hands down as someone who is very picky with their ramen, this ramen is literally LIFE CHANGING. BY FAR THE BEST RAMEN I'VE EVER EATEN IN SF. Service was quick! Wish the place was bigger though. -ramen is thick, broth very rich -20/10

Stopped here on a Thursday night around 7 and waited 20 minutes. Pretty small inside, but the restaurant has divided the tables for an interesting shared dining experience. Ordered 2 signature toripaitan ramens and the enoki mushroom appetizer. The enoki mushroom was very crispy & chewy, the batter reminded me of calamari. The main flavor was oil & lemon. Overall probably wouldn't order it again for $7, but was interesting to try. The toripaitan ramens were delicious. $23 for a bowl of ramen is pretty steep, but honestly would order it again. The flavor, meat, and all toppings were delicious. The broth was rich and creamy without being too heavy. Would definitely go again here, probably would aim for a weekday though.

The line on a Saturday evening was about a 20-minute wait for 2 people and the menu includes several interesting and experimental broth flavors, including matcha duck ramen which I ordered. All ingredients were fresh and high-quality, though the matcha broth will lean salty and thick. Some chili oil to cut through the salt and heavy texture would have improved the taste a bit. Note that they do have a 1 bowl minimum per person policy so if you're not too hungry, I would recommend trying this another time.

Finally I actually had the time to go stand in line just like everybody else and their love birds. Except this time I went alone, It's okay I didn't have to pay for someone else (love bird) because this was expensive bowl of ramen.Must be patience because the line is always long, but if you come alone you will get a priority and will get your spot faster.Once inside and your order taken, you will get your bowl of ramen in about 8 minutes.I've had the Spicy Style Lamb Ramen $24.00 & An order of Spicy Corn $8.00 =About $42.00 with tax and tip.The broth was creamy and salty, the noodle was perfect. Was it good?I'm being honest with you, taking everything into consideration this is an overrated place. But if you say this is the best ramen, I highly suggest you to travel more.

The best spot for a creamy and filling vegetarian ramen in the city - the ingredients taste delicious and fresh. They seem to have a very interesting take on the ramen ingredients they serve - I tried their GKO vegan ramen and it was absolutely fantastic - perfect for every mood. They don't do tofu in ramen instead they have impossible meats which I doubted will taste good for a bit but that was one of my favorite parts of the ramen bowl. I also enjoyed their corn appetizer - amazing spices and taste. Highly recommend checking out this spot if you're not in a hurry because the lines can be huge. Also they have very tasty drink selection - their mango soju was my favorite.

Big Mitch here aka ramen connoisseur. Hands down the best ramen I've had. The balance between broth, ramen, toppings, oil, and saltiness was ITTTT. Ramen surpassed my expectations, obviously. The vegan mushrooms were ok, as the fried parts got a bit soggy. But man those enokis were hittin me where I need to be hit. Food was overall A1, top tier. Service was also quick, helpful, resourceful given the small space they had to work with. What was wild was while waiting in like for 20 minutes, people are just taking dumps right on the curb. Foul ball, foul play, foul smell. That being said, I'll be back

The ramen is so good! The service is nice and quick. You may have to wait in line but it's totally worth it. I had a friend in town visiting so we decided to grab ramen and edamame. We had a nice dinner and both ordered the same thing. The egg was cooked to absolute perfection!

The line was out the door last night! Surprisingly, it moved pretty quickly and it took about 30 mins to be seated. We usually come later in the evening so I've never seen a crowd this big. Our order got taken right away and the food came in a blink of an eye. It's rare to find ramen broth this hearty made with chicken and not pork. Also they feature a few options that are vegan. The noodles are aldente. Broth is hearty, savory and flavorful. Egg is cooked to perfection and the staff is quick and incredibly kind. Chashu duck and regular chashu both are delicious! We'll keep coming back because it's always worth the wait!

After a disappointing "pre-dinner," I was still hungry and stumbled upon Mensho Tokyo SF with no line at 5:30 PM--a rarity! Without hesitation, we jumped in and were seated instantly. Talk about good timing! We ordered the GKO ramen and the Tori Paitan ramen, and both were absolutely phenomenal. The eggs were cooked to perfection, the noodles had the perfect texture, and the broth was rich, smooth, and packed with flavor. It was so good I couldn't leave a single drop. I finished every last bit, including the broth! My only regret? Not ordering a second bowl for myself. This is hands-down my go-to spot for ramen, and I can't wait to return to explore the rest of the menu. Despite the small, cramped seating and the famously long lines, the quality of the food makes it all worth it. The staff inside are incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the great experience. The only downside is the area, which can feel a bit sketchy, but as long as you mind your own business, you should be fine. Overall, Mensho Tokyo SF is an absolute gem for ramen lovers--just get there early if you want to avoid the wait!
