Per Diem - Financial District

Came with a friend for Valentine's Day dinner! We order the wild mushroom pasta, truffle fries, and shrimp cocktail to share! We also got the strawberry tiramisu, and I got the non alcoholic amalfi coast drink! Everything was delicious!The interior was well-decorated, and I really liked the vibes! The servers were also really nice and attentive!Food summary:Wild mushroom pasta 9/10Very creamy and rich! The egg as well as the mushrooms were great, and the pasta was cooked Al dente!Shrimp cocktail 9/10Very delicious - a typical shrimp cocktail starter!Truffle fries 10/10Good truffle flavors, crispy, and with a sprinkle of Parmesan!Amalfi coast drink 9/10I loved the color, and it tasted just like an actual alcoholic spritz :)Strawberry tiramisu 10/10I loved this! The cream was soft and fluffy, the lady fingers were delicious, and the berries were all very fresh!Overall, would definitely come back again!

I don't normally leave reviews, but my experience here was disappointing enough to share. My friend and I stopped by hoping to enjoy drinks and a nice evening. Unfortunately, the service was so terrible that it ruined the experience.Our server barely acknowledged us and spent most of their time chatting with friends instead of taking care of customers. After waiting far too long just to get a drink order in, we decided to skip food or additional drinks altogether. With such poor service, it didn't seem worth spending more of our evening--or money--here.To top it off, the two drinks we did order somehow amounted to $60, which felt absurd given the lack of attention or care we received. Needless to say, I won't be back. I'd rather take my business to a place that values its customers.

The inside was super cute and gave a rustic historic vibe! I didn't expect it to be 2 stories. Also this is a Michelin guide restaurant (but it was super easy to get a resy). I went with a friend who I haven't seen in over a year so we were talking a lot, catching up, and having a good time but the waiter kinda kept rushing us to order..... so that was kinda annoying. Minus 1 star for that. Food wise: The crab arancini was so soft and warm inside they melt so perfectly in your mouth wow. They were perfectly fried and the aioli sauce made them 10000x better. Definitely my favorite dish of the night. The Brussels sprouts are always a hit. They were so flavorful and crispy and had a generous amount of Parmesan so that was nice. I didn't want to be basic and get the margherita pizza, so I tried the summer squash flatbread, which an interesting dish. I couldn't really taste much of the squash part but I love goat cheese so I thought it was yummy. Really refreshing tbh and worth the try. Glad I got that over the margherita!

Nice menu selections and quite tasty. Service was engaging as well. We held a small company party there, very nice atmosphere.

Pricey bite with ambience just outside of Montgomery BART station. Good for a nice dinner with new coworkers or catch up with old friends. We ordered the mushroom pasta and ahi tartare with surprised me in a good way. Love their cocktails!!

TLDR:Came for a group dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the food, ambiance, and service! Of all the things we tried, I'd recommend the roasted chicken and lava cake the most. ------FOOD:1. Roasted Chicken (5/5): Not dry at all, really flavorful, loved the tomato based sauce it came with.2. Lava Cake (5/5): A delicious dessert that really hits the spot. Your classic chocolate lava cake with a fruit sauce / drizzle on top paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top3. Rustic Meatballs (4.5/5): A great meatball dish, though ever so slightly denser than I would prefer 4. Caesar Salad (4.5/5): Honestly was really surprised by how much I liked this Caesar. I thought the dressing was great and flavorful.5. Crab Arancini (4/5): I had super high hopes for this but I think the inside is a little dry -- could use some more sauce or melty cheese6. Burrata Toast (4/5): A dessert-y appetizer thanks to the sweetness of the honey drizzle on top. Would have been great if the toast was a little crispier very the soft sourdough, but the overall flavor was unique and folks liked it7. Brussels Sprouts (4/5): Solid, standard sprouts, nothing special8. Mushroom Gnocchi (3.5/5): The truffle oil was good and I like the concept of the mushroom pasta, but the gnocchi itself was too soft and didn't have a chew factor. Tasted more like balls of mashed potatoes? If the gnocchi had more of a bite, this would have been a great dish!9. Halibut (3.5/5): A little dry10. Semifreddo (2.5/5): Not what I expected based on the description and unfortunately not really for me11. Tiramisu (1/5): Didn't taste like tiramisu at all, and honestly the mascarpone cream tasted sour like it had gone bad. Hopefully the desserts they gave us were one-off and this dessert doesn't usually taste like this...------ENVIRONMENT / AMBIANCE:* Despite the unassuming exterior, the inside of this restaurant is cute! It gives me New York vibes honestly, and the upstairs dining area had lots of space and overlooked the rest of the restaurant downstairs* There were lots of people there who looked like they had just gotten off of work together and grabbing dinner / drinks -- this has a great vibe and location for that------SERVICE: * What you'd expect and perfectly good!

Reservations made by phone for lunch on a Monday about a week in advance. I got text updates, and it was $25 per person cancellation fee if we cancelled less than 24 hours in advance.This is a nice spot, definitely the type for business lunches, a bit dark and serious in its decor, medium noise level, plenty of space downstairs and upstairs. The service was professional and efficient. Our group of 5 was in and out in an hour.* Wild Mushroom Pasta - 4.5 starsI usually only like red sauce pasta, and I usually don't like mushrooms. But the images for this one actually looked rather tasty with the fancy mushrooms and the egg, and I didn't regret my decision. This was perfectly flavored and nicely balanced; just a tad on the oily side.

This pasta was tasty! I added chicken for it to be extra filling which was perfect, I was pretty hungry :)It was a little oilier at the bottom so it was hard to eat but otherwise it has a good cheese flavor which was very delicious!There's quite a lot of searing especially for big parties, there's a bar downstairs I believe.Our waiter was super kind and attentive to our needs.

Went for lunch and had the best experience. Mireya, our server, was the nicest taking care of us and explaining everything about the menu. I fully recommend this place.
