Olivas Mexican food

Decent food and fairly priced. I've walked by a few times but passed them by. They dont have prices posted. Finally gave them a try. Food is good and not salty. Red salsa is quite unique and smokey- I like it. I'll def try them again.

I thought Popeyes Chicken started to sell boneless chicken wings tacos as a pop up since the food truck was covered with vintage cartoon characters of Popeye and Olive Oyl . Instead it was a food truck for Olivas Mexican Food . The food truck was located on the block between the Daly City and South San Francisco borderlines. As usual I have to conduct a litmus standard test on the burrito ranking against the San Francisco County Mission District burritos . I say they have some if not one of the best super carne asada burritos when it comes to food truck burritos . I am putting them up there with some of the best San Francisco and Oakland Mexican food trucks, night street food vendors, and some brick and mortars. The Super burrito came with good cuts of beef along with avocado , beans ,cheese and rice. Their shrimp quesadilla was tasty and pretty cheesy. They have a variety of food menu items available like caldo (soup) .Olivas Mexican Foods has everything from quesabirria to a plate of salmon, The burrito checks out good after tested and personally examine

This review is specifically for the food truck.Second time I've driven by the corner of King and Callan and saw the truck. Hard to miss with the picture of Popeye and Olive Oil on the side (kids that don't know who they are, ask your folks)! I have time today so I say, "F" it, I'll give em a try.The specials aren't ready for prime time yet so I go with some basics. I get the barbacoa and shrimp tacos. Right off the bat, I'm impressed with the generosity of the meat beautifully stacked atop double corn tortillas! They come garnished with pickled carrots and grilled jalapeño. I squeeze some lime and take a dragon bite! Sooo good! The meat is tender, juicy and seasoned perfectly. The salsa and cilantro level up the already delicious flavor of the barbacoa! So good! I scoop up fallen meat with my pickled carrot and move on to the shrimp. The shrimp comes with pico, salsa and avacado. As I bite in, I realize the mistake I made. The shrimp is plentiful, grilled just right without over cooking, but I definitely should've started with the shrimp which has some more delicate/subtle flavors working for it. I chug down some of my kerns peach drink, and eat some of the carrot in an attempt to cleanse my palate. I dive back in and revel in the sweet/savory and creamy shrimp tacos. Very good.Overall, I recommend this food truck if in the area or if u just stumble upon it while gallivanting around town!

Solid burrito. Got the super with pastor. Good flavor and decent amount of food, chips included is a definite plus. Red salsa was smokey and hot but not too hot so you could enjoy the flavor. Price was reasonable as well. 15 bucks for a large burrito and monster energy drink.

The people are friendly and help me with practicing my Spanish. I have only had the Carne Asada Taco's but I can tell you they are the best tacos I have had in the Bay Area. I am from Northern California (Chico) where a good taco can be find most anywhere. I moved to San Francisco 15 years ago and have only just now find a good taco. It sucks that my office moved, right after I found these guys! I will still make the trip just for the tacos.

Absolutely love this taco truck! The food is delicious, fresh and served with all the fixings. They even have sopes, which are harder to find. The owners are always friendly and provide great service. We love the tacos al pastor, but you can't go wrong with Olivas, everything we have had is so good!

This is the best shrimp ceviche tostada that I've ever had. I asked for it to go and they offered to put the shrimp and toppings in a separate container for me, I believe so that the tostada and chips don't get soggy before I get a change to eat it but I just ate it very close by. There's so much flavor. I ordered it with everything. It had either mayo or sour cream on the bottom and then the mango shrimp ceviche, avocado and 2 other sauces on top. It was spicy and sweet. They don't have prices on their menu but this was well worth the $6 that I paid. I have ordered this multiple times since it's so good. They have come stools outside if you want to eat there but no tables. There is a nice grassy area in front too with tree shade. Nice quiet area.
