this review isn't 100% fair because i couldn't try their pizza and most of their pasta options because of my gluten allergy...but from what i ordered the pasta was delicious! i never had such good gluten free pasta before. the noodles were so chewy and the beef veal sauce was light and not too salty or greasy. it came with a dollop on cheese on top as well which was a perfect addition to the dish. i loved that they had gluten free bread as an option as well which also tasted pretty solid! the service was amazing and i loved how the waitress we had was so passionate about every item on the menu. the ambiance of the restaurant is also so romantic and beautiful. can't wait to go back when my allergies get less severe and try more of their food!

This is a lovely spot for pinsa's (slightly different but the same as pizzas) in the marina! We did take out and they had a few deals that were lovely so we got dessert. The margarita pinsas were delicious. Pick up was on time and they were warm when we got home. Great service! Since the bread is slightly thicker than a traditional margarita it was lovely for take out and not soggy at all!! High quality flavors! The chocolate torta was yummy but slightly lacked flavor! But the carmel sauce was sooo good on top! I wanted more to go with the torta. Overall great spot with a variety of options. Great for take out as it really holds its hot freshness

Disappointed by my latest visit. The house baked bread at the start ended up being my favorite part of the meal. The bread is fluffy and goes so well with the olive oil + a dab of flaky salt. They no longer had the eggplant fritters, so we got squash fritters instead. Unfortunately, this had no discernible squash taste, and was too cheesy for me, though others seemed to like it. This time, I opted for a margherita pinsa (and added proscuitto), but the crust wasn't as soft and airy as I recalled. Pretty underwhelming. My boyfriend was super bummed that they no longer had the carbonara because that was his favorite pasta in the city (and our main reason for coming). Instead got the lasagna zucca e funghi, which he didn't like (I thought was better than the pinsa, although too cheesy for me to eat much of).

Viviana invited me back after my last review. The chef brought out an array of dishes and everything was absolutely delicious! Our favorite was the paella and Maiale. The pork shoulder fell apart in your mouth and was so flavorful! Each dish was seasonal and we had a lovely selection of fresh seafood. Thank you Viviana!

Tasty food but there was very little meat in my meat dish, very little calamari in the calamari dish and Very small servings, Very expensive. Waitress and service was very nice and helpful. Ambiance is very nice. Overall it just not worth the price that is charged. They need to provide more to justify charging the prices they want to get.

I have been to Montesacro a few times. If you only get entrees they are good but it leaves something to be desired. They are pretty expensive and small portion size. One time when I came they were doing a panzanella salad as a special for an app and that was amazing. Otherwise, I feel everything has been good, but nothing I couldn't get at another Italian restaurant in the marina. Actually, except for the gnocchi, which was very good. Their service is great and they have a cozy dining room.

Having eaten at Montesacro SOMA many times, we were excited about Montesacro Marina. So when some friends asked us to check it out we were all over it! We started with the pork Porchetta, Slow Roasted Pork, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Sea Salt, Fennel and Oranges, Olives. The oranges, fennel and pork was a heavenly combination!Second was the CARBONARA. Rigatoni, Egg Yolk, Guanciale, Pecorino, Black Pepper. Perfect. Loved the Rigatoni!Next came the Roman Pinsas:CLASSIC MARGHERITA - Tomato, Mozzarella, Basil and theMONTESACRO - Potato, Artichokes, Lamb Sausage, Buffalo Mozzarella, ChiliAll fantastic!! The wine pairings and service were heavenly!!We'll be back!!

The service was excellent, kind, and welcoming! As for the new menu items, the CARCIOFI & ANATRA DUO were favs! Not sure what the fish/collar dish was called but it was also very good! The homemade bombolone and espresso martinis were a perfect way to end the night!

This restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed with warm smiles and outstanding service. The manager, Tiziano, is incredible--he's attentive, personable, and clearly passionate about creating an unforgettable dining experience. The service staff, including Erin, Lauren, and Luis, go above and beyond to make every visit special. They're knowledgeable, friendly, and make you feel like family. The food is exceptional, with rich Italian flavors that transport you straight to Italy. They offer a pre-set menu for holidays, which is always a treat and perfect for exploring new dishes. While everything we've tried is fantastic, our absolute favorite is the Pinsa--it's unlike anything else, with a light, crispy crust and perfectly balanced toppings. The ambiance is perfect for a cozy night out or a special celebration, and the full bar adds an extra layer of enjoyment with a great selection of drinks to complement the meal.If you're looking for incredible Italian cuisine paired with top-notch service and a welcoming atmosphere, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!from Tom, Tess & Jennifer

This is lovely Italian restaurant, ideal for a date night or intimate evening with a few friends, whether indoors or in the parklet. The risotto balls had subtle and creamy flavors. The persimmon salad with pickled onions was one I'd get again. The slightly sweet squash and savory mushroom lasagna was exactly the entree that I was looking for. The chocolate torte with a caramel drizzle was the perfect ending to the meal. Also, the wait staff is attentive and cheerful.
