Really great place for a Mexican fix. Obviously you can get a lot of great Mexican food in other neighborhoods but this is my favorite Mexican food spot in the Richmond. I typically opt for quesadillas in any Mexican food spot and theirs is top notch. I ordered the nachos last time and it was also super good. Super cute spot that you should give a try if you are craving Mexican.

Family-run Mexican restaurant located on Geary and 23rd Ave. Across the street from St. Monica Church and very close by to Tommy's Mexican Restaurant. A little ballsy as Tommy's been in the neighborhood for a while, but I see them as more tequila bar than food, plus Que Chulada is more day-time and Tommy's open later. We recently dined in and had some yummy street tacos, fajitas. Previously we tried Chile Relleno and break burritos. Service was friendly.

I just had a nice dinner with my parents here and this is a good Mexican place to eat at . The food here is amazing . The Chili Relleno was out of this world. The service was friendly and the ambiance was nice too. I definitely recommend people try this place out if they are in the mood for some Mexican food . 5 stars

This family-owned restaurant is such a gem in the Richmond. The food is amazing and flavorful. You can taste the love they put into the food. I also liked that they had a movie playing in the background.

This little spot has been my partner and my hidden gem for a year or so now. A small family owned business that has the feeling of friends serving you great homemade food. It can be slightly pricey, although when it comes to delicious food, a slightly higher price point doesn't bother me, and my regular Grilled Chicken Street Tacos with the guacamole and pico-de-gayo on the side is truly the best taco I've EVER had, and that's saying a lot since I grew up in San Diego. All of this being said, the service we've gotten has been fantastic every time we've come to get takeout here, *however: Here comes the reason my review isn't five stars... Cons: * This is a family run business, and sometimes they don't answer their phone at all. You just have to drive by to check if they're open, and on Geary that can be a bit annoying.* The hours of operation aren't consistent. And that's not a super huge deal to me. The hours of operation on Apple Maps, Google and Yelp aren't reliable, lading in to the next point and the reason why:* They will often close up before 7pm, which is completely their prerogative, but a tad bit disappointing when I'm craving delicious tacos and at 7:15 on a Sunday evening they are already closed up. Truly, other than this one aspect of the business, everything about this spot is FANTASTIC. To me, these small issues of inaccurate hours and the inability to call ahead to order to-go are an understandable quirk for a fairly-new family run business in the city. If it weren't for those very small issues, I would've given them another 5 star rating, and honestly I wish a 4.5 star were an option! But please, if you were wanting to try this awesome little hidden gem, please do if they are open! The food is absolutely the best, and the reason I don't mind the inconvenience of odd hours. This place is a 5-star in my heart, but having to be objective and honest, I have to give it a 4-star for the inconvenience that others might not be so forgiving of. I still love you, Qué Chulada! And I'll keep coming back!!

Neighborhood place. Lots of to-gos. Happy cinco de mayo. Was looking for a place. Sunday free parking was great. Saw two people who biked there and locked up their bikes in front. Pay and order and sit down. Simple menus. Tacos and burritos and chicken enchilada. Quesobarria fried. No wet burrito. Asada, grilled beef, cubed very small. Carnitas , pork. Barria. I got everything asada burrito. Hugh. So hungry, ate three-fourths. There was mushy rice and it was salty. Wasn't asked what kind of beans. Just given refried beans. I don't think there is a choice. The second dish was asada nachos. Lots of peppers and Mozzarella cheese. Chips were good. There was no complimentary chips. The sauce is in the refrig. Please ignore the yelp menu prices. Not accurate.

My friend and I popped into this very adorable hole in the wall Mexican restaurant on Geary Street in the Richmond called Que Chulada for a quick bite. The vibes were very relaxed inside, it is small but had a good amount of tables and could host groups. It was kid friendly, there are crayons for children and high chairs. It is owned by a husband and wife duo who are very hard-working and kind. They were attentive and helpful. I ordered the super veggie tacos without cheese and my friend ordered the Quesabirria Tacos. Those were a huge hit, he licked his plate clean! I didn't pick up too much flavor in my super veggie tacos but maybe that is what I should've expected by ordering that without cheese plus I wasn't very hungry, so I would love to come back and try some more items! Definitely recommend! Everything came out very quickly and it was a calm/quiet environment. Exactly what we needed.

This is my new favorite burrito place in the Richmond District. I give them all five stars, although it's not a fancy schmancy place, I felt comfortable waiting for my order. The guy at the counter and the cook were both nice and friendly. When I took a first bite of the super al pastor burrito, I knew it was special. Even though the first bite was mostly the top of the tortilla, some rice and salsa, I could smell the smokiness coming right through. The meat was flavorful, the beans as well, and rice was perfectly cooked. Through every bite I enjoyed how flavorful and smoky this burrito tasted. This is is the best neighborhood burrito place, hands down, and I've tried every single one in the Richmond district. Next time , I'm trying the birria burrito. Yum!

I come here almost exclusively for the street tacos. I honestly believe it's an insane amount of food for the price. Carnitas is my choice every time. Extremely tasty, filling, and consistent. Mind you this is a family owned restaurant. Sometimes they will close early. Sometimes they might not be open.. but the service is always good and they're always friendly. When they're busy they may not pick up the phone. These things happen!! Lots of seating for dine-in. Good food and good people here.
