Best quality meat, poultry & seafood around in town.I've been shopping at Pape Meats for over 30 years. They will cut whatever you want and freeze wrap in sealed plastic wrap,They use to cook the pre-seasoned prime ribs, pork ribs, chicken on a rotisserie before Covid. Don't know if they still offer the service at no extra charge. The only thing that there's no itemized receipt, just a total.

My parents have been going here for years now, well over a dozen years at this point. Pape's meats have always been fantastic, but this last time was a big bust. They purchased a 10 pound prime rib roast this year, preordered about six weeks in advance. A prime rib roast is an annual centerpiece for our Thanksgiving dinner right next to the turkey. Sadly, without prompt, multiple people (nearly half) noticed and mentioned the quality of the meat this year was not the same. It was nowhere near as tender as before, and the meat taste just wasn't there. The recipe used to marinate and cook the roast was the same one I have been using for the past 10+ years.A week later, my parents purchased a prime rib roast from Costco for Christmas dinner. It was an impromptu purchase during a shopping trip. This roast was subsequently frozen for about three weeks prior to being prepared for Thanksgiving. Not only was this roast far better (both in tenderness and taste), but it was also over 30% cheaper! The Costco roast was also only Choice grade, not even the typical Prime grade we purchase. This was prepared and cooked exactly the same way as the Thanksgiving roast. The universal sentiment is that this roast was far more tender and meaty tasting than the one from Pape this year. We're probably going to give Pape another chance given all these years of fantastic meats from them, but this was a huge disappointment this year.

The meat selection is impressive, featuring everything from high-quality steaks to house-made sausages. You can really tell they prioritize quality; the meats are always fresh and perfectly cut.The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, ready to help with recommendations and cooking tips. I tried their house smoked baby back ribs, and it was a hit at my casual dinner party--super tender and packed with flavor. One thing to note is that the parking situation can be a bit tricky during peak hours so be prepared to circle the blocks. But once you're inside, it's definitely worth the visit.

I have been going to Pape meat for a couple of years now. I usually grab chicken from there, probably the best place to grab chicken or beef (and possibly some seafood). They can always debone any of the meat. Service is always friendly and quick there. Usually there are lines to get beef, especially around holidays but chicken side is usually quick :) They even have beef fat and duck fat there

Pape's is incredible, from the range of meats, luxury included, to the service. Today I sampled wine while waiting for my bone marrow and A5.

Oh they got meats alright and seafood as well, if you love steaks, this would be a spot you will want to visit, they got ribeyes bone, boneless, flanks, tritip, tomahawks even waygu, all moderately prices, I was able to pick up 2 of there ribeyes bone in and 1 waygu ribeye boneless. All of these 3 were prepped the same just basic salt and pepper cooked at a meager 410 for 15min each weighted close to 1lb a piece, I prefer my steaks alive but everyone else in the household likes medium rare, all these steak were made perfect. The meats are always a priority when making steaks, usually get pack yes of 3 at costco, most of the time very good but buying from this establishment you can see difference in the graininess of the meats, the dry aged ribeyes were large in size medium fat, the waygu was more on the fatty side when cooked you can taste the difference. So many cuts to choose from, some even preseasoned, definitely will have to try their waygu tomahawk next time probably for a special occasion. The establishment is very clean, neat, organized and the staff is very helpfulmeats ***** very large selectionprice $$-$$$$ depends on what you are gettingservice ***** they vacuum seal the meats on request, if not wrapped in paper will do, very helpful staffambiance ***** neat, clean, organized, well lit

Great selection of meat, friendly service. Visited for my first time while in the area and picked up a few basic cuts of meat. There are some high end selections available if you are looking to make some wagyu moves!Luckily it wasn't busy when I was there, so there was lot parking available and who's turn it was to be served was not too confusing. They should probably have some sort of number system. I could see things getting a little tricky if it was really busy.

Great customer service! Prices aren't extremely high especially compared to today's markets. And the meat and seafood selection are great!
