I ordered a California burrito from DoorDash. I was very disappointed in the quality of the food, specifically the carne asada. I had 3 very big fatty pieces of carne. I had to spit it out. The meat was not cut all the way through so the pieces I spit out were big. I had taken out a good amount of the carne. Everything else about the burrito was really good. I liked the fries in the burrito, the salsa was good and it was a good size. Unfortunately due to the poor quality of the carne asada, I don't think I'll be coming back here.

I decided to try a new burrito, and chose this spot but I am not too satisfied. It has potential because the flavor was good but lacked portions in meat and had too much rice. Also, when you hold the burrito it's kind of loose and not tight like some other burritos you get in the city. All in all, they have potential for a good burrito but it's just okay right now.

I Have Been To A Whole Burrito Joints All Over San Francisco Mission & Valencia Street Area I Also Went To Ŝàñ Màťèo & Śàñ Ĵòśè On My Burrito Adventure!!!!! So Far I Have Been To 2 El Castillo Taqueria Locations In San Francisco My 1st Location That I Went To Was Nearby To Downtown Màćÿś & My 2nd Location That I went to was in the Mission Street Area!!!!! My favorite Burrito that I like ordering would be the the Śùpèř Śťŕêãƙ Ɓùŕřìťò!!!!!If like Ÿèĺpêŕś & Yeĺpèťťêś like eating Super Steak Burrito try going to one of this El Castillo Taqueria Locations!!!!!

Incredible food! Possibly the best tacos I've ever had. I got the regular taco with birria meat and the prawn taco. Friends got the super taco with birria and a taquito chico with carne asada. Everyone was so happy with their orders! Fast and friendly service too. Would highly recommend.

I ordered a chicken burrito bowl the chicken was completely raw and bloody with nasty smell i sadly had a bite into it and my appetite was ruined thinking about how nasty the smell and taste was makes my stomach move again! Ot was very nasty and ruined my dinner. Threw the whole thing away!You should just cook at your home and save your money on these places they don't even know how to cook meat and serves it raw!!! Wtaff!! This raw chicken got me sick as I think it had bacteria browth inside since it was not cooked through. I need to report this to health department now.

This has quickly become my favorite Taqueria in top half of the Mission. Went here on the reccomendation of my roommate on the fourth of July and have been coming ever since.Out of all the Taqueria's above 19th Street, New Castillitio is one of the only one's open late (11 PM during the week, 2AM on weekends). They are also one of the only Taquerias I've found that does both the mission burrito as well as the California Burrito (burrito with fries)The shop itself is your typical taqueria with plenty of seating, and the staff is super friendly.Every time I've gone I have not been dissapointed. My go to order is a Super Burrito (or California Burrito) with Carnitas. The Carnitas from this shop is perfect every time - a great blend of crispy bits and tender meat. Other meats I've tried (Carne Asada and Al Pastor) have also been solid. Also, the salsa verde and salsa roja they provide is really good.If I'm feeling extra hungry, I go for an order of Carne Asada fries as well... but that's only an every now and then thing.Most recently - this place saved me after a very late night out in Oakland after I made my way back in to the city. TLDR - Best Taqueria in the northern part of the Mission (In my Opinion).

I tried my first mission burrito here! Came here for a late lunch and got the super burrito al pastor, carne asada fries, and two chorizo tacos. Everything was on point and so delicious; the fries were FRESH and hot I nearly burnt my tongue. The portions were pretty large, but we came hungry and was able to finish, though I may or may not have staggered out of there overly full. Reading some of the reviews on this page, I wish I had tried the chicken here... but gotta save something for a return trip!

"You have to get tacos in the Mission!" - everyone I talked to I ate here 6 times while visiting SF LOL tacos, burritos, nachos, ALL GOOD + they have a lot of jarrito options

10/10 el pastor burrito and good spicy salsa. The service was prompt and everything was great.
