Mustafio's Pizza

Halloween weekend was probably one of the more chaotic times to visit Mustafio's Pizza, but I enjoyed it! The pizza shop was busy, but luckily there was no wait to order. The owner kept rushing us though, which led to an unnecessarily stressful ordering experience. It was also unclear whether or not they accepted credit cards, because he kept shouting "cash is better!". We placed our order, grabbed a high-top table, and our slices came out almost immediately. I really loved my Chicken Pesto slice - great flavors, generous amounts of chicken! It was also very filling and ended up being the perfect lunch/snack for an afternoon of bar hopping. Would return!

I come here late at night, and I don't know what he puts in the pizza, but it's the best tasting pizza I ever had (I only get the pepperoni)Always have a fun little chat, everyone is really nice, and it has some nice seating!

Great pizza! Amazing after bar hopping on Polk streeet and the owner is super nice. Juicy and heated up quick and they close at 4am

Very disappointing! I really expected a restaurant on such a busy street to be so much better! I came in and was super friendly to the man at the door, Zeke, who I later learned was the owner. I politely ordered then asked about the restroom. Once in the restroom there was not a shred of toilet paper nor paper towels. Once I left the horrible situation I let zeke know that there was nothing to utilize in the restroom and he said yes we do not keep any type of toilet paper or paper towel in there because the homeless steal. And I said I definitely understand that but as a paying customer I would've appreciated a notice or you could only reserve the toilet paper for those who are genuinely customers at your restaurant. The owner did not care and proceeded to say that even customers steal from him so there is no point. It was pretty sad as I try to support small businesses as much as possible but it's clear this city has tainted this owners perspective on humanity. I will not be returning! Hopefully there can be a change in this attitude moving forward!

Best slice of pizza I had for the price they charge. Just ran into this shop while walking on the street, never heard of it before (I was visiting SFO from SEA), was presently surprised with the first bite and devoured it till the end.

Walking by, it's hard not to stare at the pizza in the window and honestly it's what drew me into this place. It was a busy night on Polk st. and the pizzas were looking hot n fresh. However, I decided against it at the time but made my way back a couple days later and what I learned is that when coming here, I think time makes a difference. The first time I came here was on a random weekday night (sober) looking for a quick bite, and the pizza tasted as if it had been sitting there for a while. I decided to give the pepperoni a shot and they reheated the slice and I ate it there. The dough was overly crispy and the cheese and sauce lacked flavor. It's a pretty big slice for under $5, so if you are looking to get full, one of these would do the trick. The next visit, I was out with some friends at the bars, and this was the closest slice so I gave em the ol college try again. This time I went with the chicken pesto and plain cheese. Chicken pesto was definitely my favorite of the two. The trick that made it better for me was not asking them to reheat it and I did it myself at home. If you wanna know the trick to reheating pizza correctly, it's through the air-fryer, which is basically a convection oven. This made the pizza taste way better and wasn't dried out like the first time. I think the best time to come is after the bars, when the lines are long and they are pumping out pizzas constantly. It's not my favorite pizza, but after a night out, it serves its purpose. If you can get it hot n fresh, go for it. If you have to reheat it, take it home and use that air-fryer, you'll thank me later.

Calzone was a piece of art ' with spinach, ham, and olives, all in perfect harmony, the flavor sang like an angel.
