Food - ordered chicken katsu curry and it was so good - EXCEPT not a whole lotta meat! We needed to order chicken karaage just for extra meat womp womp. Service - not making eye contact when you need it the most but otherwise, nice and fast.Ambiance - i like it, casual, and enough space between tables - not too far, not too close but can still react to other people's convo! Hahahaha

We came with a party of 4 & I have never written a bad review, I usually just don't come back, but this experience was an exception because dining here was very frustrating.-Tonkotsu Ramen: the broth tasted like water + oil with no flavor. The ramen noodles were undercooked in every single ramen bowl we ordered (4). -Sapporo Miso Ramen: the broth tasted a little better than the tonkotsu ramen, but not by a lot. It still tasted like water with light flavor. The noodles were undercooked to the point where it was still stuck together (look at the picture). The pork was the only decent thing in this bowl. -Deep Fried California Roll: each of us tried one but not one of us took a second bite. -Takoyaki: it wasn't as bad as the other dishes but I won't recommend it. -Chashu Rice Bowl: the rice was not edible, we just ate the 2 pieces of chashu on top.-Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl: rice wasn't edible, we just ate the teriyaki chicken on the top. Service: we waited at least 15 minutes before someone came up to our table & we even tried to raise our hand to get an employees attention. They also did not give us water so we spent an extra 5 minutes trying to wave someone down to ask for water. Ambiance: the tables were pretty close together & it felt a little crowded but the booths were okay!

The food wasn't too great. I did like the curry can't really go wrong there. The Sushi I wasn't too excited about. The store had the customary plastic food like Japan. It was interesting the ordering process it was almost like a dimsum place. It was pretty large. It took them awhile to get the sashimi out.

Ordered the Daimyo B which came with sashimi pieces, hot soba, California Rolls, and salad. The sashimi seems well-cut. The California Rolls were standard. The hot soba was well-done, but the soup was not very flavorful. The salad was very basic with very dry cabbage. I all so tried the pork katsu, and it was well fried. The service was responsive. And the ambiance was fitting for a Japanese restaurant.

Came in for lunch after the movies. Guess I should of looked at the reviews before, but figured since we're in Japantown in a Japanese Restaurant it would be good at least. I was wrong. The Sapporo Miso Ramen, broth had no flavor and the ramen was under cooked a little. The salmon hand roll had no sauce. The only good thing is the Vegetable Tempura with Shrimp, you really cant mess that up.Service was okay.

First of all, the service was BELOW subpar. The waitress was visibly annoyed what we asked if we could get 2 tabs. When the food came, the eggroll wrapper was raw on the inside. The food had average flavor, but worst of all, when the waitress dropped off the food. They didn't even give it to the proper person. They handed it to the wrong person. Very rude service. We're never giving our hard earned money to this restaurant again. Wish there was an option to give less than one star.

The food was okay. I was with a group of 6. The service at first wasn't good, but then we got switched to a different waitress who was younger than the others and knew more English. She was at least nicer than the others. Honestly, I couldn't really enjoy the food because the restaurant had this overpowering smell of chemicals. I just couldn't enjoy it. I wanted the food to get to us fast so we can get out of there. The cleanliness wasn't that great. The tables are super crowded. I'll be trying another place if I'm back in the area. I really couldn't get over the chemical smell. My husband noticed the smell but I guess it wasn't that overpowering for him. It was too much for me. So if you've got smell sensitivity, pregnant and can't stand smells? Don't go here.

Nande-Ya has become one of our go-to places for lunch or dinner when we go to Japantown. Service was good, we got our food within a reasonable amount of time. Also, there is less room for error because instead of waiters taking orders, customers mark down what they want directly on the laminated menu. I ordered a Unagi Rice Bowl with a Tuna Poke side, and my family ordered different types of ramen plus some Nande-Ya rolls and seaweed salad. The food was great, I especially loved the freshness of the tuna and the flavor of the sushi! There's still plenty I want to try on the menu, will stop by again next time!

This place was cute inside. Very pretty but the tables smelled of hand sanitizer. Also they close waaaay too early. They wanted us to pay because the kitchen was closing down. We did no problem. But then we were still eating and they said we had to leave at 8:30pm . We were paying guests. I believe restaurant should not kick out paying customers and wait until they leave. Ask the food was very mid. It wasn't anything special. I wouldn't come here again

Came here with a party of 4. I got the Zara udon & the dinner tempura + sashimi meal. The Zara udon was refreshing & not a heavy meal, I would recommend ordering more food than the Zara udon by its self as it's not filling for a complete meal. All of my friends gotten their meal alongside with my Zara udon. There was a hiccup in which the server brought one of the wrong ramen order. Additional I was waiting for my dinner tempura + sashimi meal for over 40 mins after our initial order. At this point of time all of my party members were close to finishing their food. I had to ask the server about it, I'm pretty sure they have forgot to put my order though. By the time I have received my order everyone was done eating. The tempura+sashimi dinner was alright, one of the carrot tempura was undercooked, it was crunchy when I took a bite of it. The sashimi was fresh & delicious. Even though I ate this meal I was still left hungry from the experience...
