This crust is amazing, crisp but still airy and tender.

There's been a bit of debate on the best pizza spot in SF. I don't really have an a strong opinion on it, but if someone said that Outta Sight is the best pizza in SF, I wouldn't argue against it. (And quite a few people have said that it's the best). The Madonna, which Outta Sight describes as "Our signature pizza - a bit new york cheese, a bit fancy california neapolitan. fresh mozz, aged mozz, marinara, basil, extra virgin olive oil, dry jack." was perfectly salty with a hint of sweetness. Look forward to trying their other pizzas and sandwiches!

Thin slice pizza cravings had me crossing a bridge into SF just to find this gem. Followed the guidance of my spouse and walked into a little place tucked away in the hustle of the big city. Immediately had that feeling we found the right place and once the kind young man behind the counter greeted us . . . wait, take a step back, the slices displayed was enough to make my mouth start to water! Then we paid attention and was welcomed in.Do you like sounds when you eat, not the ambient sounds of conversations echoing off the walls or the rumblings of traffic outside, but the crunch of the crust as you take that first bite . . . the rest of the slice just seemed to disappear. Damn that was good. While the canned beer was tasty, reminded my of my time in Chicago sipping a Daisy Cutter Pale Ale while digging my teeth into a deep dish pie, I so craved a fresh poured locally brewed draft. Can't always get everything you want.

It is a truth universally acknowledged--well, at least in the culinary crevices of my mind--that pizza in urban locales teeming with tourists often lacks distinction, much like a summer fog rolling in without a breeze. But alas, a peculiar media article concerning this establishment reached my eyes, beckoning me to venture forth with great skepticism and a healthy appetite.Upon arrival, I found a trove of slices priced under $7, each boasting the promise of individuality. Yet the marvel truly lies in their happy hour--a time between 4 and 6 o'clock when one may procure two slices for a mere $6 or one slice for $3 fifty (a frugal man's paradise, though with a limit of two slices per soul). Now, I confess: on my third visit, I arrived at the witching hour of 5:45 PM, greeted by a line so long it might rival a Sunday sermon queue in more devout corners of the country. Logistical doubt clouded my mind, but lo, a benevolent pizza maker emerged to define the official end of the happy hour line. That act of courtesy was enough to lift my spirits and give me faith in humanity--at least in the pizza-making sector. The slices themselves? Oh, a delight to both the palate and the soul! You may opt for a thin crust light as a morning breeze, or indulge in a Detroit-style cheesy crust that embraces decadence. Vegan slices, seasonal creations (pears on pizza, imagine that!), and fresh basil await the discerning diner, with a flourish of shredded cheese to crown your masterpiece should you so choose. And word reaches me of their expansion to Chinatown--a venture I wish them well in, for such gastronomic generosity deserves success. Moreover, their budget-friendly offerings are a balm for the neighborhood, where even a $3.50 hour slice can feel like a small act of grace. In summation, if you are of the opinion that pizza ought to be more than sustenance--that it should sing a hymn of flavor and invention--then you must make haste to this Tenderloin treasure. Your stomach, your wallet, and perhaps even your sense of wonder shall thank you.

Thin and crunchy - def the best slice I've had in the city aside from Oakland :-) It's served piping hot and reminds me of NY pizza done right. They only had limited options when I went on Super Bowl Sunday but would love to try the other flavors next time. Place is clean and has decent seating which is a good plus!

My partner and I were excited to try the #1 ranked pizza spot in SF, and Outta Sight did not disappoint! It's a small, no-frills neighborhood pizzeria--perfect for a quick bite or takeout. We started with a slice of pepperoni, loved it so much that we immediately got a second. The flavors, crisp crust, and perfect balance of toppings made it a standout. Service was quick and efficient! Definitely planning to come back for another visit!

My friend saw this Pizza joint pop up in a foodie article and we knew we had to get a slice when in SF! This is a small spot with a few tables that serves yummy NY style pizza. The ambiance is pretty casual and the store is located in the Tenderloin. My hubby pulled over aside while my friends and I went and grabbed a slice.I tried the slice with vodka sauce and pesto. This slice was quite yummy and flavorful and enjoyed every bite! For a quick spot with a savory bite this was a good snack! The service was also fast which was a nice bonus add on.

Got this pizza to go, and even by the time we got back to the house the crust was still so crispy! You can get a bit of the ASMR crunch action! The crust was perfect and it wasn't soaked in grease like other pizzas would when you leave a slice on the paper plate. When we were done eating the plate itself was pretty dry still compared to others.Only downside, I do think the pizza was a bit salty, more salty to my liking but it was good. I will still eat it, just will need lots of water to wash it all down.

I've passed by this pizza shop like a gazillion times, but I'm usually walking so fast down Larkin in order to avoid potentially unsavory interactions. This place was just a blur until I saw a YouTube video from a local vlogger. He was the young, motor-mouthed slacker type who claimed it was the best pizza in town. Well, that gave me reason to pause on my next Tenderloin sprint. It's actually rather pleasant in here with several round tables and the walls lined with local art and tchotchkes. There was a selection of at least nine pizzas in the lucite display case. I decided to get two slices apparently not requiring two separate paper plates. The first was the $6 Shroom, and proving that simple is usually better, it was a pretty tasty, umami-dense slice (photo: https://yelp.to/49bn_A-7hq).My second slice was more complex, the $5.50 Puttenesca, with capers, red onion, olive, and garlic, slathered with a spicy marinara sauce. The edgy flavor was dampened a bit by an overcharred crust at the bottom (photo: https://yelp.to/Y_TyN9yVCG). Still, the pizza ingredients were top grade and well worth a revisit for the other selections. Now I know there's a reason to stop on Larkin without dialing 911.FOOD - 4 stars...surprising artisan pizza slicesAMBIANCE - 4 stars...more cozy than you'd thinkSERVICE - 3.5 stars...just a quick interaction and fast turnaround TOTAL - 4 stars...outta sight don't mean outta mindRELATED - Exploring the Tenderloin? Pepperoni slice was delicious, as good as they get in Brooklyn. It had a perfect balance between the sweet and salty flavor of the pepperoni and sharpness of the cheese. Wish I had better pictures though - these were taken in our hotel room.
