Easy to get seated early on a Sunday evening. (They also were willing to set a table for me when I called in advance.)Food started coming out pretty quickly after ordering. We enjoyed all our dishes and ate everything we ordered... the tempura sweet potato was a major hit! The sushi rolls were all delicious and the fish was fresh. My daughter appreciated that the plain udon was really plain. The chicken udon was pretty large and enough to share. They came back to refill the water and tea often. And the servers were friendly and attentive. It's very close to Golden Gate Park... and just a short drive to the Golden Gate Bridge.

We've been 10+ years old customers of this establishment and they prepare a vegetarian roll for us that is a constant reason to keep returning for more.

Good food and in my neighborhood! Friendly service, pretty good size menu with a nice variety of sushi, rolls, and some cooked options. The only reason I give 4/5 stars is because some items were a little lacking in flavor. The udon soups were good, but the broth wasn't super flavorful (tempura udon and the plain udon)...tempura was good though! Ended up getting the dipping sauce for half of it. The portion was big! Chirashi bowl and sashimi platters were nice size cuts of fish. Delicious! My friend got a spicy scallop roll, but she wished it was spicier. Everything was good and tasted fresh, just wished some items had a little more flavor.

My favorite sushi spot in the Inner Richmond!!! I've eaten both to dine in AND for take out and the food STAYS CONSISTENT! (That says a lot about this place as I've experienced that it's one or the other for sushi bars). The service is friendly and punctual! I usually order the oshinko roll, mango avocado roll, walnut prawn roll, and the San Francisco Roll. If you're in the mood for small plates or the entrees those are solid choices too. Pleased that there is a reliable and delicious sushi spot near me whenever I'm in the mood for it!

We were in the area and decided to come to Mizutani as we have always ordered from here during the early Covid days but have never visited in person! Overall a solid experience. We got the Double Toro Roll, Dragon Roll, Hamachi Truffle, Agedashi Tofu, Mushroom Soup and Sweet Tempura Roll. Our fav was the Double Toro roll and Hamachi Truffle. We were stuffed at the end of the meal!

A solid choice for sushi in the neighborhood. I've only ever gotten takeout here so can't speak to the in dining experience. BUT my takeouts have been consistent and it is my go to when craving sushi as it's only a couple blocks from me. Service is always nice. I love the cherry blossom roll and spicy scallop. Will keep coming back for my weekly sushi fix!

First time ordering food here! Called for sushi takeout on Friday and lady said it'll take roughly 30-40mins but it took well over an hour. I don't mind waiting but if you know you're busy, please give a more accurate time and not just a time so it doesn't seem too long of a wait for the customer. The food here is good for the price so I'm sure your customers won't mind waiting a little longer. Ordered double hamachi roll which was super good and the hamachi tasted fresh! Also ordered amaebi, scallop, Saba, and tuna nigiri. all were so delicious and you also get a choice of edamame or California roll on the house but not sure what amount you have to spend on that! But for 2 rolls and 4 nigiris it came out to be about $64. Overall, not a bad sushi spot in the richmond district.

2.5 if i could :/for the love of jebus, do not get their udon. it's REALLY REALLY REALLY BAD. very chinese owned. which is fine, but again if ya cant get things right, that's when i get disappointed. i was really craving some california roll and wanted something hot as well. so i got the sakura roll, california roll, and tempura udon. the wait time was decent and the service was good ! i can appreciate that. but i guess when i asked what they recommend from their menu, they weren't able to give a clear answer in terms of stuff that isn't sushi, then again it is a sushi bar. my companion said the sakura roll is great. so get that if you like fish. however i'm deeply upset that they put furikake/seasoning on top of my california roll? it distracts the flavor of the crab and just shouldn't be on top of it..oh man. OH MAN. don't JUST DONT GET THEIR UDON. do you see? the soup base is white. it's flavorless. the soup was so bad yall. i really, reallyyyy don't know how they can mess up udon like that. they also include things that shouldn't even be in udon (cabbage, tofu, carrots). their tempura is good. i believe they seasoned it a little so it has some salt, BUT BUT BUT they did not include the tempura sauce (because that sauce and soy sauce aren't the same) which makes the already salt tempura even salty-er. again i'm being critical of food that isn't sushi at a sushi bar but as a restaurant, everything on the menu has to taste at least good enough. ya feel?

My friends and I made a reservation for Mizo on 12/4. the staff was friendly and our server was extremely knowable in regards to the menu. He took his time with us and answered all of our questions. The restaurant offers small plates and sharables. My favorite dishes were the Cali Love Roll, Crispy Fried Potatoes, and the Confetti Shrimp. The ambiance was nice as it gave a sexy vibe. Defiantly would recommend this place for a night out with the girls or date night.

Unless you want to spend over $100 a person, this is by far the best sushi in San Francisco, and extremely affordable. The sushi is excellent. The Omakase tasting menu is a great value at $44 for ten pieces, usually including at least two pieces of belly portion (e.g., tuna, salmon, hamachi, ocean trout). They almost always have an ankimo appetizer. The grilled calamari appetizer is the largest grilled (and best) calamari we've had. The hostess Kico is amazingly welcoming, and the chefs always smile and are very friendly. The house white wine is an inexpensive quaff and very enjoyable. At the risk of losing our seats at the sushi bar, this place is not to be missed.
