R. (https://www.yelp.com/user_details?userid=BjtT6RMVXSvf0_rH_htDvg).

Picked up my food during the week. Note that it's on Morris St, off of Bryant st and if you go during rush hour you might be stuck on Bryant St for a while as people are trying to get on the freeway. Tried the tonkotsu ramen. It came with 5 thin slices of pork belly, a whole marinated egg, bean sprouts and black mushrooms. The noodles reminded me of chow mein noodles which I didn't like so much. Maybe I should have microwaved it to be a slightly softer to eat. The broth was light, not salty but could be more porky. The shishito peppers was slightly spicy and I liked the addition of the bonito flakes. The takoyaki was good too. I liked the addition of the red pickled ginger. For pick up or delivery I wouldn't mind ordering the ramen again, but I've had better tonkotsu ramen in the city.

I wanted a snack and found out this place has takoyaki on the menu. I love that this place packs more than one piece of octopus in each one. It was tasty and price is right at under $5 for 5 pieces. Located in a cloud kitchen in a sketch area, but the takoyaki was good. I took it home and put it in the airfryer for a few minutes and it made it even better. Would love to come back to try their ramen and other menu items.
