Pacific Market is a great place to stock up on Asian staples, fresh produce, and a wide selection of seafood and meat. The variety in their seafood section is impressive, with plenty of fresh whole fish, shellfish, and live seafood options. The meat department is equally well-stocked, carrying cuts that are sometimes harder to find in mainstream grocery stores. Inside, everything is neatly organized and consistently well-stocked, making it easy to find what you need without much hassle. However, while the shopping experience inside is solid, the exterior of the store tells a different story. The parking lot is spacious, but it's riddled with potholes and cracks, making it a challenge to navigate, especially after rain when puddles form. The building itself could use some serious maintenance--there's noticeable mold on the roof, and moss is starting to grow, giving it an unkempt look. It's clear that the store needs more attention from management to keep up with competitors. One area that really needs improvement is the checkout system. The registers feel outdated, and updating them could help speed up transactions, especially during peak hours. Additionally, the lack of a food court is a big miss. Competing markets like 99 Ranch, Kukje, and H Mart have all stepped up their game with in-store food courts offering hot meals and snacks, making them more of a one-stop destination. With Jagalchi opening soon in Serramonte, Pacific Market risks falling further behind if they don't modernize and add more value to the shopping experience.Despite these issues, I still have a soft spot for this market. Walking inside gives me nostalgic vibes, reminding me of the supermarkets I grew up with in Boston's Chinatown. I'd love to see management put in the care and investment needed to revitalize this place--it has so much potential to thrive with just a few key improvements.

I visited here for the first time on a Saturday around noon and had no trouble finding parking. The supermarket was clean, organized and well stocked. Price is competitive with 99 Ranch. Although it seems everything priced was a "Special." Produce was also of good quality and I found some produce that I haven't seen at other Asian supermarkets before. If I lived in the area I would come here over 99 Ranch, since parking is easier and check out lines were also shorter for a weekend.

Everyone has a go-to grocery store and this one has been for years when it comes to Asian ingredients. True, the veggies sometimes can be a little more fresh but for the most part, everything from produce to packaged goods, they are well stocked. Sure there is another location that is bigger and nicer at Westborough but this one is easier and faster to navigate because of its size. No frills but does it job.

As a Hawaii born and raised, when I entered this store, all I could say was that I didn't have to go to any other grocery market except for this store here in South San Francisco! They have all the food ingredients we use to cook. With the exception of Hawaiian Salt. The cashier was friendly, with a good impression for my first time. This store is clean, and the produce, meats, dairy, and frozen areas are neat and clean. This store definitely will be my go-to market when I'm visiting throughout the year.

This place is our go-to Asian grocery store that has mostly everything you're probably looking for. My "meh" rating is for the customer service. Every time we come in, my partner always gets stopped by someone because they want him to check in his bag. It's not even a big bag. It's a small duffle bag. This is a ridiculous policy especially because they don't enforce it for everyone. After being asked, we've seen many older Asian ladies with backpacks and large purses. You need to enforce it for everyone or don't even bother!

Love that I can get all my Asian foods here. Fresh produce and good selection. Many options for the things I want and haven't found anything they were ever out of stock.

Don't buy the prepackaged meat here. I bought 2 packs of ribs ($7+ each) and the meat is super dry & tough. Really bad quality meat here. Check the expiration date on everything you buy here. They had a frozen bag of tocino that expired last month right in front.

This location has awful customer service. I bought a quart of milk that had a sign for $4.39. the register rang it as $5.39. of course, the cashier called a supervisor who then called a sale floor employee. Employee validated and even brought the sign to the cashier. But no, another supervisor came and said, the numbers are not the same. I told him that I know nothing about the numbers he's referring to, all I know is that there's a sign in front of the milk and his employee even brought the sign up. So I thought they fixed it. I get home and no milk in my bag. What that supervisor did was void the item and NOT sell me the milk. So guess who I'm calling first thing Monday morning? San Mateo Weights and Measures. For a dollar? Yes, it's the principle, right is right and wrong is wrong.

Pacific Supermarket is a very Racist place.I have been shopping here for three years and it is the only place in south San Francisco that insists on Black people keeping their backpacks before they can go inside to shop. I saw several Asians with large bags shopping today at the El Camino Store and I pointed it out to the manager and.he insisted that I must keep my handbag or leave the store. Why is there CCTV camera or products sensors that can go off if in 2023 I can't take my laptop bag inside the store.I was very humiliated this evening at their El Camino branch and if you are Black please do not shop here ever again . Leave it for the Asians.
