Love Mr Pollo!! Definitely make a resy since there are only 12 seats inside. 4 course dining experience (appetizer, arepa, entree, and dessert) for $49/person. There menu does change depending on what's in season. We got to try their goat cheese pomegranate salad, chicken arepa, brown sauce pork with orzo, and their blueberry panna cotta. Everything was so delicious and I was stuffed after the meal. Definitely bang for your buck!

Last night I came for my second visit in two months. It is incredible. It is possibly my favorite restaurant in San Francisco as a local that has lived in the Bay Area for over 20+ years. They change the menu regularly and it is a set 4-course tasting meal for $49/person. They have a wide array of wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks to go with the meal (all reasonably priced). The team behind Mr Pollo makes the experience for me. The chef is able to talk at length about his culinary experience and thought process behind each course. All ingredients are sourced locally by him. Overall, though it is a small space with 12 seats, it makes the dining experience feel homey because of how warm the Mr Pollo team is. I recommend making a reservation 2 weeks in advance. I can't wait to be back.

Had a date night there and it was amazing! It's an intimate space with just two staff (the chef and the server). The ingredients are from local farmers and the chef creates the dishes based on what's in season! Reservations are hard to come by so snag them while you can!

Delicious menu priced fairly! The staff is super friendly and it feels like you're eating at a friends home super cozy inside and quick service. Only a few tables so getting inside can be difficult but if you plan right it's well worth the effort.

Been here twice. Love the vibe, intimate space, you can watch the chef prepare food and chat with them. You can book the whole space for an event. Seasonal ingredients, sensible and not overly complex recipes. The staple is the arepa, juicy and crunchy. Would keep coming back.

Planned a random weekday date night. Was seated on the only 2 counter seats in the restaurant right in front of Chef Graham. Restaurant was tiny, loved the art on the walls, but it did get a little smokey as most of the cooking appears to come from the griddle. Enjoyed all 4 courses ($45pp). Menu changes every few weeks I believe. Would've loved if they either provided a menu or had it written on a white board or something. We had a chilled melon soup with whipped yogurt, half a pork arepa, a local bass, and a blueberry peach cobbler with house made plum gelato. It was all delicious. I'm a little shy so didn't engage in too much conversation with the chef but had a great time learning about how he and his business partner ended up with the restaurant concept, local restaurant recommendations, and his life experiences. Reservation was made via Resy.

Mr. Pollo was a solid dinner right by 24th Street BART next to La Santaneca. Perfectly cozy and tasty food showcasing local produce.I booked on Resy, and apparently the reservations for the week open at noon on the Thursday before, so that's the time to snag a 6 pm or 8 pm seating. Just 12 seats for two seatings a night, so you can book out the place with your friends for a special evening. We knew we were in good hands when the starter was a butternut rugosa prosciutto croquette. A Thanksgiving squash we were familiar with, and Graham noted there was a farm in Nicasio that grew them.Spoiled about the arepa, but those maitake mushrooms and the pickled jicama-like veggie was so good, with some avocado to make it all creamy.Third course was the duck leg on barley, we ate up everything. And finished on a simple cake, candied kumquats. There's one pair of seats at the counter if you want to watch Chef Graham Bellefeuille at work. Definitely will be back!

This place is an absolute gem. We sat at the bar and the chef was super friendly. More importantly the food was amazing and 4 courses for $49 is an insane value! Just go.

I had a lovely time at Mr Pollo; the setting is small and intimate but cozy, the food is no frills and delicious, and overall such a nice vibe for a semi-nice dinner. It's a two man show of owner and chef! The whole place only seats about 12, and you definitely get close to your table neighbors since it's a squeeze. We chose the bar seating and it directly faces the kitchen and the chef. The chef was so nice and talked with us the whole night, sharing stories about his 22 year career or describing ingredients and where he gets them locally. You can really tell he cares about food and is so knowledgable! Apparently the menu changes every few days, but turns over completely every 2 weeks ish.We had a chilled green bean salad, chicken arepa, pork loin entree, and french apple pie for dessert. We also tried the daily pineapple guava soda. I left feeling full but not overly stuffed, and it's such a nice place to chill and have a lovely dinner w a friend or partner. Everything was delicious and plated right in front of us! The owner Will was also gracious and cheery.
