Stopped in and got Curry lamb and butter chicken. Be aware the serving is large. Because I was alone they sent my order out in to go boxes and I dined in and took my leftovers back to my hotel. The curry was delicious. I enjoyed the butter chicken it was exactly how i wanted it. Goat was good but a little too mild for my tastes. My pne disappointment was the naan was a little too bready for my liking. I like a flatter bread and this one was slightly too fluffy for my liking. The dinning room is typical of a casual dining area. I do like the self service area where plates and silverware are stored. This style of dining made it easier for me to eat there and take my leftovers back to my hotel. But great food overall.

We visited this place back in 2016 or 17 while one of our trips to the city. It was a really cold day so we decided to eat something indoors and something spicy. Yelped for an Indian place and this showed up at walking distance so we walked upto it. Upon locating, we found it was on a busy street and had nice seating indoors. We went in and were seated promptly as it was around 1:30pm, which is not a busy time usually for lunch. We ordered chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and biryani. Everything was great but we loved tikka masala and naan of all the items. They had a variety of appetizers and desserts but we just had big main course. Service was quick and servers were very attentive. Place was really clean so we enjoyed eating there. Highly recommended if you are in the neighboorhood and looking for a quick bite to eat.

I have not been here in a long time, but this is a nice and not too expensive place for good, tasty Indian food and a good mango lassi.

We tried Punjab Kabab House in the Tenderloin, close to Union Square, for lunch Tues 3/20/18 after noticing Little Delhi was closed.FREE hot chai, I asked and we can help ourselves. I liked it. They have lunch special so that was good. We both got the Tandoori and curry for lunch $10.95. It took quite a bit of time, I think because of the chicken tandoori, if you get the other dishes it looks like it's faster. The combo had a big piece of chicken tandoori leg and thigh pretty tasty, rice, scoop of chickpeas curry, and either lamb or chicken curry. I got the lamb curry, it had 2 small pieces of lamb, I thought was so-so, but the sauce was good. Brother got chicken curry and he said was only 1 piece.Bunch of regular naan given, was tasty enough. Ask for the 2 sauces: chutney and tamarind. Diners next to us asked for no rice and extra roti so that's an option there. You can charge it. One unisex bathroom in the back on the left.

This place has a great lunch special! I had the special with lamb curry, naan, rice and chicken tandoori and it all came out well! The curry was flavorful, the naan was soft and warm, the rice was well cooked and the chicken tandoori was well seasoned and enjoyable. It was an overall great choice, especially for the lunch special price of around $12.

I really enjoyed this place - authentic and everything is fresh and great atmosphere. The smells from the kitchen will keep you guessing all the time. Great menu with great variety. Service is quick and with a smile. Had the grill mix, 3 different kinds of nan and chicken masala and it was so good ! The tea that is offered is worth it (get some) and don't let me start with the deserts :) I enjoyed this place and I am sure that you will too.

I would consider myself an Indian cuisine Connoisseur... And with that being said this place is awesome!!! Perhaps one if the best Indian spots in SF. I would definitely recommend the kabobs and their chicken tiki is the best in town no doubt. The lamb tiki is good too but a little too lamby for my taste. Yes it's not the best neighborhood but trust me it's worth it!!! I always get 2-3 plates and one is always the chicken tiki with the others always being something new and I am always stuffed and in heaven!

I ordered the tandoori fish and it was delicious and tasty. Definitely I will comeback. So five stars for the fish. The only they have one problem for someone like me. They don't have salad. They should add salad for their menu. The waiter (Zuhaib) was so friendly. 5 stars for him. Also they to make the price and f the fish $12 instead $13 because when you add tax and tip will reach $16. Anyway I liked and they waiter was so friendly

Do not let the surrounding areas prevent you from coming here. Despite the area being pretty sketch and the restaurant not looking like a 5 star, the food was wonderful. Greeted and sat quickly. We ordered the chicken tikka masala, garlic naan and lamb kebabs. CTM was absolutely amazing. The sauce was creamy but not heavy, the chicken was cooked well and the spice was there but not overbearing. The lamb kebabs were unfortunately a little dry but the sauces available came in handy. And of course naan was great, especially with the curry. Would venture here again for sure.
