Came here for lunch with a couple of friends and really enjoyed the sushi here! We were craving sushi and ended up sharing the unagi tempura. For sushi we ordered separately getting the 8 piece nigiri tasting, tuna nigiri tasting, salmon lover roll and finished with the pistachio crepe cake. I loved the tuna nigiri tasting which came with otoro, chutoro, and akami nigiri along with a tuna maki. For the price, the quality was really good and the fish tasted very fresh. I also tried the salmon lover roll which had a good amount of fish and everything tasted as good as they looked! The only disappointing thing we ordered as the crepe cake which was described as pistachio but really black sesame cream with a few pistachios on top. I also thought that the cream was a bit too thick in between each crepe slice which made the cake pretty heavy. Overall a good spot for sushi and a casual date night! We ended up going to Tadaima next to for the fruit sando which was a much better dessert option!

We might have found our new favorite Japanese restaurant! We ordered their toro tartar, uni toast, and saba from their signature dishes, and they were all incredibly good. Considering the price, the quality is outstanding. For starters, we also tried the monkfish liver and chawanmushi. For rolls, we chose the salmon and tuna. Don't forget to get their panna cotta dessert, which comes with Tadaima's matcha cream on top. Btw, they also offer omakase for $95, but we opted to order à la carte from their menu, and we loved it because we were able to try different unique dishes.Definitely coming back again!!! Plus will try the matcha place Tadaima besides it too.

A Japanese restaurant gem in the Mission! They have a range of signature dishes including dons (rice bowls), starters, to rolls. The food also came out so quickly so this is the place to go if you're also in need of a quick meal without a long wait! The agedashi tofu was a highlight & so juicy! Host and server was extremely attentive and patient. They even helped us switched tables after we sat down already since we wanted to be by the window. Would have to come back to try more menu items.

We made reservations off OpenTable to come celebrate a special occasion. Upon checking in, the staff already had a table ready with a congratulation card set up which was super sweet of them. My partner and I both ordered the Omakase experience which includes appetizers, 10 piece nigiri, and chawanmushi. We also ordered the wagyu spoon to try. The staff brought us complementary plum wine to celebrate. Food: For the nigiri, we were given a handful of fish recommended by the chef that included: hamachi, bluefin tuna, red snapper, artic char, halibut, Spanish mackerel, and snow crab. My favorite was the sake toro and fatty tuna with uni. The flavor combination was so delicious, with every bite melting into your mouth. The fish quality was fresh and you could tell they put effort into designing the concept of each piece. The chawanmushi was a nice touch at the end. It provided a warm dish to conclude the meal. It was topped with truffle oil that added an elevated flavor.Service: The staff were very attentive, always being mindful of clearing our plates and refilling our water if it got halfway down. They're super nice and knowledgeable if you need recommendations. Interior: It's a cute shop in the mission that has a table in the back for a larger party. Most of the seating was either smaller tables or the bar. Overall, given the value and price point for dinner and drinks, I would say Okaeri is my new favorite recommendation. It's elevated compared to other omakase options; however, not too expensive to break the bank. I will definitely be back!

Came here with two friends on a weekday evening and had a delightful time!Staff and Service:- All of the staff were super nice - When we ordered sake, they made it a fun experience where we each got to choose our own sake glass from a collection they brought to our table (what an easy, but impactful touch!)Food and Drinks:- We got a yuzu sake, which was so good (I don't like sake, but I had multiple glasses of this one)- Salmon Sampler: I can't remember the exact name of this dish, but it was basically 5 different types of salmon - a salmon lover's dream! All the pieces were fresh and delicious - Omakse: my two friends ordered the 12 piece omakase and enjoyed the experience of that as well - Karaage: the sauce this dish came with was very tasty - can be shared amongst a small group Miscellaneous:- Parking available via metered street parking

Okaeri was good quality sushi, yet the service dwindled it for me.We were drawn here for their cheaper nigiri eats. Ambiance on a Saturday night was lively. Definitely on the louder side if you are looking for more of a quiet, cozy date. We were seated 10ish minutes after our reservation time. We were a bit late, but we called and advised the restaurant. We were sat and given menus. Didn't receive water until we asked. Felt rushed. When we asked for recommendations, it was very clear the waitress was just picking the most expensive item of each category since none of them matched what we were asking for. We didn't get wasabi or ginger until asking the sushi chef. Person next to us got it almost immediately. Plum wine was great though!

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday last year and we still talk about this restaurant to this day. Best meal we've had together. The omakase, donburi, and uni toast were all amazing! Also, the hand-signed birthday card by the staff and complimentary dessert were sweet touches. In terms of ambiance, we sat at the bar and the owner was so friendly and took his time explaining each piece. The atmosphere was relaxing and super intimidate. This was truly a perfect birthday spot and I definitely plan on coming back! I recommend having a reservation as seats are limited.

For my early Christmas gift, I asked my sister to take me here for dinner instead of buying me a gift this year so here we are. We came in @7pm and we ordered The Toast, Aburi Saba Oshi, Okaeri Don, and the Pistachio Crepe. The toast was very creamy and just melted away in my mouth. The Aburi Saba Oshi was warm and packed with flavor. The Okaeri Don was fresh and very well balanced. The Pistachio Crepe was light and it had a nice texture to it. All in all, not a single miss. The service at this establishment was very good. The staff are very attentive, kind, knowledgeable on their menu, and provided great recommendations. This restaurant has an elegant and calming vibe to it. It's aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. Their bathroom is also really clean and smells good. I highly recommend checking this spot out! Try it out if you like. :)

This is a great sushi spot in the Mission. We came here for the first time and were very impressed by the dishes we had. We ordered the following:- Uni toast - 4/5 - great to try but I probably wouldn't order again- Assorted tempura - 4/5 - included a nice assortment of vegetables, prawns, and fish- A seasonal donburi with fresh scallops, salmon, tuna, crab, and shrimp - 5/5 - this was by far our favorite dish, I could have eaten two of these!- Scallop king roll - 5/5 - very delicious and fresh- 4 piece nigiri tasting - 3/5 - this was my least favorite dish, I didn't care for the types of fish in this tasting It was a pricey meal, but overall, I really enjoyed it and would definitely go back to try some other rolls and donburis. Service was friendly, but not necessarily attentive - I had to ask for my tea to be refilled several times.
