Delicious food, consistently excellent and fresh. Very cool vibes and friendly engaging staff. Great SF family owned establishment in the Dogpatch for over 30 years! My go to is the Chicken Katsu dinner which includes delicious miso soup and salad. Always cooked perfectly!

Cute little place with sparse, modern decor style. Greeter was extremely polite, even as he had to turn me away because they were booked out. Then, bless his heart, followed me outside to call me (dining alone, so small check) to let me know they'd had a cancellation. Up the street from Chase Center, but if you're thinking of grabbing a pre-concert drink and sushi, make a reservation. Busy place, or my server didn't like me? Also, two areas so if the visible portion seems full there might be seats in the inner room. Lola's Cabana: sweet but packs a punch. Very lemon finish.Spicy salmon: spice level concerning tingle to brief burn to 'oh that wasn't so bad' on the White Guy Scale. That's a lot of fish crammed in there for only $10. Ooh, is my tongue still burning? Oh no, the alcohol makes it worse. Futo krispy: That first bite had me worried, very tempura heavy. Subsequent bites, the middle of the role, had a clean balance of the ingredients. Worthwhile if you like tempura and prefer a mild, non-spicy roll.

First time back since the start of the Covid Times. It was better than ever. Delicious food and great service. Do recommend making reservations though there wasn't a long line on a Saturday evening, it seemed most folks did have reservations. They have some unique signature dishes and all the sushi and rolls we had were great.

One of my go-to spots for Japanese food in SF!! Like this is where I eat dinner after I've had a bad day LOLThey have REALLY good bacon-wrapped mochi!! I'd also always get one of their sushi "bombs" and some kind of tempura. The flavor combos are really unique compared to other Japanese spots in the bay. Plus I love the atmosphere here and our servers have always been really sweet!!

We've passed by this place dozens of times and finally stopped by to try it out. Apparently it's been open for decades, but the space is modern and cozy. The food was delicious. We couldn't help but order lots of specials - they looked so good! We had the bacon wrapped mochi (decadent), hamachi bomb (bombs of tastiness), sake bomb (also the bomb), and spicy tuna bomb (intense in a good way. We also ordered the Golden Gate maki and uni. Everything was flavorful and fresh. Service was a bit off - we received a dish we didn't order - but overall we will be back!

Low three stars. Service was pretty off, food was good.We asked for a hot water and tea and for me and my partner, they brought out four cups. Then the server said he was getting our regular water, which we said we don't need, and then he still brought a pitcher of regular water with two more cups. So here we are at a tiny two top, two people and six cups. When we asked for a refill of both the hot water and the tea, we only got the hot water refilled. Our first dish came out, the asparagus, and then we realize we didn't have utensils. We had to go ask them for that. One of the rolls we ordered was the honey moon. They brought out instead two rolls of the half moon. Luckily they did comp the half moon rolls that were accidentally ordered. But when we got our bill the half moon was still listed, they did then remove it when I mentioned it.Overall on the sushi, the rice was fresh and sticky, the fish also fresh and had good flavor. https://moshimoshilunch.nom.menu/explore/Lunch/Maki%20RollsGrilled asparagus 3.5 starsThese were very fat and thick and grilled nicely, and they had a nice vinaigrette sauce on it.Half Moon Maki - 2.5 starsThis is the role that was accidentally brought to a table. It's quite bland and boring.Honeymoon - 3 starsInteresting with the chili honey, though the honey was a little overwhelming of the fish flavors for me.Fire lizard - 3 starsThis was fine, but the tuna was really not spicy at all.Futo crispy - 4 starsBoth of our favorite role, really nice light tempura crisp on the seaweed, lovely mix of different fish.

We came across this place before going to a show in the nearby stadium. We had no idea what to expect. Wow. They deserve 5/5 stars. Their rolls were amazing. The drinks were amazing. They gave us truly a great experience. Our waiter was so kind and explained everything on the menu, asked us what show we were going to, etc. Very personable staff with a very nice ambiance with the dimmed lighting, the sushi bar where you can see the sushi chef. One of us got the Japanese whisky to try and they brought it out on a nice tray with ice. I really enjoyed my experience, I'd go back anytime I'm in the area

Unreal how amazing this is. I'm not really a sushi person, to be honest, but I really enjoyed the food here. And the atmosphere. And the drinks! The workers were really great, too. Everyone was so kind, helpful, and friendly.Personally, I recommend the Tempura Shrimp, because it was some of the best I've ever had.Local or visitor, you really should check it out.

I would give Moshi Moshi 3.5 stars - the food is not bad but it's not particularly good and I find the portions of the sushi small for the price. We ordered: - Shishito Peppers ($9) - The tempura is really great - it's light, crispy and perfectly salted. Be forewarned though: it truly is a game of pepper roulette! The first pepper I ate was so spicy I teared up! - Hamachi Bomb ($9.75) - the hint of yuzu in these is nice!- Futo Krispy ($14.95) - I had high expectations for this because I liked the tempura on the shishito peppers but this was an odd dish. The sushi was warm because it was fried and it wasn't particularly flavourful or fresh tasting. - Carmel ($14.95) - I was really surprised there were only 5 pieces in this roll.

Food: 5/5Service: 5/5Amazing food and great ambiance!! Menu is quite different than other sushi restaurants - so many options to choose from! Recommend trying any if not all their special "bombs" - we got one of each - unique and great taste for all of them! The fish in all sushi tasted super fresh and amazing flavors. Big variety of cocktails to choose from - can't go wrong with any of them. Lanny and Sarah are the best! Lanny really knows his flavors - ask him about the whiskey they serve - and Sarah was such a great hostess - she gave us great recommendations on food - if you have any questions regarding the menu, you can ask both of them! Food came out quick and portions were huge! Would 10/10 recommend!
