Natural Market

These guys are really nice. They always are open late so whenever me and my brother need to get pregames, they're always open. Owner is a nice family man.

Semi-decent variety of semi-healthy products (I bought a packed prosciutto, packed grass-fed aged cheese, packed healthy guacamole, the kind of goods one can get at Trader Joe's), but the guy behind the counter has no sense or understanding of customer service: he got all angry at me, cursing the Arabic expletive زب (zb/zib), because I turned the counter's stand card reader towards me in order to tap my payment with my phone--mind you, the card reader rotates on its base so that customers may be able to use it. This man at the counter got easily angry at me simply because I wasn't cordial, then he flipped both of his middle fingers at me! But a dear longtime friend and co-worker of mine happens to live at the apartments above this establishment--she is a longtime customer of Natural Market, mind you--so she came down and asked him what happened. All he could state is that I was rude. That's it.Customer service is lacking at the Natural Market. The guy at the counter flips both of his middle fingers at me, just because I was not cordial to him, just because I turned the card reader in my direction. Unbelievable!!

Yesterday, March 22 2020 in the midst of the Corvid-19 "lockdown" I was very grateful that Waseem kept his store open and stocked. I have been doing business with him since the date he openedThat day I bought several items totalling $44.40. One of them was a jar of Laura Scudder smooth peanut butter. I took my purchases home and processed the peanut butter the way I do...with a hand mover and narrow spiral blade to mix the butter and the oil. The peanut butter was very hard and would not mix properly. It a actually broke the motor it was so hard. I then looked at the jar for an expiration date but could not find one. I went to the store and asked Waseem where the date was. He showed me a label on the back of the jar. I went home (just a block away) and checked the jar. It did not have back label. I took it to show Waseem. He immediately raised his voice and yelled "that did not come from my store!" I tried to talk/explain and he just yelled louder and louder. I know he has a video setup showing transactions and tried to ask him to check it out to see that jar had no back label. He just yelled and accused me of removing the back label. WHY would I remove the back label if it could prove the product was out of date? (I have often pointed out expired dates on Waseem's products and in the past he was always appreciative.So Waseem, look at your video dated March 23 2020 at 4:34:19 PM at the peanut butter aisle and at the register checkout. You should see the jar with no back label.I am also posting an image of my receipt. NOTICE it says CASH. I did not pay cash but used a charge card. If I wanted tot cheat you out of 5.49 for a jar of PB, what would stop me from telling my charge card company that I paid cash and getting the whole amount refunded? By posting this image and saying I paid by card I assume that prevents me from doing that.So Waseem, check your video. You should see the jar had no back label.Thanks.

Best corner store in the city, don't know what I'd do without it. They have a robust selection of wine, beer and snacks. In addition they stock some good essentials like milk, cheese, bread and some fruit. One Fridays and Mondays they also offer a good selection of fresh flowers. On top of all of that the owner is incredibly friendly and good natured, so much so, that I choose to buy from them instead of major chains fairly often. I'd rather support a local business and the owner makes it an easy choice.

I usually just buy a bottle of wine on my way home but I made a huge mistake today. DONT BUY FOOD HERE. I bough an innocent frozen pizza and it is a block of mold. HOW DO FROZEN THINGS GET MOLDY!!!??

A corner store with everything you could possibly need. Beer, wine, liquor, milk, chips, cookies, candy, fresh fruit, soup, ice cream, pet food, string cheese - Natural Market has it. Prices are reasonable given its convenience, and the owner is very nice.

Simply the best corner store/market ever.And it's not just their stellar wine and beer selection, the wide-range of snacks, or the fresh produce- it's Wassim, his family, and his employees, who go above and beyond to just be great people. If I ever had to move out of the neighborhood, leaving behind the Natural Market would hands-down be the most difficult part for me.

This corner store used to be an empty space with bare shelves except for a few bottles of liquor. Why the owner didn't carry any merchandise is beyond me. Then he sold the store. The new owner has stocked the store with loads of quality merchandise like fresh fruit (maybe organic but not sure), fresh flowers, some good wines and even cowgirl creamery cheeses. I even ran into him one Saturday down at the farmer's market picking up fresh eggs. So locals to the area, if you're going to pay convenience store prices at Mollie Stone's anyway, how about checking this store to see if they have what you need and support the local guy?

I go here everyday. People are nice, and they have a much better selection than most corner stores.
