Stopped by for a quick breakfast before going on a tour of San Francisco. The prices are great and the food was awesome too. Fresh and nice ambiance. The Service was great as well.

They serve salads and wraps here, so there's a reason to return, but I just popped in for a $3.45 Large Cafe au Lait just because of the cool literary name (photo: http://bit.ly/2SYP732). I had thought they had forgotten a 'the' before 'Underground', but no, the actual translation of Fyodor Dostoevsky's existential novel is truly 'Notes from Underground', a book so revered the hero of 'Fahrenheit 451' saved it from being burned. The cafe au lait I had wasn't quite as lucky as I bun my tun, but that was OK as I was digging the low-key vibe on an empty Thursday afternoon despite the construction outside.COFFEE - 3 stars...I bun my tunAMBIANCE - 4 stars...Dostoevsky could write in here...if the jackhammers are offSERVICE - 3.5 stars...quietly effective TOTAL - 3 stars...no "the" hereRELATED - Want a cup of joe? Here's a collection of places I've tried and reviewed: http://bit.ly/30sXK8D

It's the hummus that makes their falafel wrap great. Plus the falafel, of course, lavash bread and the sweetest ladies who work there. They make many appetizing breakfast selections and salads, which I hope to try, but just keep ordering the delicious falafel wrap.

This place was just there for us from r breakfast. Nothing amazing, it was 5 of us and I paid $75, for a lousy coffee and lousy sunny side up eggs. I was really disappointed. The lady was nice but she needs to cook better. None of us finish our food. And we were hungry! My caramel macchiato was disgusting, the foam was thick and heavy. It was hard to stir it in... Waste of money.

This place sucks! I came here because I'm starting a new job in the area and wanted to check out but boy do I regret it. I came here once before and thought it was ridiculous how expensive it was but decided to give it a second chance. Wish I didn't. I got a bagel with really watery, flavorless hummus and an iced coffee with soy milk. It was almost $8 for those items. So stingy. When I opened the bag there was hummus all over the inside of takeout bag. So messy and gross. I had to wash my hands and got stains on my jacket and pants. When I tried to get an itemized receipt because I thought it was ridiculous how expensive it was, the cashier was really weird about it and didn't even try to make the fact that I was clearly disappointed any better. Please stay away. The food is cheap, flavorless, and extremely over priced.

Very sweet workers! The only caveat was the service was lacking. Places an order over the phone 30 mins in advance but it was made when I got there. Skimped out a bit on the salmon for the lox bagel. Not sure if I will be back for the food but the drinks are good.

Extremely friendly staff. Menu is enormous. Hard to choose which one to have. Everything looks amazing. Place is clean and at 8:30 on a Wednesday was not busy at all. You will spend around $3-4 on a coffee and $6-11 on something to eat.
