This spot is a must-visit for Thai food lovers! Not only is the food incredible, but they also offer a free Thai tea if you check in on Yelp when you arrive. The Thai fried rice is one of my all-time favorites, packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The pad Thai is another standout, served with massive prawns. The Gal Manow is also a must try and a unique dish I have never seen at any other Thai spots.

The environment and service are pretty good, and the taste is authenticTom Yum Goong SoupI ordered a large portion, which was quite filling, with seafood, mushrooms, and cabbage. The first bite of sour and spicy taste immediately opened up my taste buds!

tldr awesome thai spot serving up unique thai dishes with big portions, beautiful ambiance and friendly service! this place was really solid! friends and i ordered 4 dishes including the laab gai, pad thai, fried rice, and gai manow...somehow we ended up ordering all chicken dishes.laab gai (2.5/5) perhaps a personal preference but i think pork is a better protein for laab as the chicken can get a bit dry texturally - flavors were citrus forward with a hint of sweetness which were decent but overall dish lacked herbs and would have benefited with more mint, green onions etc the cabbage was a good crunch pad thai (4/5) wow the portion was huge on this and flavors were decently balanced between the sweet, sour, and savory notes. there was ample bean sprouts, green onions, tofu, eggs which gave the dish a good bite and the chicken was really tender! thai fried rice (4/5) this was a really solid rice dish with a good bite in the rice (not too soft or hard), ample ingredients and chicken was tender like the pad thai! it was a great way to balance out the bold flavors of the other dishes. they also give you a fish sauce based dip for the chicken which was interesting but i don't really think was needed gai manow (4.5/5) this was my favorite dish of the night! i am a big sweet and savory girlie so this dish was up my alley. the dressing on the chicken is reminiscent of honey mayo walnut shrimp sauce and the lime slice adds a kick. chicken pancake is literally fried to perfection - the crunch and juiciness is incredible. the chinese broccoli was surprisingly amazing - fried and light it was the perfect accompaniment. overall this dish was really creative and while a bit too sweet, it was an amazing bite! service was great with the servers checking on us and the interior is quite modern. I appreciated that the seating was comfortable. making a resy is easy on google!overall i'll be back! prices are reasonable for the portion you get here and flavors/textures are great for sf. food (4/5)ambiance (5/5)service (4/5)value (4/5)

My friend and I were craving thai but wanted to try a new restaurant in the city. I was recommended by a different friend and decided to give this place a try. We decided to give three dishes a try.Sukho Noodle Soup: 5/5, would definitely come back just for this dish. The broth was so flavorful; tangy, sweet, spicy, umami with plentiful protein ranging from pork belly to charsiu, to ?beef/pork balls. Curry puffs: 4.5/5. Good appetizer, crunchy with good curry flavor. Nothing crazy in regards to new creativity. If I could, i'd try some of the other appetizers they have to offer. Have heard great things about the eggplant.Spicy ribs: 4/5, fell a bit short in my book. The ribs were still tasty, however there were too many flavors imo that didn't quite compliment each other. We also tried a few beers, the lager lao and dark lager lao. Both were great! Service was great. Staff was friendly. Ambiance was nice with detailed attention to cleanliness.

What a pleasant dinner on a quiet Wednesday night. Given, the parking was quite challenging, enjoyed dining at this Thai restaurant. Roomy establishment that's bright inside. Not your typical Thai restaurant as their menu was definitely different from the usual. Don't fret, they do have the usual curries and noodles bit they have dishes that you don't see at your usual Thai restaurants. Gai Manow - pleasantly surpried, you'd imagine eating chicken katsu but the texture was different and that lemon sauce was just yummmHoi Jor - If you enjoy Kikiam's, this is for you! Fried crab rolled in tofu skin! 100%KUNG CHOM JUN - texture was a little off, the sauce was the star!KUNG MAKAM - visually pleasing but i wasn't a big fan. The jumbo prawn was overcooked and it honestly tasted old. Tamarind flavor could have been stronger. We also ordered crab fried rice, pad kee mao, tom kha and all the desserts. Food was 4/5Service 5/5Ambiance 5/5

Oraan is a cute, quiet Thai restaurant with nice decor, a good ambiance for a date. The dishes are not your typical Thai dishes. They take care to add flourishes to their presentation of the dishes, like laying down banana leaves. I've been for dinner and lunch and it hasn't been too busy. All of the dishes are very flavorful, the Gai Manow is a must!Dishes:Gai manow - well-fried chicken patty, doesn't seem Thai but it's my favorite dish here. Crispy Chinese broccoli was really interesting, like fried basil.Kor Moo Tod (Pork shoulder) - really good crispy strips of pork shoulder, comes with lemony fish sauce and sticky rice.Pork noodle soup - had multiple types of pork - crispy pork belly, cha siu, ground pork, and meatballs. The cha siu was really tender. I would eat this first, as the noodles got soft. The broth is a tangy tamarind flavor.Crispy pork belly - had really nice crispy pieces. Sauce was similar to the flavor of a basil chicken.Pad Thai with river prawns - shrimp a little mushy. Portion is pretty big. Steamed seafood in banana leaf - shrimp, squid, fish balls in red curry sauce. Should order a rice to go with this.Thai tea - dark orange and strong

Probably one of my new fav Thai restaurants in San Francisco. Such amazing dishes and so worth the price. Service was fast but did get busy towards peak dinner time even on a weekday so best to make reservations online first. There was not a single dish that we ordered that we didn't like. Highly recommend

My friend and I dined at Oraan for a second time recently and we can confirm that they make THE BEST Pad Thai in San Francisco. A bold statement, we know. The Pad Thai Kung Mae Nam ($22.95) easily serves 2-3 people. A heaping portion of noodles that are packed with flavor and topped with two tender giant river prawns. Another delicious dish we ordered both times was the Makuer Tod ($13.95), a flower-like sliced crispy fried eggplant. Quality was consistent between the two visits. One dish that fell short was the Ka-nom Jean, a mix-it-yourself dish of rice noodles, chicken curry paste, boiled egg, and veggies. Unfortunately the chicken curry paste tasted nothing of chicken and it had an overwhelming medicinal-tasting ingredient that overpowered the dish making it unpalatable. Everyone should honestly come just to try their Pad Thai!

Loved everything we ordered! Papaya salad 5/5 - had a nice spicy kick, love that they gave plenty of cabbage and not just papaya and shredded carrots.Fried eggplant 5/5 - favorite dish that we ordered. Perfectly crispy and not soggy on the inside. Super unique, they took a whole eggplant and sliced it.Curry cups 5/5 - unique, comes in 3 cups. Seafood was good, curry was flavorful. There was one item that we couldn't figure out what it was and had to ask -- it was young coconut!Pork ribs 5/5 - meat was tender, very flavorful. My friend didn't like it too much due to the herb taste, but I liked it a lot because it added a depth to the flavor.Definitely will be returning.

My brother was craving Thai for a casual birthday dinner so I made a reservation here. The restaurant itself was cozy and quaint located right on Geary in inner sunset. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas with a tree and festive lights everywhere. The service was so kind and accommodating and not to mention extremely fast. The menu had items I had never seen tried before- I really recommend the Gai Manow. The chicken was fresh and crispy and the sauce was so creamy and was complimented by the lime so perfectly. The Tom yum soup was exactly what we needed on a cold night. Excited to come back again.
