Have been ordering take out from this restaurant over 10 times and the quality of the food items has been consistently good. The portion size is good and there are a wide variety to choose from. The most important thing for me is that their poke items are fresh and the food prepping area is clean. I hope the owner can make some improvements on the white rice as they are sometimes too hard for my taste.

I come here often because it's located next to the apartments. Compared to some other poke places, they are pricey. They charge for pineapple, avocado, tamago, and soft egg. I've gone to some poke places that includes crab mix in their bowls, but pokebola makes you choose it as a protein option. They lightly play pop music so it's not super loud. There's a table to the right of the door and some seating near the windows. Probably can fit max of 9-10 people. Seems more of a grab and go place. Honestly, I enjoyed my bowls last year (I always order in person). They were filled with lots of fish and seemed pretty fresh. Recently, the bowls have been subpar. Not enough fish is in my bowl. I had really fresh fish about a month ago, but my most recent one did not feel fresh. You can order your bowls like chipotle (pick your items on the spot) or fill out a piece of paper (I usually do this).

Pokebola has been a go-to lunch spot for me, but it has its ups and downs. On a positive note, the poke bowls are often good, with the fish usually tasting fresh. However, there have been times when the fish seemed a bit freezer-burned, which was disappointing. The portion size depending on who is working can skew more towards rice, and sometimes overshadow the fish and toppings. The prices have climbed noticeably over the last few years, which might not be ideal if you're keeping an eye on your budget. On the service front, the staff is generally friendly and quick to serve, though it's important to plan your visit, as they sometimes close early, which can catch you off-guard.The ambiance is simple and straightforward. While the restaurant is clean and well-lit, the neighborhood can be a bit unpredictable, with the occasional incident of someone casually taking pastries or other items. Despite this, the spot remains a decent choice for a quick meal, with enough seating for a brief stop.Overall, Pokebola offers a convenient poke experience without too much fanfare. While not the best I've had, it does the job when I'm craving poke and don't want to wander too far. Just keep in mind the potential for a less-than-perfect meal or unexpected closures if you're planning a visit.edit: Recently also the unexpected closures (closes somewhere between 820-850) are frustrating

Pokebola is one of the best poke spots I've tried in the city so far. The shop is a few blocks away for my office and I am here for lunch at least 3 times a week. The portions are super filling and fresh and I can't get enough.

Rotten jalepenos and day old egg and grey color spam... paid 25 dollars for slop. Used to be my favorite poke place. Quality control is all downhill. Yuck.

This is a small to-go business. The service is kind of like a create-your-own poke bowl concept with other entree options as well! I got the poke bowl with salmon and seared salon, and it was delicious. It was a good price for the size, and there were so many free toppings to choose from!

The first time I came here, I tried their salmon bowl. It was overly salty, fish skins and all attached. I thought I'll give them a try again and find myself enjoying their burned end brisket bowl. I also want to try their shrimp tempura. Even though I don't eat raw seafood, there are plenty of cooked bowls to try. I love the different options of rice, sides and salads you can add to your bowl. I'll be back!

It was surprisingly pouring everywhere. For the drought-ridden land, I'm betting it was heaven. For my friend, biking near Sausalito, it was the exact opposite. Two flat tires later, I received a call to help a friend out just as I ordered my poke bowl from Pokebola. I quickly rushed over to Civic Center to grab my food - the surrounding area is ok. Not much going on, but once you go inside, I was instantly greeted by the worker who sent my on my way. Service, in a minuscule interaction, showed to be great.I ended up picking up my friend and seeing amazing parts of SF that I hadn't yet seen. But once I got home, tired and ready to eat, the food hit. And it HIT. Really great poke, good portions, and I couldn't even finish it. This place is a great choice for Poke and I would recommend it for anywhere else to get.

Another pretty standard poke place , nothing too exciting but pretty solid Compared to poke house , their small portion is about 70% percent in size but the price is also about 30% cheaper so that balances . They also don't give you the imitation crab salad scoop on the house like in poke housei was bummed to see that they didn't have the zucchini noodles base so i went with the kale salad base which was not bad at all. all the toppings are standard w the exception of the kimchi which was a great addition all together a descent place if you're ij the mood for poke
