Just picked up a take out order of several different choices. Love the chicken momo and the spicy lamb curry. The chef/owner was very accommodating. Not a local, but would definitely visit again when I'm in SF.

Depending on your goal, a weekday lunch buffet may be the right move...Get your monies worth and stuff yourself until your seams bust.Get a day's worth of food in one sitting. Or, hibernate afterwards. I usually don't do AYCE and/or buffets so after one and 1/4th plates and some fruit, I was ready to curl up like a cinnamon roll under my desk and KTFO.Props to those who can go hard, plate after plate...and get their monies worth. Opening this week is Nepalese Indian Cuisine at the former Ananda Fuara space. They're from the owners of Urban Curry. Open for takeout, indoor dining, and delivery.During my walk, I saw the "open" sign so decided to give them a try.M E N UNepalese and North Indian Cuisine.Lunch buffet available on the weekdays: 11 AM - 2:45 PM for $21.95 pp. A la carte menu is also available.B U F F E T* Items tried- Salad, fruit, chutneys * // 3 StarsThe watermelon was ripe and juicy but the melons and pineapple were not.- Papadam- Samosa * // 3.5 StarsCrunchy exterior with a savory potato and pea filling. Wish the chutneys were more punchy. - Chicken + Veggie Pakora- Chicken Curry- Chicken Tikka Masala * // 4.5 StarsFav item! The gravy was flavorful and velvety smooth with tender chunks of chicken breast (kinda cold in the center tho).- Goat Curry * // 4 StarsThe reason why I choose the buffet over a la carte (pricey and hard to find). Steaming meaty chunks of bone-in goat in a well-spiced gravy. Mildly spicy.- Tandoori Chicken * // 2 StarsGood char, and flavor was on-point. But, at opening time, it was cold, dry, and very tough. - Aloo Gobi - Saag Paneer * // 4 StarsRich, lightly spiced creamed spinach with firm chunks of ricotta-like cheese. - Biryani * // 4 StarsFreshly made and hot with nicely separated grains. - Plain Naan- Basmati Rice * // 2.5 StarsProperly cooked but it was cold. - Dessert: Kheer, rasgulla, gulab jamun, etcS E R V I C ECordial.A M B I A N C E90s old skool (burgundy and gold) with a waterfall feature and Indian copper chafing trays.P A R K I N GMetered street parking.Overall, nice to see an option for Indian-Nepalese food near work without having to trek deep into the TL.

Indoor decorations are great, with big selection of menu. Service is good since there is only one other table so server is kind and happy, but hard to reach to start the service. They won't check for you after they seated you for a while. The reason of the star is because of disappointing food. We had tandoori and chicken momo, but got very dry so-so taste tandoori and something is off with that sauce of momo; but the malai ball, Rasgulla is superb! We won't come back for food but dessert.

Hey, where's my previous review? Today, Friday lunch, buffet for $21.99 each person. So worth it. An hour lunch does not have time to take pictures. They got me at "chai tea". Yum but they ran out since it was in a thermos. Here's from limited brain memory. Samosa, vegetable, a bit spicy. Naan. White pilaf rice. Fried rice. Paneer. Curry chicken. Chicken masala (my favorite), goat curry. Potato. Fried chicken fingers. Tandoori chicken was super tender (my finger nail is still orange color), greens, cantaloupe, pineapple, watermelon, other sweets. All-in-all a lot of variety.

A very solid addition to the neighborhood (though RIP Ananda Fuara). I had their lunch buffet and as a big goat fan, having goat curry as a buffet item is kinda magical. I work really close by and the prospect of regularly available unlimited goat is probably not good for me, health wise. But it's also probably great for me spiritually so I guess life is about balance.

This was a wonderful surprise to find and fulfill my chicken tikka masala craving. I ordered their lunch box and waited outside. The food tasted incredible and the lunch box was packed full with contents. I was definitely getting my money's worth. It was just past lunch, and they only had one or two tables inside. As a few other reviews had mentioned, The wait for my food was an incredibly long time. I have been back to purchase the same to-go box and unfortunately they seemed to have the same issue both times in the kitchen. If they can work on getting their food out faster, they might be able to get 5 star reviews as well as repeat customers!

I have eaten here several times and always enjoyed the meal. The chili chicken wings were my favorite for a while and lamb momo is delicious comfort food but I think the pan puri is my favorite now. Little pastry cups you pour a broth into before eating. Amazing,I use a wheelchair and have always found the staff to be very helpful.I definitely plan on going back. So glad this restaurant opened in my neighborhood.

I had a terrible experience with this restaurant. I ordered a combo from their menu, but they canceled it. After a phone discussion, I went to pick up my order, only to find that the combo was missing two items. And then charged me for a different item that I never ordered--completely dishonest and misleading. The food itself was just as disappointing. The malai kofta was overly oily, greasy, and lacked good flavor. The naan was soggy, hard, and tasteless. Overall, the service was unprofessional, and the food quality was poor.I would strongly recommend avoiding this place.

We have been to Nepal and find this restaurant to be very authentic. My children loved the biriyani, tikka masala, and naan. The atmosphere and service was great too. We look forward to returning.

If you're thinking of getting a meal for to-go from this restaurant, RUN! I'm sure their lunch buffet that they offer is a better option at $21.99, but my experience here was highly disappointing. I ordered the chicken Tikka-masala lunch box and waited around 40-45 minutes for the to-go food. The place was full, but only at the buffet where food was set already. There was only one other person who ordered to go after me and they had waited the same time as I.When I got the food I was excited to try it only to be met with 3 small pieces of chicken and food that did not have a lot of flavor. Try it at your own risk.
